Chapter 58: Sure, She Can Stay But...

Five minutes is all it needs to calm everything to normal back. I took a sit in front of Remelia so that she knows we have something to talk about. Bobo stands besides her Queen, ready to obey. And the queen makes herself busy by trying to whistle. Huh.

"Remelia."

"Fuu~"

"Hey."

"Fuuuuu... Haa, still can't get it right," Her eyes run around and stop when it catches me, "Wh--What? Is this about my whistle? There's been some improvement alright, sooner or later I can whistle for a dragon to come by and pick me up. Anyway, you have better things to do outside, right? You have my permission to go now."

"I'm not going to leave until we discuss what's going on here."

She squints her eyes, "What is it to discuss?"

"Don't try to avoid this." Knowing Remelia, she'd prefer not to talk about this matter. Knowing whatever it was she'd planned, I'd put a fence around it.

She shakes her head vigorously, "I'm not. I was just feeling really sleepy and motivated to practice my whistling. I don't avoid anything, I'll break them apart! Now I am in the mood of floating around in silence." She starts to float.

"Sit down, Remelia. We have to talk."

"Brrr~" Just like the sound she makes of a deflating balloon, she falls down on the couch. She talks first, "Okay, I know this is quite too sudden for your test." She thumbs over Bobo, "I was thinking of telling you beforehand that she's coming but I had thought that you would have the same opinion of her as me. Like always--"

Since when?

"--So I just let her in. I'm your Queen, sometimes I have to make decisions for you all. Anyway, what do you think of her?"

"She tried to kill me."

The queen rolls her red eyes and waves her hand in denial, "Oh, that was just her playing around. Succubus is known for their playfulness, you know that. Isn't that right, Bobo?"

Bobo nods professionally in full seriousness.

"See?"

I sigh. That encourages Remelia to say more about her maid, "Just take a look at the scene in front of you. How I sit and how she stands beside me, are just perfect! Very fitting. Furthermore, at the end of the day, Bobo is still a succubus, useful for you in many forms you can imagine. Succubus is very awesome at delivering services. You will be in love with her in no time."

Remelia gives me a thumbs up. Did she learn that from watching Nelia?

And please stop mixing Succubus, services, and me in it.

Remelia throws a look at her side. "You can give your finest service to him right, Bobo?"

Bobo nods professionally with a hint of blush. "I--If my queen says so."

"See? Won't this get you excited?"

Don't say it like that! I'm not going to take advantage of this situation. And clearly, you've misunderstood your own queen, Bobo. She has to be talking about a different 'service' here. I don't even doubt it.

Remelia laughs "Let the Human taste your cooking--" (See?) "--shows him how we eat in our castle. He can't deny it. Hell, I still can taste the Red Chicken you served us back on my ninety-eighth birthday. And the Hydra's blood in my favourite glass? My father even reminisces about how perfect that day was. We all had a good time. I wish I could relive that moment hahaha... ha..." There's a silence, out of loneliness, for a while before Remelia breaks it off and gives me a huge smirk, "Now you can't deny her. She has a lot to offer."

She doesn't have to convince me to keep her maid as if she's asking her parents to keep a stray cat she found. "Why are you telling me all of this?" I ask, "If I say I don't want her here, would you let that slide?"

Remelia puts a finger on her lips and checks on Bobo. "Now that I remembered her dinner, no."

"Then there's no point talking about that."

Remelia raises her eyebrow. "I'm confused. So what do you want to talk about?"

"How many more of them?"
