Chapter 5 Evil advice

* Five Years Later*

10:15 a.m.

It has been five years ever since Luna Lydia died and I've become a very lonely Alpha. I pass all my time training my pack ensuring that no lazy member could be spotted amongst us. We have had the opportunity that over these years we had not been attacked by other packs from Creekhill High.

In case we were, I can rest assure my members that as their Alpha, I would fight and ensure their safety was maintained.

There was no way a pack was now going to defeat us because I was ready to prove that these five years If hardwork had not been in vain.

Besides the fact that my mind no longer drifted to Lydia each time I slept or think, I still had that thought that my life would have been better if she was here with me, to see our son grow, walk and talk.

Scar was now a toddler who was handsome and fine-looking. The mark that was left on his face by his mother was now a scar, a very big printing scar on his face.

It was visible, the first thing you see when you gaze at him was the imperfection that was artistically carved by Lydia.

It was now like a rough circle with a flash of thunder symbol on his right face.

Since the day Lydia died, it has not been easy with the baby but as the Alpha, I had a Governess for my son. Julia, an omega was responsible for everything that concerns my baby.

Julia was very happy when I had recruited her to take care of my son. After hearing what had happened, she pretended like it didn't bother her and created an unfailing bond between her and the baby.

The baby was always healthy, could speak though not many words, and was well couth. He was an epitome of a well breed wolf, and his looks were so charming.

As a baby, whoever set eyes on him was first captivated by his beautiful hair color, therefore giving them the urge to shove their hands in his head.

He was always good-humored as the slightest things made him giggle crazily.

As my heir, I loved him so much despite the fact that the future was bleak and I could not tell what was going to happen, no one could tell because the prophecy was incomplete, no one ever had the chance to know what had actually been said since we weren't there when it was said.

My mind was deep in thoughts that I had to jump in fright when I felt some tiny pokes on my trousers.

Looking downward, it was Logan Scar White as he was later named. I reached for the baby carrying him high as he dangled playfully with this legs and arms.

"Papa," he chuckled as I nuzzled his face with my face.

"Hey, buddy, you gave me a fright. What are you doing here all alone, where is Julia?" I questioned.

He did not respond, rather he stretched his hands towards my face trying to hold it with his baby hands.

It tickled me as I flashed my strong teeth to him, assuring him that all was fine.

Today, I noticed that his hair was now another centimeter long from the previous time I had seen it, he looked happy as usual.

Just like me, Logan has baby blue eyes which were always laughing. I guess his life was filled with laughter as he knew no pain at this stage of his life.

His scarred face as usual was deep, the prominent point of focus to anyone who dared see him, he always had this air of comfort In regard to those who saw him, maybe he was naive of the fact that he had an Everlasting flaw on him or he was just being comfortable with what can never be removed.

I was still carrying my baby in my arms when the doors opened and Beta Daniel walked into the room.

The room was just an extra hall I used for study, and where I had lone time to reflect on issues that concerned the pack.

"Good morning, Alpha" he greeted.

Before I could respond, I heard a knock on the door and Julia burst in Searchingly.

She searched the room and when her eyes locked with the baby's she shouted,

"Goodness God, I thought... (she sulked her breath before continuing) you were missing," she concluded.

Walking towards me, she curtseyed noticing the Beta's presence in the room.

"Sorry for my rashness, Good day, Beta Daniel," she exclaimed before taking the baby from me.

Immediately Logan was comfortable in her arms she hurried out of the room whispering to herself. I could only catch some words like,

"Gracious baby, please never you trick me in such a manner like you just did, I had been looking for you everywhere. Why didn't you tell me you wanted to see your papa?" Julia questioned shaking her head.

As she touched the knob of the door I called her saying,

"Ehmm, Julia, please be careful with Logan, I don't want anything to happen to him," I explained my voice hoarse as I maintained a serious note.

"Yes, Alpha Frederick," she replied, curtysed then left.

Putting my head up, I gazed at Daniel who had become bore of our little exchange.

"Finally they are done talking about the cursed baby," he said dryly.

His last sentence pulled me out of the hook as I hated the fact that he had used that word to describe my son.

"You stop that right now," I threatened.

Beta Daniel had always been on opposing terms with as he thought himself to be better than me and if that he was the one controlling the pack, he will do it much better than I did.

"If not what? Frederick, can't you see the truth that is boldly scripted on that baby's face? or do you want the prophecy to accomplish before you believe me?" he added.

I racked my kind thinking about what other prophecy apart from the birth of the Golden Wolf and Shifter, and it is linked to the curse.

"Pardon?" I asked.

"I often heard that Golden wolves had the ability to always want domination and I tell you unless you start training this boy now, he might kill you to become the alpha,"

With this, I was already fed up with his words, I regretted hearing it in the first place as he spoke evil of my son.

It was with suppressed anger that I said between gritted teeth.

"If you do not leave my presence now, I will deal with you so much that you wouldn't have a place to hide after I am done with you," I let out holding my chair digging my nails into it.

"Sure I will, but know that it is better than leaving in this cursed pack some of us are even managing. But remember, a Golden wolf remains a golden wolf, till it has what it wants, it will never settle for less," Daniel concluded slamming the door hard.

I fell on the chair immediately, thinking about what he had just said.

Maybe he was right after all, what if my son one day tries to kill me for the Alpha position?

'Then I will only have to kill him before he tries it,' I thought silently.
