As time passed, Maya became a loyal follower of Harry, always sticking close by his side. However, things took a turn when Harry's step-younger brother began to exhibit his sense of power, or "mana," and used it to bully his older brother. At first, he did so discreetly, hoping to avoid their father's notice. But one day, their father caught Harry's younger brother in the act, as he brutally attacked Harry right in front of him. Surprisingly, their father remained silent and chose not to intervene. In the end, he coldly remarked that "he could not save someone he deemed to be worthless."

Following that particular day, Harry's personality underwent a dramatic transformation. He began to frequently attack and humiliate his servants and maids. One by one, they left his employment, and only Maya remained. Perhaps she held onto the hope that Harry would regain his senses and return to being the kind and compassionate young master he once was. Despite the harsh treatment she received, Maya remained loyal to Harry and continued to fulfill her duties with grace and diligence. The turmoil within Harry had caused a palpable shift in the atmosphere of the estate, as the once harmonious environment was now fraught with tension and fear. Everyone could see that Harry was spiraling out of control, but they were powerless to intervene.

After all, it's her job to fix up the likes of me." Despite his nonchalant attitude, Harry couldn't help but feel a twinge of gratitude towards Maya for saving his life.
