chapter 50- Leyla in trouble

He kept strolling through the shelves, he had to find it , but didn't know where it was,he had been looking for it for hours but he had no luck.

He walked to the next shelf and let his fingers stroll through the books and stopped at a book that the cover look very old. 'For a renowned library this book looked like a century old. ' He thought picking the book to read the title, he was amazed when he didn't find any, then what was it about? He wondered, he opened the book and read the first page.

He stopped short when he heard some footsteps that was coming from his corner he turned quickly to see Leyla , 'what was she doing here?' He thought. She had her back on him and was about to turn to face him when he felt a hand on his shoulder, before he could turn to see who's hand was on his shoulder he had disappeared just as Leyla was turning and was about to see him.

He appeared in a room in the palace.

"I must say that you're quite unlucky this period. Leyla almost caught you and you know how she is." The person voice said. A voice that he knew too well.

He bowed his head." Your Highness. "He said.

" Did you find the book that I asked you to look for?" Alex asked.

"I don't know your highness, but I found this book and was about to examine it before you came." He headed Alex the book." I am not too sure whether it is the one you requested ,but judging from the book cover and the little quantity that I have read ,I know that it may contain something that might be useful to you." He said.

Alex examined the book that had a black old cover and looked like it was about to fall apart any moment. "You know Steven a wise old man once said that we should Never judge a book by it's cover. But this book does raise the question." He said to him.

"Your highness what about princess Leyla?" He asked.

Alex grinned mischievously. "What about her?"

"We left her there in the library." Steven replied.

"Its not a new thing , she isn't a child that needs protection." Alex stated." And you know that very well Steven."

Steven frowned." I am just enquiring because she is the princess of this kingdom and her safety is my priority."

"I know that." Alex replied his grin in place."Steven the way you are concerned about my sister it would seem like you have a crush on my sister. "Alex taunted.

Steven expression was left unchanged." You highness I am serious about what I am saying the woman at the library said that they have been reports of women being raped and killed there." He said.

Alex looked surprised. "What do you mean being raped and killed? It is a library people must hear the women as they are screaming for help." He asked angrily.

"I don't know but , they say they usually attack the woman in the sections that are rarely visited." He said." Like the historical section." He added.

"Why haven't this been reported to the king?" Alex asked.

"I don't know for sure your highness?" Steven replied.

Alex frowned." Something is fishy about this matter. "He said." But don't worry about Leyla she may look weak but she is beyond that." He said.

Steven smiled." Am not worried about her ,I am worried about what she would do to the people that tries to mess with her." He said.

Alex smiled back." Let's just hope she has mercy on them. But we need to find out about the rape and murder cases that have been happening in the library. "Alex said.

She could have sworn that she had just seen Steven. "He was standing right here." She said aloud to no one.

She keen she saw a glimpse of him before he vanished into thin air. His scent was still fresh. She heard footsteps approaching her from behind and turned abruptly to face two huge vampires. She would have thought them to be peasant if not for the way they were dressed.

"Can I help you?" She asked politely.

"Yes you can , me and my brother were wondering what a pretty lady like yourself is doing in this part of the library. ' The one with blonde spoke.

"All alone." The vampire with brown hair added.

She wasn't liking where this was going." What I am doing here is none of your business and I am hardly alone." She stated.

"We know that you are alone because there is no one apart from us that is in this section." The blonde replied.

She wasn't in the mood to answer such people she turned to leave but the blonde snaked an arm around her back and pulled her close to his chest. "Where do you think you are going? ,we have hardly finished our nice conversation."

"Let go of me." She pushed at his chest but he refused to budge." I said let go , I am warning you , if you don't let go you'll regret it." She warned.

The brown head looked at her mockingly. "Oh no madame don't hurt me." He said mimicking a girly voice.

The one who held her laughed loudly." Enough." He said when his laugh had died down." Time for business. "He said , and then leaned down to kiss her.

Before his lips could reach hers , Leyla angrily used her sharp nails to pierce into his cheek.

The man screamed and let her go but before she could dash out the other vampire had lashed out at her.

"You little bitch." He roared and backhanded her so hard in the face that she went flying to the ground. Her head instantly began spinning a little. She reached up to her mouth and wiped away the blood.

The blonde vampire had already regained himself walked up to her and pulled her up by her neck that her feet were dangling from the ground." This wouldn't happened if you had just behaved and kept your little tricks to yourself." His voice was stern.

She could feel life draining from her as he squeezed tightly. She had to do something before he killed her , she knew that she promised her father that she wouldn't kill anyone. Because she killed people in a harsh and gruesome why that was displeasing to the eyes, and her father had made her promise him that she wouldn't kill a person except if it was necessary but this was a life and death situation and she wasn't going to let them go easily.
