My Swarm Academia: Call of the Void

Well, who expected this crossover? Kaisei Oguchi is a teenager with a troubled past and a powerful Quirk- he can summon the ever adapting Swarm of the Starcraft universe to do his will. Trying to make the best use of it, and with a plan that he has shared with nobody, not even his most trusted sister, he enters UA with the intent to become the greatest hero, like no one ever was. Oh. And a side of revenge. Revenge is nice, too. Expect him to be a little dark. In control of one of the greatest weapons of a cosmos, who wouldn't be? Who is safe from his wrath? Not even All Might will escape unscathed. If I upload slowly, I'm sorry. I'm just a beginning writer with too many ideas and not enough experience writing. This and Marvelwatch are attempts to fix that problem . There is the possibility of me purposely withholding uploads to torture people under the Alcatraz Imperative. (I'm a big Sanderson fan.) But don't expect that too much. And, I guess, the required legal disclaimer of "I don't own anything from the works I cite. I am not trying to claim them as my own creation, and am very much prepared to use any means necessary to defend myself. Including, but not limited to, the Chewbacca Defense." However, I bet it's also obvious what I am and am not doing, so it would take some level of insanity to try to sue me over fanfiction. At least target the Rule 34 fiction writers first.

Meanwhile, Kai was back on the phone with Nezu. He had been a bit rude and felt bad about it.

Or at least, that is what he would claim.

"Sorry, Principal, that was just Tommy. I think he got my message."

"And you gave him-"

"Noumu, as I told him. Kind of. Part of him. But, I was able to keep my word to both of you- I gave him Noumu, and Noumu wasn't released to rejoin the League. And for myself, I got to show them that we are not to be trifled with, and hopefully secured some safety for the kids while confirming some of my guesses, oh- and got information about Noumu-class beings. I'm not even sure how many wins that was, but I do believe none of them went to this League."

Kai grinned even though Nezu couldn't see it.

"You think you're really clever, don't you?" Ayako spoke up for the first time in a while.

Kai almost jumped. He'd been walking back and forth through the apartment the whole time he'd been on the phone, and lost track of his surroundings in his autopilot.

"This wasn't me being clever, just being effective," he replied.

"Whatever."

"Anyways, Principal, I'm sure you want to know the results of the… *ahem* testing." Kai turned his attention back to the phone at his ear.

"Yes…" Nezu said hesitantly. "As well as anything you learned in your conversation with the League."

"Well, they didn't want to say much, so I pretended to know things and their reactions confirmed it. There is a powerful backer who now doesn't like me, and he also knows about the Clan, so we really should interrogate him ASAP."

"He knows-"

"About them, but likely doesn't have the connections to find them. Pity, really. The doctor who made Noumu is likely not him- he didn't have the tone of a doctor. Although, he probably isn't a doctor as much as just a mad scientist," Kai mused.

"What makes you say that? What did you find out about Noumu?"

"First, how bad did you think Noumu was?"

"As a concept or a being?" Nezu asked.

"Concept."

"It was a pitiful creature."

"Okay. Now multiply that by about 6. According to Minerva, this Noumu was built with the DNA of about six people, with one providing most of the boring somatic DNA. Her main theory is that some victim was used as a base, and had extra experiments performed onto them until they were able to withstand the extra Quirks that were planted on them. How, I don't know for sure, but the simplest answer would be a Quirk like the old man's. Minerva's the best at gene manipulation, but she can't just give out Quirks like they are candy."

"Are you sure about this?" Nezu asked after a long pause.

"80%-ish. So, I'm guessing you know this Quirk donor?"

"What makes you think that?"

"You paused in a 'oh no, he's back' way, and asked if I was sure in a 'please tell me you have a strong chance of being wrong' way. Oh, and the 'what makes you think that' in a 'dammit' way. You really need to work on your poker-face attitude."

There was a long moment of silence.

"Of course, you don't have to tell me anything. It's just speculation, after all. However, so is the fact that there might be more than one Noumu. This one was specifically supposed to be an All Might killer, but who knows what else might have been made, or is in the process of being made.

"In that case, it seems like these things are a bit… unstable. They're like Frankenstein's monster held together by a Quirk or two acting as duct tape. Let me know if any more Noumus get captured. With more data, maybe we can figure out how to… dissolve the duct tape."

Of course, Minerva was not going to like that. Though she lacked the vocabulary and poetry, it seemed that looking at Noumu's essence had given her a migraine. Human essence was already primitive and messy to her. Noumu's essence had taken that primitiveness and burned it into obscurity for temporary gain in strength.

If creatures like this could multiply, or recreated by Minerva, it would be an affront to nature, as they had been placed at an evolutionary dead end. It was an abomination with a shortened life span. When they had discovered this, both Minerva and Arachne had agreed that this must be stopped, and all existing creatures exterminated.

Not for justice, or to avenge the poor souls who had been used to create Noumu, but to cease the blasphemous creation of "dead" essence and establish the superiority of the Zerg way.

Unfortunately, there were no more enemies to be found at the moment, and more importantly, no test subjects to try to work any theories. All that could be done was to wait, and hope that either one would come to Kai, or Nezu would be kind enough to offer any he caught.

"You plan on massacring them?"

"You weren't? There is no undoing Noumu back into people. Leave the dead alone so you can save those that these things would attack. So, do we have a deal?"

I got a job. And I've just not been writing much.

Thanks for sticking with this so long, if you are reading up to this chapter.

No, I'm not giving up on this. So much I want to do with this story. The deaths, the trauma, the fights, it could be good fun practice.
