Twenty Delicacies!

They led their troops together into the war but unfortunately, they didn't make it back alive but still left their names in history.

Seeing their picture definitely made her proud to be related to such people. Walking further, there was a picture of lady Bee who was once used to threaten the military into recalling one of their deadly missile during the war between C city and M city.

She was the wife of a late military commander and held power so she was the best leverage that time. But before they could use her threaten the military, she killed herself.

The wall was filled with great heroes which the country will adore till tomorrow and she was surprised they had one relationship or the other with the Reigns.

Then getting to the second to last picture, she saw Levi. On a closer look, one would notice It wasn't exactly Levi. There was a clear difference between them except their age and that is their eyes.

The man in the portrait had ocean blue eyes and were filled with emotions unlike Levi's cold gaze. He was just as handsome as Levi, but he'd little wrinkles on his face. He died at an early age of sixty two but the details of his death were unknown.

He was called Damiel Reigns and was three generations older than Levi. Just then, Levi walked in with his hands in his pockets and stood besides Emma who was staring at the portrait.

"Here, take this." Levi passed her a bar of candy. Due to the arrangements, Emma has not been able to eat since morning so she was very happy when Levi gave her candy, and her favorite one at that.

No information was provided under his picture about the great deed he did when alive so without wasting much time, Emma proceeded to the next picture and continued her cleaning.

Levi stood at the side and watched her clean up till the last painting. He only left by 4pm when Emma went to the kitchen to start making dinner.

At exactly 7pm, the whole family gathered at the huge dining hall and sat round the long rectangular table. There were sixteen people seated round the table meant for thirty people and an array of dishes spread across the table. The Reigns tradition demands the daughter in-law to make twenty different dishes and should be served in their traditional marble plate so Emma has been busy for the past four hours.

There were twelve local dishes and eight intercontinental dishes. Emma, even without knowing how to cook most international dishes was able to cook five of the difficult ones named for her. With the use of Google and a little experience from Andreas dishes, she made twenty wonderful dishes.

Chairman Reigns who happens to be a foodie stared at all the delicacies on the table with drouling mouth. He personally created the list of dishes Emma had to cook and made sure all were his favorite. Without wasting time, the dishes were served and everyone began eating without a word.

The chairman couldn't help but have a large smile on his face as he kept refiling his plate with more and more food from the different dishes laud out in front of him.

Emma was so happy seeing his expression as he ate. She put in a lot of effort in making the dishes with the hopes of winning the elders with her superb cooking skills. Even though the rest of the elders had no expression while eating, chairman Reigns expression was all she needed to know she has successfully captured one of their hearts.

The elders were also enjoying themselves but none of them found it necessary to show it. After all there won't be a prize for Emma if everyone loved the food so there was no need to flatter her.

Another person who didn't bother hiding her mood was Cecile, the youngest daughter in law, who ate with a long and dissatisfied face. When she got married ,she made twenty unpalatable and none of the elders could eat.

She was brought up as a queen and always had servants at her beck and call so she struggled to finish her task. But because Arab love her so much, he protected her from the consequences and the family let her be.

Now, having to see chairman Reigns smile while eating Emma's dishes, she couldn't control the jealousy in her.

After dinner, the elders all took their usual seats in the sitting room with Emma and Emma and Levi seated before them.

"I'll have to say, your cooking is superb!" Chairman Reigns praised with an undetectable sadness within his eyes.

"Thanks grandpa." Emma said with a smile. She was thankful he didn't scold her for calling him grandpa.

"So Emma, I hope you are aware of our involvement with the underworld?" Zede asked sternly.

"Yes." Emma said after a quick glance at Levi who remained emotionless.

"Do you know about Josh or Ben?" Zede asked sternly.

"I don't." Emma said.

"There isn't a lot for you to know about him. But be clear on one thing, run away if you ever encounter either of them." Joe adviced seriously.
