Dare to Poison The Boss??

The kitchen was simply magnificent. After taking in the luxury before her, she went to the fridge and picked out a few ingredients with the intention of making a light dish. After all, he wanted a quick lunch right?

After taking out some vegetables with eggs, fish and some tomatoes, she went to the sink and washed them all before cutting them.

She placed a pot of water on fire and took out some pasta from the upper cupboard. She busied around for about fifteen minutes before setting two servings of hot steaming pastas on the table.

Getting back to the office, Levi stood up already approaching his lounge before Emma could tell him the food was ready. He walked to the mini dining table and sat down before his plate of pasta.

Emma hid her own share in the kitchen in fear of her boss making trouble and preventing her from eating later on.

After making sure he had no look of disapproval on his face, she turned around in an attempt to go back to the kitchen when he stopped her with a sentence.

"How am I sure you haven't poisoned me out of anger?" Levi asked as he stared down at the dish before him.

I thought as much!' Emma sighed inwardly. She picked up the fork by the side and before she could scoop a spoon into her mouth, he held her hands, preventing her from moving any further.

"What now??!" she asked impatiently. "You can't eat from my food." He said discontentedly.

*sigh*

Emma stomped into the kitchen and brought out her own share of the food then she sat down at the seat opposite Levi.

She picked up her fork and began eating without looking at Levi for even a second. When she had eaten to her fill, she drank her glass of water and dabbed her mouth before facing Levi.

Levi sat there staring at Emma since she started eating and he hasn't said anything since then. He kept silent the whole time she ate, carefully observing her features in a daze.

When Emma looked at him, he adjusted his expression to his cold face and stared back at the satisfied expression on her face.

"See... I've eaten. It's definitely not poisonous. You can eat now, my lunch break is over." Emma said as she stood up and adjusted her clothes.

"Did I say you could leave?" Levi asked which caused Emma to halt in her footsteps.

"Sit down and wait till I'm done eating. You will do the dishes after." Levi then bowed his head and ate gracefully. His every movement was flawless as he ate the pasta one scoop at a time.

Emma had no other choice than to sit down and she scrolled through her phone dejectedly. Why does he have to make her work so much harder??

After what felt like forever, Levi put down his cutlery and drank his cup of water. The food was definitely one he has never had and the taste made him crave for more.

He has eaten the food of various seven star chefs all over the world but never did he think he would ever like the food of this girl so much.

After setting down his glass cup, Emma wasted no time as she picked up the dishes and rushed into the kitchen to wash them. 'Why is she in a hurry to leave??'

Emma came out of the kitchen a few minutes later and was glad Levi had returned to the office. She left the lounge and upon arriving in the office, she saw him talking with an old man who had two bodyguards by his side and both of them had serious expressions on their faces.

Without looking back, she left the office and returned back to the PR department after a deep and long sigh.

It's been more than an hour since she left and she was surprised the deputy director didn't question her nor scold her for being absent during work hours. She was even more happy seeing her schedule for the rest of the day was free so she happily went back to work.

At the close of work, Zeus came looking for her and escorted her to the underground car park. She could already guess why she was summoned just by the look on Levi's face as he sat behind the wheels.

"Get in." He said as he stared into the dark. Without uttering any other word, Emma reached out for the backseat door.

"Do I look like your driver or what?? Get in here." Levi's angry voice came from the front seat and Emma could only clutch her bag as she entered the car.

Levi accelerated and in no time, they were on the road. Emma kept quiet as she stared out the window as they zoomed pass building after building. Then the buildings were reducing until she started seeing trees.

"We are leaving the city??" Emma asked in surprise but Levi didn't reply as he continued driving. They soon got to a remote area and the trees were soon reducing until they got to a remote mountain.
