"One latte on go please."

"Coming right up!" The girl working here sure is pretty. Her ponytail was waving left to right as she talks. It was one of her habits. It wasn't a bad habit. You could say it makes her cute in a way.

"Here you go." I grabbed the disposable coffee cup and went out. This coffee shop is opened a month ago. I became a regular customer as this cafe is close to the prison. If I would be a little early, I could seat here and enjoy my drink. However, today I was exceptionally late. For that reason, something like getting scold by Mr.Lukas is deemed to happen. I let out the possibility of getting away without being spotted by Mr.Lukas and stepped forward. The parking lot of the prison was packed up with cars and bikes. The one spot that should be filled with a car was empty for some reason. Nevertheless, I went in hurriedly. I don't have time to pay attention to such things. If I wander around more it only cost me more pain. The unforgivable Mr.Lukas would kill me for sure this time. Everyone was busy as usual. The guards had scornful expressions as usual. I wondered do they ever smile? Every time I look at their face, they had some kind of dark shadow fallen on. Was some kind of curse in this prison? The scariest ones are the guards of 4th wands. They have deadly glares. I sometimes freak out Because of that. However, the prisoners didn't budge a little. They might be used to it. I somehow felt like it was kinda formalities to work here. Like a rule

"YOU CAN NEVER SMILE." something like that.

Ahh! This is getting hard. I went inside the temporary room given to Mr.Lukas. well, I can't say a room. It was more likely a place to interact with the prisoners. This cabinet was right beside the torture room. Because of that reason, Mr. Lukas likes this place although it has no bed or anything in it. He would spend his entire time here observing Jodan using the CCTV footage. Mr. Lukas requested a monitor that connects to the CCTV camera places in the torture room.

It's been a week. There's no information from the other end. Mr. Lukas was running around trying to make a thing or so out of him but Jodan was stubborn as hell. He denied every little piece of information. He didn't deny the fact that he has the system. Mr. Lukas never once believed his story. In his eyes, Jodan is a pathetic liar. The liar who can't even lie properly. I also agree with Mr. Lukas. Even if Jodan is telling the truth, there's hardly any chance of proving his innocence. He was gradually losing hope of proving himself.

"huh? He's not here?" I asked Ms. Clara who was glazing at the CCTV footage attentively. I was pretty shocked to see her. Well, what can I say? she has some kind of unrequited love for monsters. Perhaps, it's because of the research purpose. I unconditionally moved the conversation a bit more.

"Well, Where's he?" Ms. Clara finally took the eyes from the monitor to me with an unpleasant expression. Was it because I interrupted her?

"He said something about visiting a place and asked me to look after Jodan. Now I think about it he never mentioned the place."

"Can't he ask me about that? I'm his junior after all. It would be my job to do so." I was really angry, to be honest. Mr. LUkas always do such things. Did he think I'm useless or what? I know I'm not as good as him in terms of detective stuff but I at least can do that. Sh*t what the heck did he thinks of me?

"My, my, don't get so angry. Do you think you can come here 4 at night?"

"T-that's a.. bit difficult."

"You can't right?"

"Are you saying Mr. Lukas asked a lady to come at 4 PM?!"

"well, yes. I don't mind it as long as I get my chance to look at this notorious being."

Whatever I don't understand both Mr. Lukas and this lady. They're out of my reach.

"Wanna go inside? Alone." Huh? What was that for?

"This would be your golden chance. Think about it. Don't say that you're afraid."

"I-I'm not!"

"Than go!" Ms. CLara threw a key card to unlock the torture room. It was used to in Mr. Lukas's hand. He might have given it to her.

I was a bit scared at first but then again I mustered my courage and went to the torture room. The last massage Ms. CLara said was,

"Don't worry, I'm always looking from here. If anything danger coming I would pull the red button." That gave me more courage.

The red button is an emergency protocol. Whenever something dangerous broke out the red button has to be pressed. It would alert the guards. A quick way to notify everyone. It is also pressed when a prison tries to break out of the prison. It would immediately seal the prison cells tightly. Not even the guards can unlock it. The only way to unlock the cells after fixing the problem was to get the master key. It is handled on the Prison master. He is in charge of controlling the entire prison.

Nevertheless, I entered the torture room. As I took a step, I could smell a stinky smell. I was about to vomit but at the next, I stopped myself. Jordan was hanging on the cross looking thing with his both hand chained. You could say he looked literally like the cross from churches. Well, It could be made inspired by that thing. I don't exactly know that. I stepped forward and took a seat on a chair. The steel chair was hard. It shaped my butt flat. There's a reason to not having a wooden chair. The wooden chair is expensive as hell. Not only that also due to ecological problems. Due to excessive tree cutting and After WW3 trees have reduced to twenty percent. It's harmful to humans to cut any more than that. Anyways, Jordan was not unconscious rather he was downcasted. His eyes were noting but a blank paper. Did he finally give up his hope of convincing Mr.Lukas?
