Chapter One

JENNIFER POV

Ring.... Ring.... Ring.....

I groaned turned around to turn to reach my phone on the night stand

Who's calling at this time

I answer the call putting the phone near my ear

" JENNIFER WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU!"

I groaned moved the phone away from my ear

" Why are you shouting i'm not deaf" I said in irritated

" where. Are. You " She asked and continue

" Aren't you coming or you quite the job and got a better one "

" Today is holiday " I said to her

"What! are you crazy do you even know what day is today "

I got confused and looked at the  calendar hanging on the wall it says today is sh*t

" I'll be there soon " I said and hanged up

I hurriedly went off the bed and run to the bathroom

What was I thinking I got the wrong date my boss will probably fire me

I brushed my teeth and get a quick shower before heading out of bathroom I combed my hair and wear my clothes

I grabbed my phone and purse and headed out of bedroom

When I went down stairs I saw my beloved parents sitting outside the balcony

I scoffed shaking my head

I headed out of the house without greeting them good morning

Our relationship isn't the same anymore well it wasn't good from the start but it gotten worse

When my 'mom' forbidden me to go collage I don't understand i was a good kid

Doing good in school I wasn't a trouble maker and I was trying to get in their good side

But whether I do good or not i'm still a bad kid in their eyes

And when I got the scholarship they had to be happy  right

At least they weren't going to pay for anything but instead they made me give up my dreams

And work in some shity restaurant

They took All the money I made from work in the restaurant so I work part time job in a coffee which they don't know

If they knew they'll take all the money I work hard for

I sometimes wonder if they're not my real parents there's no parents who treats their own children that way

Or so I thought. I took a DNA and see if they're not my real parents .

without them knowing of course

'Sigh' but it turned out that i'm their biological daughter

I shake my head trying to get these thoughts out of my head

I waved my hand  to stop a cab

And I got inside it as soon as it stopped

" To grill restaurant please "

I usually take the bus cause i pay less but today I'm so late so I don't have any other option but go take a cab

I saw my friend ella I soon as I get out of the cab

" You're lucky today the boss isn't here" Said my friend in relief

" I'm sorry I was thinking today is holiday I got the wrong date " I said opening the restaurant door

She put her hand on my shoulder

Looking at me " You should be careful jen you know our boss he won't hesitate to fire you "

I smile with a nod

"Jennifer go and and take that table's order " One of my Co-waiter said

I looked again him and said "why don't you do it "

"Please just go and take it i'm not good with these kind of people" He said pushing me

"Huh" I looked at the table he's referring to

"Just go" he said pushing me little hard

I glared at him and turned to walk toward the table

"Good morning What would you like to order "

The woman looked at me and scoffed

" Morning? it's almost 12pm "

I just ignored her and asked again

"What would you like to order ma'am" I asked again

The man besides her was silent the whole time looking at the menu

" I want plate of salmon salad with orange juice " I write it down on my small notebook

No wonder why she's soo skinny she don't eat anything I guess . salad and juice who eats that in the early morning tsk

I looked at the man besides her

"What about you sir "

" I want black coffee with no suger "

He said in cold tone

WHAT ! Does he thinks this is a coffee shop what a weird people

I approach the counter and give the orders to Smith

"Here you go" I said hanging him the orders

He looked at the orders and frowned

"black coffee with no sugar " He looked at me

" In case you forgot this is a restaurant not a coffee shop "

I shrugged "that's what they ordered

Just make him a coffee look at how expensive he looks I bet you don't want to deal with such a person "

" Plus the boss always says the customer is always right " Added Ella

He sigh and walked towards the kitchen

That's how my days goes working

My shift ended at 5pm

I finished weeping the tables and went behind the counter taking off my apron 

And headed out to go to my next work place

At Home

I arrived at home at 9pm feeling exhausted I opened the door walking inside

Silent welcomed me

I looked around where did they go

I thought to myself

I walked into the kitchen and find no one basically the home is empty

I shrugged why would I bother anyways

I walked into my bedroom throw myself on my bed

It was a long day I grabbed my phone going through social media

And saw pictures of celebrities and their fans gossiping about their life so boring I sometimes envy those people who has this easy life but it's my destiny to live this way

I scrolled down the news and something caught my attention

It's the lady and man who were at the restaurant

Breaking News

Liam Eric and Kathleen mark were caught dating in a local restaurant

And blahhh blahhh blahhh

Where's the problem if they date i see they suits each other so well

I  scrolled down a bit more and answer some messages from some friends

Then I put the phone on the night stand yawing

I covered myself with my blanket and drift to sleep
