Ch 8: Delusional Girls

Karenina rolled her tongue in her mouth as she controlled her obvious smirk. Creating tension between her girlfriends she murmurs,"Because he's my father's best friend and my father asked him to look after me as long as I stay here."

"Girl what?" Helene shrieked, while Mariyam pressed her wide opened mouth with her palms.

Helene pushed herself close to Karenina and chuckled,"Doesn't that make Father Romeo your uncle?"

All three of them bursted into laughter but soon they dissolved into coughing when Romeo glanced at them. Closing the book, he walks towards their seat and looking down at them he asks politely.

"What's so amusing?"

Karenina and Mariyam lowered their faces, secretly giggling within while Helene handled the situation with some random lie. Which actually worked because Romeo didn't say anything further and continued teaching. They began gossiping again and to their surprise Romeo never pointed them out. Even other students were obviously disturbed but he said nothing.

This action of Romeo made Helene and Mariyam worship Karenina. When the literature class ended, Helene quickly started massaging Karenina's shoulders while Mariyam started polishing her nails.

"Girl, you are so cool. I can't believe a strict professor like Father Romeo said nothing to us," Helene commented.

"I think Father Romeo is scared of Karenina's father. I have heard Alpha Dante is very ruthless and merciless when dealing with enemies," Mariyam added, she was no longer timid and shy.

Bringing her face near Karenina's right ear, Helene murmured,"Girl, I have a very great idea to make other girls jealous of us."

"How?" She asked, and Mariyam joined in too.

"Why not try to seduce Father Romeo?"

Mariyam gasped when she heard Helene's wild suggestion. Karenina kept quiet because she had made a promise to herself that she would not acknowledge Romeo as her mate. Another reason was that she was fully aware of the punishment she might receive for seducing the High Priest of the Selene Grandeur Temple. Karenina was about to interrupt Helene and decline her suggestion when she heard her mentioning other girls.

"I have seen that bitch Catherine and her friends checking out Father during the classes."

"Other girls check him out? What for?" Karenina panicked, without even realising her temperament.

"Shh, keep your voice low. Someone will hear us," Mariyam and Helene reacted, as they immediately palmed Karenina's mouth.

They were in the playground, resting under the warm rays of sun and relaxing. Removing their hands from her mouth, Karenina chuckles,"Are you suggesting I seduce him because you think nothing will happen to me, right?"

"Y-Yes..." Helene stuttered as soon as she heard Karenina's serious voice. And scared of making her friend mad, Helene corrected,"I-I mean you don't have to do it if you don't want to."

"Helene, you shouldn't have suggested something like that. Don't you have respect for him?" Mariyam glanced at her in disappointment. "He's not only our professor but the High Priest of the temple. No matter how powerful Karenina's father or pack is , going against the law of the temple and having an affair with one of the priests will ruin Karenina's life!"

"Alright, I was wrong. I'm sorry," Helene apologised and hugged Karenina because Mariyam was giving her cold stares as if she would choke her in annoyance.

Mariyam then looked at Karenina, and holding her hand she said,"Katty, don't listen to her nonsense. She will someday make us walk through the path of hell."

Karenina nodded in thought, but her mind was fixed on other girls checking out Romeo. Her wolf was constantly thinking about how other girls could admire her mate. Her wolf was not ready to reject or accept rejection from Romeo without giving her hundred percent into seducing him.

Sighing deeply, Karenina placed her head on Helene's shoulder and murmured," I will try... I can't let other girls win his heart."

"Katty, please reconsider. What if you get expelled from the college and sent back to your country?" Mariyam asked, she sounded worried.

"That will be much better," she answered and before her friends would start panicking, she clarified,"don't worry, we will be in contact and do meet-ups every month."

"So you have already thought it out."

"Yeah, I never do anything without back-up plans," Karenina smiled and closed her eyes.

After a few minutes of silence, Helene whispers,"Look who's passing by."

"Who?" Karenina opened her eyes and as soon as her eyes met with Romeo's piercing blue eyes, her skirt rode up exposing her underwear to him.

Romeo's face turned red as his expressions tensed, he looked straight and went on his way while Karenina and her friends sat there with their jaws dropped.

"Katty, did you purposely allow your skirt to fly up?" Helene asked.

"No, girl. But did you notice his face?"

Helene pressed close to Karenina and mumbled,"Yes, I noticed. He was embarrassed. He might be crossing himself mentally for viewing such unholy temptations LoL."

"He's definitely interested in you, Katty. The way he allowed you to talk in the class and exempted us from receiving the punishment for being late. I think he's smitten by your beautiful face."

Karenina looked at Helene with bright eyes, "Really? Do you really think he's interested in me?"

"Yes, otherwise why would he give you special treatment?"

Mariyam shrugged off her shoulders and interrupted them," Isn't he giving her special treatment because she's the daughter of his best friend? I don't think he would be interested in young she-wolves ."

Mariyam was given cold glances from Helene and Karenina. They surely don't want to hear Mariyam's words because she was talking sense. And they were dreaming about impossibilities and being delusionals.

Mariyam sighed and went inside the dormitory first. Whilst Helene and Karenina stayed back in the playground talking erotic stuff. When suddenly someone called Karenina's name and cursed.

"Hello bitch, are you doing well?"

"Ivaan you?" Helene turned back and grabbed Karenina's wrist. She was about to drag her friend with her but Ivaan's friends blocked their way.

"What's the urgency? Why are you guys running from me when we are classmates?" Ivaan chuckled, taking solid steps towards them.

Helene spread open her arms, covering Karenina and firmly asked Ivaan,"What do you want?"

"Revenge," he growled in rage, pulling Helene away from his face. And leaning close to Karenina, he retorted,"Because of you I was grounded for a week. Don't you have anything to say to me? For example, don't you want to beg for my mercy?"
