Chapter 309

I had forgotten about the crowd in my aim to get them away from each other. There stood still without saying a word and was just staring at us. It is safe to say that I wished they were still shouting or saying anything. I am so scared of the silence and the expression on their face, it is very obvious that the wheels in their head were turning and coming up with a plan, but I knew it would not favour any of us. Naki was still on the ground writhing and battling with herself while Leo was on his feet, turning around to guage the reaction of the crowd and also to know if they were going to cause any trouble.

My nose was throbbing already, it was almost as if someone took a stone to it and was trying to reshape it. I always hated the way my nose looks but I am sure that everyone has a part of their body they would like to change and some more than others. If I had known that this was part of the process to change it, I would have treated it better. I tore out the bottom of my clothes and placed it in my nose to help stem the blood flow. I raised my head upwards too to help reduce the blood flow downwards. It was so weird trying to look at the crowd with my face raised up. I surely am a character. What happened next was all so sudden, it was as if a spell was cast on them, they all started coming towards us in all direction, their step also matched each other.

I walked towards Naki while still keeping my eyes on them to get her out of the fog she was in. This was certainly not the time for her to be losing her mind, we all needed to be at alert so we could figure out a way out of this. It was almost as if we were in sync too, as we all came together at the middle till our backs were touching, the space between us was almost a triangle. This way we had a person watching from each direction and we could easily report to the others what was happening. They were coming closer and closer, there was no way we would be able to take them up in a battle, we were outnumbered and I was not good at fighting.

Naki and Leo had already exhausted their strength due to their earlier, they were not going to be able to fight as much as they were meant to before they would get burned out. I was fidgeting now and kept trying to think of way to get us out of this predicament. I took a step forward and was trying to speak but no one was ready to listen to what I was saying. I had to get back and get back into our previous formation.
