Chapter 23

Rosabella 's P.o.v

My eyes nearly popped on my head, why would he come here? Is he completely deranged? The vampires all hate him, they could all rip him to pieces if everybody was here.

"You know I had to make sure you were okay," I feel his eyes on me.

"I am fine Arjun."

"Look, you need to leave immediately," I hear Finn's voice. I know everything would be out of his control, and the other vampires wouldn't think twice about killing him.

"This isn't over, I will never give up fighting for my mate."

"The decision is already made. She'll be changed into a vampire by morning."

"What?" I see Arjun's fist shake, violently at his side.

"You need to leave Arjun."

"I would never let them change you."

"It's not your choice." My eyes could hardly face him, so I looked down on the ground.

"You're right, it's your choice, and I'm going to make sure you choose wisely."

Hours later, Finn went on a hunting trip with Cedric, Dominic, Cassandra and Blair. He didn't really want to go, but I told him I'll be fine. He needed some time for himself. I walk down the street and decide to go window shopping. In the window of a little jelly shop, a ruby necklace with a werewolf in the center catches my attention. It was absolutely breathtaking, but I know a Finn wouldn't like me wearing something that had a werewolf on it.

"Beautiful piece of jewelry."

Arjun's voice made me jump. And that silly look at his face was even more aggravating.

"I have nothing to say to you."

"Only because your little vampire told you not to communicate with me."

"That isn't it."

"Yeah sure."

He steps towards me, making my insides twist around each other. He was having an effect on me, it was clear and I know it. I've been fighting all this time, trying to not acknowledge it.

His hand grabs my face, and one touch simply wasn't enough. My mind already starts its feature film Kiss the werewolf.

He brings his lips to mine, and I kiss him passionately. The taste of his mouth overwhelmed me, and I wanted more and more of his touch. One kiss will never be enough.

"See, you have feelings for me," he tells me as our lips pull apart.

"Maybe I do, but it doesn't equal what I feel for Finn."

"I think you're lying to yourself."

After many kisses with the werewolf, my feet walk to the house where I know I have to tell him the truth, and he will be devastated. I thought this whole werewolf scene was over, and my heart was completely over and done with him.

I hear them laughing sitting at the table.

Finn looks incredibly surprised when he sees me. I know he can tell something was wrong, because I bet I was white as a ghost. I feel so ashamed of myself. I have gotten so close to him. We have sex every night, we're technically dating, and I'm kissing another guy, not to mention his worst enemy.

"Finn, we need to talk."

"Okay." He stands up on his chair.

"I know you can already smell the werewolf on her, anything she can say in front of you, she can stay in front of us," Dominic snaps.

"That's not entirely Fair Dominic," Finn says, his eyes getting black.

"No spill it Rosabella," Dominic says. My eyes watch in shock as he grabs Finn by the neck. It was such a quick motion, I'm not even sure if Finn saw it coming. I want to cry as I hear Finn whimpers in pain.

"And I would tell the truth," Dominic adds.

"I…. shared … a kiss … with Arjun." I couldn't help but stutter to say I was scared was an understatement.

"See Rosie, that's not going to work," Dominic tells me.

"It didn't mean anything."

"It means everything, because he was supposed to convince you to willingly join the clan, but he just couldn't do it, so yes, it means everything."

"Your hurting him, Finn."

Cassandra and Blair sob uncontrollably. My eyes watch in pure torture as Dominic pulls and tugs on Finn's neck. Twisting his head back and forth like he was trying to rip a cap off a bottle, I hear what sounds like glass breaking, or somebody took a spoon and kept tapping it on a drinking cup made of glass. Then I see many black spots form all over Finn's face, until his whole body shatters like a puzzle.

"See Rosabella, your father was a shifter, and when you become an unnatural creature, you're going to have an extra special power that I had to have for my clan, your parents never haunted me, I hunted them down. I did heal her, but I told them I was giving you a life of luxury, a life of money, a life of fortune, a life that they couldn't pass up for their daughter. They're trying to help you, not hurt you. I never even told Finn any of this because I know he would never be on my side."

I swallowed the pain that was forming in my throat. "Just bring Finn back."

"My dear, he's gone, you see all the broken pieces he's never coming back."

I swallow down all the tears as much as I can. "That I will use my father's power to destroy you."

I ran all the way to Arjun. I didn't know what else to do or who to turn to. Finn protected me against everything my whole entire life, and I was the reason why he was nothing but ripped up pieces like a jigsaw puzzle. I will join the Wolfpack, and I will use every one of my powers to terminate Dominic and get revenge for Finn, who was once my vampire bodyguard.
