Chapter 30 - Evil intensions

Having finally rationalize his thoughts, Dominic had decided to give Kang Lei a personal tour of his home, under the pretext that he was showing Kang Lei his new work environment. But this was More to benefit Dominic by way of getting Kang Lei to spend more time with him.

They had just finished viewing the kitchen area, which was far beyond Kang Lei's imagination and by the time they had viewed the other essential rooms, It was already past four in the afternoon. Kang Lei was becoming restless; he was worried he would be late to pick up BoJing. He mentally calculated that if he left now, it would take it him over an hour to reached BoJing's school.

Dominic noticed Kang Lei's absent-mindedness and asked with a little suspicion, "Do you have somewhere to be?"

Kang Lei hesitated and softly replied, "Oh.... no... am... it's nothing" he smiled awkwardly. Again, he didn't want to make Dominic to view him as a nuisance.

Dominic checked the time and realization dawned on him Kang Lei's son, he must be finishing school by now. Dominic was about to dismiss the meeting when he thought of a better way to spend more time with Kang Lei.

At present, he was showing Kang Lei around his home and introducing him to the other employees.

His gentle attitude towards Kang Lei shocked everyone, Dominic wasn't cruel, but he was well known to be short with his words and more recently, since he had returned his coldness had increased drastically, at times scaring the life out of the maids.

After they had left the kitchen area, the maids all breathed a sigh of relief, then huddled around to gossip about what they had just witnessed. The more dominant of the group quickly leaned in and whispered, speaking with curiosity, "I don't recall master ever personally giving us a tour of the mansion? What's so special about him?".

"The difference is you're ugly!" a voice shouted from across the kitchen, causing a few people to bust out in laughing.

"Yah… Kai! Don't you think that's a little too mean to say!?" the maid refuted back angrily.

Kai shrugged her shoulders, not caring that her words were hurtful.

Another quickly added, "but he is handsome though isn't he, did you see his baby blue eyes, I bet master fell for them" she said acting cute with her hands to her chin and smiling sweetly.

"Oh, come on, get real, master is a high elite alpha, he wouldn't fall for someone like that. I've seen omegas far more beautiful than him", another scornfully added, she was annoyed, no way would her prestigious boss wall fall for the likes of someone like Kang Lei.

Away from the gaze of the others, she quickly sneaked out from among the group, finding a quiet room she quickly pulled out her phone and made a call.

After ringing for a few seconds, a voice answered and in a low voice the maid spoke "hello, it's me, I have some news about master…. He's hired a new servant, it's an omega"

A familiar female voice replied in an annoyed and aggressive manner, "why, the hell would I care about a mere servant, I pay you to tell me if Dominic brings anyone home, a servant is insignificant, don't call me ag...".

"No Madam listen, it is significant, Master was especially kind and gentle with the omega" she said excitedly, hoping this will gain the female's attention.

There was a slight pause, possibly shock at what she had just heard, 'what Dominic was kind and gentle'. Everyone knows Dominic wasn't known for his kindness and neither was he gentle, no matter what you did Dominic was always indifferent and cold. The female on the phone became livid, who was this servant and what did this omega do to gain Dominic's favour, angrily she asked, "what's this omega name".

The maid smiled widely, yes! She had successfully angered her, 'looks like I am going to be able to afford that new bag after all…., no with all the information am about to give her, she might give me enough money to get a new house' she thought to herself smiling wickedly.

"Master introduced him as Kang Lei, he's apparently a senior student at Mozing Culinary imperial university and his coming here to complete his internship. Actually, he was given the position by master's brother, have you heard of the incident that happened at the interviews? We were all surprised when Master Andrew turned up at the interviews and hired him on the spot, after asking some weird questions", she chattered away excitedly.

"What! Why are you only telling this now!" the female voice shouted, clearly infuriated at the information. If Andrew made the decision, there's no way anyone could convince Dominic to get rid of the little whore.

The maid continued, "yes! Master Andrew even hugged him and told off one of the panellists that was rude to him. There's something else that happened to Master Dominic" the maid paused and looked around the room worryingly, though she was alone. She then continued and whispered further, hoping no one would hear her.

"We've all been sworn to secrecy by Master Michael. But yesterday, Master Dominic released an unusual amount of his pheromones and ended up hurting everyone in the mansion. After that, Master was unconscious, and Master Michael called Doctor Cheng. When doctor Cheng left, I heard Master Michael telling Master Dominic he needed to get his pheromones under control, and that he needed to release. Am not quite sure what they meant, but I heard Master Michael mentioned something about Master Dominic's testosterone" she spoked quickly in case she were to got caught.

The female on the phone froze, and then an idea occurred to her, this was good, it's better than she had hoped now her plan will be easier, smirking she said in a cold tone, "don't worry about that, I'll send the money to your account, and next time don't take so long to update me" and with that she terminated the call.

The maid was ecstatic, not a hint of guilt could be seen on her face. For her all these rich assholes were nothing more than a piggy bank, and if she could make money from their scheming ways why not, no way was she going to make this much money just being a mere servant.
