A Chance Of Freedom [2]

"yo, Renar! Why don't you get up from that place? Don't you feel bore?" The one who asked was a young boy who lived in these cells as Renar. He sometimes would talk with Renar about various stuff, mostly about the system. Something like "Why is the system got lost?" Renar would answer those questions excitedly. Sometimes he would just try to avoid them. Today Renar had a bad feeling that somethings gonna happened so he didn't leave his beloved bench. The bench was supposed to be a place to seat but in his case, it's just a bed. He would lay down there taking his precious moments alone. "How long are you gonna keep this up?" The boy shirked with wonder. He cares for Renar even though Renar doesn't feel a thing for him it's expected from a monster. In Renar's all life he never had someone to take care of him. Soz he's not used to this treat. The boy was nagging the hell out of Renar. As Renar became super pissed due to his continuous nagging, he stood up at once and grabbed his prison uniform tightly, and lifted his light body. It was direct violence.

"I said to shut up! You annoying brat!" Renar said with a threatening voice. However, the boy was just smiling, he wasn't even scared for a bit. Seeing his unwavering smile Renar averted his eyes to outside, "hey! What are you doing?!" A prison guard yelled at Renar who was observing Renar for a while now. Renar pulled out his hand immediately, making the boy fell on his four limbs. "Tch, you damn brat" Renar's disgusting look made the boy more excited. The prison guard again asked, "I'm asking what's going on?" This time an answer was given. "It's nothing. We're just playing." Said the boy.nIt was indeed a play to him. He enjoys teasing Renar. It's like his daily habit. Renar was utterly irritated by this fact.

"Just keep quiet!" The guard shouted at the boy and went back to his place.

"Don't be so sad, Renar" He tried to empathize with Renar but it ended up pissing him more. "Don't try to talk with me. Just go the hell out of here."

"Hai, hai," The boy had already got his half of the fun so he was about to went away but he stopped his tracks as if remembering something.

"Oh right! You got people to meet, I know it's impossible to think but you certainly have people waiting."

"I said get the hell out of my sights." Renar thought it was one of his tricks but it wasn't.

"I wasn't making fun of you. Look! That guard is back."

"Renar-899" was Renar's code name that was labeled on his uniform. The prison uniform had everyone's name and code name sealed together.

Renar looked at the guard. "You there! Come with me. You got visitors."

Renar was shocked at first but it faded away as he came to the knowledge of the person he was seeing. The negotiation room was the only place where prisoners get to meet with family members or other ones like lawyer prosecutors. The prison guard pushed him into the room but he stayed outside.

"Whoah! It's nice to meet you!" The man Renar hated most appear in front of him. The same old face and winkled shirt, everything was the same as the time Renar met him. Today he was in an unusually joyful manner. His face would always be gloomy and cold glaze but why is it different today? Renar wasn't seating on the chair in front of him rather he was surprised to see this person.

"Why aren't you seating? You got butt problem?" The man indeed was making fun of him. "Tch" Renar was as irritated as ever. He took a seat but didn't glaze at the person directly. His averted face took the interest of the man who was seated nonchalantly on the other side of the glass. There is just a hole that is used to pass your voice.

"Are you afraid to see me? You don't have to be. I'm not here to take you to the torture room. No, maybe I'm but as a guest." Renar didn't reply to his saying. He just kept his quiet.

"Don't you want to see the person who uses the system now? The system you called the future." The man had finally gone to a serious mode.

For the first time, Renar glared straight at his eyes.

"So, you want me to gulp out info from that brat?"

"Most probably Yes"

"Then I honorably deny your offer. I don't care about that system or whatever. Whether he had the system or not doesn't matter to me much now."

"I see. You have given up on it."

"Do you need anything or I'm done with you, Mr.Lukas!" Renar stood up and was on his way out but something stopped him.

"I didn't say you have to do it free of charge."

"Huh?" Renar looked back at Lukas as he said that.

"I can reduce your stay in this prison. You know what I mean. " Mr. Lukas was indeed telling the truth. He has certainly had the power to do that, his grinning face was the proof of that. However, Renar wasn't convinced by that. For a second he stopped but then again he began moving forward.

"Not convinced?"

"Time." Renar was asking how much time he would get reduced.

"Probably a year or two. You don't have to worry about that. I would have to be inside at most six months."

Renar turned around, facing straight at Mr. Lukas. "Fine" His words hadn't surprised Mr. Lukas. It was as if he knew Renar would agree to his proposal. He smiled for the last time and seated properly in his chair. Up until now, he was kind of sluggishly laying on the chair but now he got into his serious mode after pulling himself and straightening his back. "Let's get into business."
