His dear daughter

"You think I'm mentally unstable. Well, you can say I'm. This is me who lost his dear daughter. What would you expect?" Mr.Heriss wasn't showing any hesitation while saying that. It was as if he had already decided to tell me about that. The life I led until now was nothing simple. I had certainly gone through hardship but I felt like it was nothing compared to his. His bold eyes were blank with nothing but darkness in them.

"I-I don't think you like a creepy person rather someone I admire."

Mr. Heriss tilted her head down as to pick up the bag that he laid on the ground earlier. The flowers were in their place. I just gaze at them while thinking how his daughter might look. We went out way out of the graveyard.

"What are you gonna do now? Wandering around?" His question was at me however he didn't look at me. His sights were locked at the sky. The big muscular guy was feeling down? Despite not knowing the answer, I wanted to ask him.

"Well… something like that…" I have got a bank balance that would only last for at least five years. No, it would last only two years at most. When I was living in my apartment playing games, I didn't think twice about saving money or thinking about tomorrow. All I did was spend money to buy game necessities. The undoubtedly pitiful me was no longer was able to get a part-time job except in Mr.Heriss place. I wanted to love a normal, low life but it turned out pain in the ass. What was the mistake I made that made my life this? Well, if I can recall then picking the diary would be most likely the answer. Nevertheless, it's not like now that it matters. I'm gonna die pretty soon. I would be able to get myself unchained from this intense pain game. Every single moment it kicks it's an effect like a hound.

Mr. Heriss began walking faster them me and eventually, we ended up outside the graveyard. This place sure gives a spooky aura. What if the dead body in the graves comes up as Zombie that would be great. No, it would be scary. Eh-h , I don't want to think about that. My body shivered for once thinking about that possibility. Mr.Heriss stopped in his track and faced me.

"So, this is the end. We might never see each other again after this."

I certainly know what that means. But I was a little freaked out as I was totally driven in my thoughts.

"Y-yeah, it seems like." I lowered down by itself and glazes downcasted. I didn't know what I was feeling but I could say that it was a mixture of both sorrow and agony at the same time.

"Here." Mr. Heriss pulled out something from his handbag. It was a pendant. It was not large also not small. There was a heart-shaped stone in the middle. In truth, it appeared just a middle schooler who would wear something like that. A visible representation of the girl came to my mind. Perhaps, A middle schooler?

"Well, why you're giving me this?"

"It's my daughter's. She would always wear it. However, on the day of her death, she gave it to me as a memorial. I don't know if it would be useful in any case. I felt like giving it to you."

"Will you be really okay giving me your daughter's last belongings?" He just nodded slightly and after that, I took care of it.

"One more thing, promise me that you wouldn't come to save me no matter what happens to me." He didn't answer the right way. After thinking for a second, he finally uttered

"I promise. Do you think it would be alright not to tell Kelan and others"

"I don't think it's necessary to let them no. They would know eventually. You can tell them after I leave."

With that, I said my last words, "Goodbye." And turned my back to him. This is where we part ways. I have no regrets and I...I'm… strong...I wasn't crying…. But then why...tears come out…

He was the only person who embraced me in this cruel world. She showed me how to live in this world. He made me realize how not to become wimpy.

The weather was nice and so. I looked at the shining sky and thought for a moment.

"It's gonna be alright." I was not sure if I made the correct decision. Whether or not I made the correct decision was not to change anything. For better or worse I have done the right thing.

Being pumped my chest a bit I began jogging. Taking the dark alleys and roads where no one goes usually, I reached my destination. The bus station. A bus stopped and I stepped in it

I was wearing a black hoody so I attracted less attention also it's pretty early so not many people were on the bus. I then to avoid suspicion, I took a seat from far back. The seat was next to a window. The right hand of mine rested on the side of the wide window. I peeked outside through the window.

It's been five years...No, more than that, I have left for a long journey like this. The gust of wind that went past me felt quite good. It was giving me an undesirable excitement. As time passes I felt like I wanted to go forever here on this bus. I wanted to have a never-ending journey.

However, that wouldn't happen as the last stop was 'Monkey's Resolve' A city known for its unique culture. The big tall building was something to admire. There are a few tall buildings in CPA-4 and most of them are in Monkey's Resolve. The headquarters of the large organizations were placed in this city. The population here is higher than downtown. Well, it's basically because of criminal records. This city is known for its low criminal rate. Not only that people like to live here because of that. A safe place from Monsters. You could say that. Well, not one hundred percent safe.
