A Marriage on Paper

But right now, she sees a man with a warm expression sitting beside her and asking her to marry him. She felt different emotions all at once.

"But boss... I don't have any feelings for you." Emma said gently.

"That's alright. As long as we are together, feelings can come later." Levi said calmly. Emma suddenly went speechless as she didn't know how to refuse this boss of hers.

Over the past few weeks, she's been staying alone with him in his mansion and to be honest, she's gotten used to the place. Having to wake up early in the morning and prepare breakfast for Levi... Then eating all three meals at the same table as him... doing his laundry and cleaning his room while he stands by the door and annoys the shit out of her.

Truth is, something's been growing deep down inside which she's been trying to avoid because she knows both of them are basically impossible.

Levi gave the middle-aged man a signal and he nodded before leaving the room with his assistant.

Immediately he left, Levi brought out another paper from his suit and kindness it in front of her. Picking up the paper before her, she felt disappointed upon seeing 'Agreement' written in bold on top of the paper.

It says they will act like a married couple for One year and will have to announce to the world that they have been dating for some time now. Emma will then become the young madam of the Reigns family and will have to behave like one, especially in front of Chairman Reigns.

During the one year, they will stay in separate rooms and will have no emotional attachment whatsoever. Emma is entitled to 30% of Omars Royal shares and she can request for anything except one, Levi's love.

After reading through the dos and don'ts of the contract, Emma looked up at Levi's face which carried a hint of guilt as he stared back at her. He didn't want to force her, but he had to. Time was running tight.

"I will also promise you that your sister Andrea will be in good hands. Nothing of that sort is ever going to happen to her." Levi added.

Come to think of it, the only thing that will change in her life was the new title she will receive; Mrs Reigns. She will continue living with Levi and will continue working at the company. Then the fact that she will start acting like a rich socialite and accompanying Levi to top class events... her life is definitely going in contrast to what she originally planned.

With a deep long sigh, Emma reluctantly placed her signature in the two documents then the middle-aged man came in and took back the document he left. In less than ten minutes, he came back with two copies of their marriage certificate and gave it to Levi before they said their goodbyes.

Walking outside, Emma was still in a daze as to what just happened. About an hour ago, she was still considered Singleton and an hour later, she was married. And to Levi Reigns of all people. It was definitely a lot to take in.

"Here." Levi passed her a copy of the certificate.

'Ding ding ding ding'

Taking out his phone, Levi had no change in his expression as he took out his keys and walked towards Zeus who seemed to have showed up out of thin air. He swapped car keys with Zeus as he stared back at Emma.

"Take her back to the company." he ordered and Zeus nodded in understanding. With his usual coldness, he turned to look at Emma who was staring blankly at him and walked towards her.

"There's still a lot of work to do at the office so you should head back. " Levi said in a somewhat gentler tone.

"But don't let me wait tonight." He whispered to her before walking to the sport car behind Zeus and driving off leaving Emma dumbfounded.

"So this is what it feels like to be married huh..." Emma whispered as she caressed the certificate in her hands. Looking at the road Levi drove off on, she sighed before returning back to the company with Zeus.

"Chairman... the young master is here." The old butler informed Chairman Reigns who was drinking afternoon in the garden.

Just as he finished speaking, Levi walked in with a serious expression on his face.

"Grandpa..." he greeted respectfully before placing the marriage certificate on the table.

Chairman Reigns didn't bother to look at Levi as he placed his teacup on the table gently before picking up the document.

"You know you are in deep trouble right?" Chairman Reigns asked in a deep voice as he stared at Levi.

"I know grandpa. But I'm already married so there's nothing he can do." Levi replied lightly as he took a seat by Chairman Reigns side.

Ever since he was found, Chairman Reigns had always loved Levi, even more than his own son Austin. He took care of Levi when Austin was managing the family business and was always by his side, ready to spoil him at any time.

Levi's mother passed away six years after his birth and it was during that period Chairman Reigns accepted Levi into the family. But that only happened after Austin threatened to sever all ties with the Reigns when he was still grieving Levi's mom.
