CHAPTER ONE
"wake up Clara....we are late already" Claire said trying to wake Clara
"Leave me alone please" Clara reply yawing
Mrs Rona came in
"Mummy..." Claire called
"You can go.... Clara will stay at home today" Mrs Rona said
"Why mum?"
"Do you want to disturb her sleep?" Mrs Rona asked angrily
"No mummy" Claire reply
"Then get out...you disgust me" Mrs Rona said ( roll her eyes)
Claire quickly went out
Her mother never takes her to school....she always trek to school....
"stupid me" Claire muttered sadly
"Ma'am someone is looking for you" one of their maid said
"Me?" Claire asked
"Yes....a girl"
"Oh.... lilly,she promise to take me to school today" Claire said rushing out
"Safe journey ma'am"
"Thank you joy"
"Clara is not going to school today?" Maid joy thought
"you look so beautiful Claire" lily said
"To you right?" Claire reply
"You know am serious" lilly said dragging her to the car
"Slow down silly lilly" she tease her
"We are late already Claire"

SCHOOL HALLWAY
Clara friends blocked Claire and Lily way
"Nerd girl" Sharon said to Claire mockly
"You are the nerd girl here" lily snapped
"Oh mine gawd,she is talking back at you Sharon" sugar said
Sharon immediately drag lily hair
"Ahhh" lily cried
"I'm sorry Sharon" Claire said in a pleading tone
"stop apologizing to them" lily said
"Please Sharon" Claire said
Sharon release lily
"Nerds" sugar said laughing
"Let's go baby" Sharon said
They both left
"Even when Clara is not around,they still bully you" lily said
"It's okay baby,I'm used to it" Claire reply
RONA'S MANSION
Clara finally woke up,her mum had already left for work....after bathing she went downstairs to eat breakfast but when she got to the table,she saw only two slice bread and bama.
"Joy...." She shouted
Joy immediately rush there
"Good morning small madam" she greeted nervously
"And what is good about this morning huh?" Clara said angrily
"Sorry ma" joy reply shaking in fear
"So you have the guts to offer me two slice bread huh?" Clara said
"I'm sorry ma....I forgot...I thought you were Claire"
Hearing Claire name,Clara slapped maid joy very hard
"How dare you mention her name huh?"
"I'm sorry ma" joy cried
Maid faith went there....she was already shaking in fear
"And you...why did you offer me two slice bread?" She asked
"This food belongs....to Claire" faith stuttered
"oh wow...I see" Clara said slowly
She pulled faith closer to her
"So you guys didn't prepare my breakfast huh?" She asked angrily
"It's because we don't know what you will like to eat this morning" joy manage to answer
"I want to eat fried rice and plantain" she said and went upstairs
"Are you okay?" Faith ask joy
"I'm fine" she muttered

SCHOOL CAFETERIA
"Today is so lovely" Claire said smiling
"It's because your sister is not around" Steven said
"Are you mocking me?" Claire Said
"I'm sorry sweetie" he said patting her
"Not here please" lily said and they both started laughing
"Why are you guys laughing,it's not funny" lily pouted
"Erik is missing you silly lily" Claire tease her
"I know and I'm also missing him" she mumble
"He is yours" Steven said
"Sure..." Lily smiled
After some hours.... school was dismissed....Steven drop Claire off.
When she got home she was surprised to see all their maid kneeling down,some were crying....Clara was busy watching tv
"Clara what is the meaning of this?" Claire asked in a low voice
"Ohhh....you are choosing these low lives over me?" Clara said
"I just ask you a question Clara....I didn't choose them over you" Claire reply
"If you wanna know what happened then wait till mum comes back" Clara said rolling her eyes
Claire couldn't save the maids...she just went to her room.
After some hours Mrs Rona came back, immediately Clara heard the sound of her mother's car...she told all the maids to stand up.
When Mrs Rona came in,Clara started crying
"why are you crying sweetie" Mrs Rona said petting her
"It's Claire" Clara reply
"Claire again?" Mrs Rona said
"Yes mummy....since morning I haven't eaten anything" Clara lied
"Why? What happened?" Mrs Rona asked
"Claire instructed the maids not to make breakfast for me" she lied
"What!!!!" Claire!!!" Mrs Rona shouted
Claire immediately rushed downstairs
"Good evening mu....." She couldn't complete her statement before Mrs rona gave her two dirty slap on her face
"How dare you starve my daughter?" She yelled angrily
"I don't know what you are talking about....I didn't starve her" Claire said crying
"Mum...she is lying" Clara snapped
"Clara....." Claire called but Clara cut her off
"Don't you dare mention my name you witch" Clara said rolling her eyes
"Mummy....I didn't starve Clara....ask the maids" Claire said
Mrs Rona called all the maids
"Why didn't you guys make breakfast and lunch for my daughter" Mrs Rona yelled angrily
"Claire instructed us not to make breakfast for Clara" one of the maid said
"Joy is that truth?" Mrs Rona asked
"Yes ma'am" maid joy replied
"Joy why are you lying?" Claire asked crying more
"Ma'am joy is saying the truth" maid faith added
"Mummy.... believe me,I don't know what they are talking about" Claire cried
"No more food for you in this house....you can go to your dad's family house to eat...." Mrs Rona said
"But mummy"
"I'm not your mother.... don't you dare call me that again " Mrs Rona said
Claire was mute...the maids were shaking
"Come on sweetheart..." Mrs Rona said holding Clara....they went to her room
Claire face the maids...she didn't say anything....she just went to her room
"I feel bad for lying " joy muttered
"Me too" faith said
"It's okay....God will protect her" one of the maid said
CLAIRE'S ROOM
Unknown message pop on her phone screen
"Who is this?" She thought
She wasn't in the mood to chat...she off her phone...took a quick shower before going to bed with teary eyes
NEXT DAY
Claire trekked to school....she was late so she received punishment.
She was busy washing the school toilets when Clara and her friends came
"Nerd cleaner" Clara said laughing
"Looks like she wants to die" Sharon said
"Did she eat before coming to school?" Sugar asked mockly
"who will want to give this thing food?" Clara said rolling her eyes
Before they knew what was happening, Claire has already fainted
"Oh mine..she fainted" sugar said laughing
"Let's go" Clara said and they left
Immediately they left....a boy came,he carried Claire in a bridal style and took her to the school clinic
CLASSROOM
"Claire Rona" the teacher called
"Not in class" the students reply
"Clara where is your sister?" He asked
"I don't know" Clara reply rudely
"Spoilt brat" the teacher said
Clara hissed
"With your ugly face " she said and the students started laughing
The teacher just ignore them and continue calling the register

During break... lilly and Steven couldn't find Claire
"I thought she was washing the toilet" lily muttered sadly
"Yeah.... maybe she went home" Steven said
"I don't think so" lilly said
"Or maybe something happened to her....she was so weak this morning" Steven said
"Maybe she fainted?" Lily said
"You're right.... school clinic" they both went to the school clinic
