The Swordman Loves Not Onion
Review as of chapter 264: Writing quality(3): The translation isn't as bad as the top reviewers say, better than the mtl version, which can be found elsewhere. Story Development(5): Story is actually really good. Starts slow for the beginning apothecary arc, but once he joins his sect, things kick off nicely. There aren't many cliche parts of the story, and the pacing is decent. Character Design(5): This is where the story really shines. It's not like most cultivation novels where there are young masters around every corner and low iq villains everywhere. The mc is cunning, and a becomes a master of poison. He uses all his abilities to the max in every fight. His later master and grandmaster are just as cunning as the mc, and you can't help but to like them because of their intellect in dangerous situations. Updates(5): self explanatory World Background(4): The cultivation realms and each sub tier have a lot more weight behind them. The combat and abilities are a mix of low tier cultivation and powerful martial arts. Small spoiler: the main fighting power in the latter part of the story is based around what is essentially conquerors haki, from One Piece. Overall, would recommend. [img=recommend]
I had the pleasure of reading My Two-sided Cultivation: Starting From Collecting Experiences and I have to say, it exceeded all of my expectations. The translation quality is impeccable, making it easy to understand and follow the story. The updates will not be mentioned for now. The story development is fantastic, with a such concept of collecting experience orbs to cultivate. The characters are well-crafted and have their own distinct personalities and motives, which made them relatable and easy to connect with. The world background is rich and detailed, giving me a sense of being in a real fantasy world. The protagonist, Qin Huai, is an ordinary person who starts off with no background or cultivation qualifications. But through his journey, he discovers his unique ability to cultivate different techniques and skills from different sources. He faces many challenges and obstacles along the way, but his determination and hard work pay off in the end. Overall, My Two-sided Cultivation: Starting From Collecting Experiences is an excellent web novel that will keep you hooked from the first chapter to the last. The exceptional concept of collecting experience orbs to cultivate, and a well-developed characters, and the rich world background make this a must-read for any fantasy fan. I highly recommend it!
as of chapter 368 the story is better than most. it is readable. MC isnt very dumb. side characters dont feel like carboard. although there isnt a main story yet to be revealed, the scenarios doesnt seem to repeat or be boring. the MC's powers are almost similar to Complete Martial Arts Attributes. he picks up round stuff that becomes techniques/cultivation. he was married somewhere in these chapters but he left to buy milk and continue his adventures
I really enjoyed this book. The way the characters of the story go together. It's a different way looking at the story. I was able to see a new perspective from how the Author would be apart of the story. It is very exciting to see how the Butterfly Effect takes place. Especially when it is the author changing the very nature of a story he himself wrote. I hope to be able to read and experience more from this series.
well it's not bad, except it needs a lot of tlc in the editing department. mc is neither standoffish or overbearing. he just quietly does his own thing and kicks butt while doing so. if the editing was better I'd give this higher marks cuz I like mc's like this. anyway, I'll keep reading when it's fully released.
