He’s really weak

[Today's news:

The building rooftop is damaged in several areas. The constriction employees said that it wasn't their fault. It hasn't been proven that it wasn't their fault. However, the specialist believes that it couldn't have been done by them as the damage was more impactful although the police hadn't taken it into account. They likely closed the investigation. The alley next to it is also damaged. The road was upside down by an enormous amount of force. For further information follow us in----]

"Can you turn the tv off Kelan?" Mr. Heiress asked as he entered the department. The Tv was on for the news to get to us. It was atop placed by two large plates of metal. Mr. Heriss knew I had the Tv remote so he asked me. I turned it off as he ordered. However, He was not alone. Someone was following him behind. His appearance was enough to get Kelan suspicious. That man was indeed a detective. The long coat, a small handy diary for writing down quick information, the old rusty gun that was peeking behind his coat was eagerly waiting for a shot. He entered and glanced all around, without making any eye contact with any of us. They glazed all the surround including my knives for at least sixty seconds. I could feel the chills he's giving. Like always I made a wide smile. It's my usual appearance, always smile so that no one gets suspicious of you.

Now that an unexpected visitor had got into our space, everyone looked at him with great wonder as if he's an alien or something.

"Don't worry about them." Wait, them? As Mr. Heriss said that I looked behind that detective and found another person who doesn't seem like he liked this kind of bloody stuff. He was undoubtedly avoiding all over those by looking down. A weak-hearted human, I see.

"They just here to investigate for a case. Don't mind him and get your work done otherwise you have to work overnight." Somehow I felt like a corporate worker. Whatever it's not like I had many things to wrap up. We then again concentrated on our doings while the man and his weak-hearted acquaintance advanced with their so-called investigation. They first examined the whole area little by little. The weak-hearted one was scared at first but he quickly adjusted and began taking notes in his diary. Detectives have to go through many hardships, don't they?

For example, even if you hate gore stuff, you would still need to investigate that kind of place regardless of your fears. I mean if you have higher authority on your side you might get off the hock. That's just an exceptional case. Not all can be the chief's son or daughter. I nonchalantly sliced through the meat that had a lot of fat in it. As the meat divided itself from the other half, my bare eyes met with the detective. He was looking at me intensely. I didn't notice it earlier but his eyes were filled with excitement as if the child got himself another toy to play with. I smiled at her acting normal and then concentrated back on my work. This time I didn't look in any direction and stayed in my range of sights. In that matter of time, My glazed was snatched by that man again. He was right before my very eyes looking directly at me without blinking for once. I was also doing the same. Timepass by we kept looking at each other as I find curiosity in his dark circled eyes. The eyelashes were long yet short. The winkles were visible at this close. The rough and smooth edges of his old face were kind of getting a tense feeling. To break the silence I took the initiative.

"Um…. Do… DO you need anything?" I was kind of nervous at the same time curious. For better or worse I was on my guard. Whatever happened he can't get through me. Detectives are scary. They had to be scary as they fight monsters. The creature everyone fears for. They can't just sit in their seat doing nothing. Most of the time Mr.Heriss deal with this kind of thing alone. But for some reason today was exceptional.

"Apparently, Yes. I need to get some information about Jodan. You know him right?"

"Mr. LUkas you can't just scare them like that?" It was not Mr. Herriss who said it was his acquaintance who complained.

"Well, I was just asking him some important questions. Didn't I?" He threw that one to me. "Y-Yeah" I nodded slightly.

"So, you're name is Kelan, right?"

I nodded in agreement.

"Can you come to the side for a moment? It wouldn't take too long?" After asking like that I can't just decline it. I went out of my slot and stood a bit distanced from the area. He unconditionally followed in my footsteps. Of course, he had his sidekick beside him. This is really a troublesome thing.

"Sorry for the inconvenience." He apologized.

"N-No, that's not a problem. It's okay."

"Where's Jodan hiding?" Huh? I came out of nowhere. Did he get through our plan? After all, Mr. Heriss came with this more or less.

"I don't understand what do mean by that?" I didn't put down my mask. The mask of a loop of smiles. I created it through many years of practice. I believe it more than anything. After all, No customers were able to tell it apart.

"Just drop the act." Even if he says that. I wouldn't drop the act.

"Mr. Lukas?" His assistance said with a lot of amusement. He was shocked along with me.

"Huh? What happened?" He said as if he wasn't in his self a moment ago.

"You can't just force yourself on others." His acquaintance said with his eyebrow crossed. He had an angry poker look on his face.

"Oh right! I'm extremely sorry for that." He apologized again.

"it's okay. You should often take a rest from your work. I don't want to be rude but you're getting old."

"It's true I'm but my prediction isn't." That was an unusual answer.

"Okay, How's Jodan at work?"

"To tell you the truth, he's really weak and extremely frugal to handle. As a fellow worker here he had a hard time adjusting to the environment.
