I still like him?

As soon as the bell rang, ignoring everyone's weird gazes, including Molly's, Cereus got up and ran as fast as she could to the door to dash out and disappear from there as soon as possible.

While standing two steps before the class door, Cer did a double take and turned back to look at Matthew, ardently hoping that she was mistaken. That he also likes her. That he wanted to be her boyfriend too. But no, Matthew's brown eyes still had the same disappointing look on his face. It is a struggle to confront a person that you don't like. To reject a girl. The same look.

Cereus couldn't take it anymore. Tears started forming in her eyes as she made her way out of the classroom. She ran through the corridor hoping nobody saw her, as she went to the same place where she confessed yesterday. To the top floor of her block in University, near the terrace. Cereus went there and she sat down crying.

"It was just a one-month crush on some boy. It should not be this bad. Why am I even crying?? It's just one month!! Like, seriously, not even a long amount of time! So why? Why am I this sad??? Is this because Matthew resembles Collin? Is that what this is about? Oh god. I'm doomed. " thinks Cereus.

Collin was Cer's tutor in high school. During the first few months of high school, when Cereus complained to her parents that she could not keep up with high school math, her parents arranged a tutor for her, who was an university student. His name was Collin. As Cer improved in math, Collin started liking Cereus and pursued her for a few months, and later, they started dating.

But Collin was very mysterious. Collin being her tutor knew about her family. But on the other hand, he evaded all kinds of questions regarding his family. They both liked each other a lot. Like, they were crazy about each other. But the only problem was that Collin didn't open up about himself. Except for the fact that he is a first-year University student, Cereus knew nothing about him. He never revealed anything.

But even then, it was not much of a problem for Cereus, who was experiencing her first love. She liked him enough to not ask questions and enjoy the moment. Except when it bit her ass back.

Collin disappeared one day without any trace. Cereus was devastated. She called him continuously for days. She searched for his roommates. She even sat in front of his university for days waiting for him. But no, nothing, nada.

And after he left, Cereus realised that they didn't even have one picture that they had taken together. And it broke her.

Cereus got sick, she was hospitalized for a week. After which, slowly with Molly's help, she started regaining her health, both physical and mental.

Getting over Collin was one of the hardest things that Cer had to go through. Even after she did get better, Cer would start eating as a mechanism to cope with her feelings. Every time she thought of Collin, she would overeat. That's the major reason why she became overweight and is now trying to reduce it.

"I don't want to go through this again. I'm over Collin. And Matthew is no big deal. I'll be okay. I am fine" As she says that to herself and gives a people talk, Cer starts feeling drowsy. As she didn't get a wink of sleep last night, awaiting Matthew's confession reply.
