Trapped!!

*March 2008, Manhattan, New York.*

The sound of guns firing could be heard in the dark warehouse. The sparks flying were the only source of light in the darkness. The IR glasses of the gun wielders were fried from inside, so they couldn't use it. A shadow could be occasionally be seen moving in the dim light of sparks. Each time it came, two more men disappear. Soon only three were left. They were scared to the core, when one got strangled and lifted up. The tried firing but both of their guns were snatched and got a punch respectively knocking them out. This was of course Enigma, catching them in middle of Human trafficking. The police soon rushed in but found all knocked out with surprisingly two dead. But they didn't care as they knew he only killed the worst kind according the proof he leaves.

The police in Westchester's had already came to an understanding with him, so they usually keep an eye out in day, and let him hunt at night. Though the cases have dropped a lot turning it in one of the safest places. No one blamed the police for anything Enigma did and they did their job really well. Though there are always some hate here and there, but hater's just gonna hate. JJJ has already began targeting him. Guess that's some load off Peter when he starts.

Away from the vigilante life, as Alexander Knight, he had opened his Holo-phones for market with a video-game company as well. They were doing well. The middle school has finally ended, and they had a party yesterday. He actually bought them home to tell who he is. And shock would be an understatement for their reaction. Kitty straight fainted. It was fumy.

After sometime they settled in and started playing games in the game room set-up. We all decided to enter Mid-town high. It was close to Peter's and I had already bought a house there. Other's had no problem either due to the direct bus. We had visited the X mansion as well, Charles had really started doing things right. He only used slight surface reading to see our intensions and nothing else. Logan had gone on a vacation for a while. The school has finally kicked in good because of the positive response of the populous right now. Keeping those guys in check is a real pain.

I sometimes send messages to Fury. His face the first time he got it was priceless. He tried his best to stop me, but failed. The location they tried to say always showed me somewhere in Europe and the investigated it even though they knew I was messing around. The video of me petting the T-cycle had become a meme. I don't even know what to say to that.

Tony has his presentation in Afghanistan in a week from now. I decided to rescue him right after a week had passed. We already were working on miniaturizing the arc reactor in the free time we spent together. I finally realized the three had a crush on me. I can't believe I acted so dense. Oracle had a blast laughing at my realization. She even took a photo of me and sent to Alfred!

While telling my summary of past year, I reached home, avoiding the Shield drone, once again. *sigh*, they are really persistent.

"You should really get in contact with them to stop them from following you you know. They think you are a coward scared of them." Oracle told me.

"I'll think about it" I said removing my costume and getting back to the room lying down.

"You seem confused? What's the matter?" she asked.

"*sigh* It's the gangs in New York. They are getting smarter and bringing bigger weapons. I use phasing and clones when they aren't looking. But taking them head-on without showing any powers is no longer viable." I said.

"Then it's time you show you have grown."

"No, not until Peter becomes Spiderman, or else his start would be too rough" was all I said before going to sleep.

The next morning I went to Kamar Taj because of a call from master.

"Alex, just on time, we are a bit low on hands at the moment, you free to help us out?" she asked greeting me with Mordo battle ready.

I created two clones and said." Depends on how many hands you want?" That got me some chuckles before getting to work. The locator has detected multiple intrusion attempts today. Four teams are going to four different location Two major and two minor. Ancient one will be going to one of them while me and Mordo will handle the other with our teams. We were to go to an abandoned village in Texas. I swear it sounds familiar bit can't pinpoint it.

We reach the place silently tracking when Mordo asks me to use Soul gaze. I can actually control if someone can feel my gaze or not. Easy to scare criminals. But when I activated, I was left terrified. A big pitch black soul was looking around as if searching for something. Then he suddenly stopped and turned toward me, And I recognized him.

"Sh*t, it's Blackheart". When I said all sorcerers became tense. Then we heard him call, "Looks like the pesky sorcerer's found out. Doesn't matter., The Bald lady isn't here so I will easily kill you." And he was right. None of us were strong enough. Even not me.

I told Oracle to inform master while we dispersed to attack from different angles. But within seconds, all were down except me and Mordo, who was barely standing. And that fuc*er was just playing whit us. I healed Mordo , which surprised Blackheart and attacked him with swiftness. I never stayed in the same place for a second after attacking. Both, my magic training from Kamar Taj, and the martial arts from batman and Robin were on full display. I reached close enough to use spatial manipulation from his link to connect him back to hell. He was caught off-guard but was furious to return back.

Before I could retreat, he bound me up and said, "If I am going, then you are coming with me." as the portal engulfed us as I watched it in fear.

"NOOO". Mordo couldn't do anything but see us getting dragged away with tears.

* Kamar Taj*

Ancient one was both angry and sad. She sent her student to fight against Blackheart while she was taking care of measly hell-spawns. She regretted calling him. He was well known by all sorcerers here. His power was respectable and he was friendly to all. She used the Eye of Agomoto to look in the future to find him, and found a slip as well. It was just quite later and she feared for the worst. Hell was definitely not a place to be. Suddenly Gaea materialized next to her with anger and worry visible in her eyes and asked "Yao, what happened?"

* Hell*

I don not know how much time has passed. A month? Maybe more? don't know. I have lost all hope and am trying to do just one thing . Survive. To somehow return back. To meet his friends and family. I had to stay alert nearly all the time. Even an hour of sleep was luxury.

On earth it was possible to survive without food and water, but here was another case. A little bit of Elemental magic had attracted many High level demons here, Whom I had to fight. I could only use little of twilight energy as the connection was severed. One For All and quantum tunneling were still usable, but drained stamina real quick. I only had potions to drink. With all hope lost, I had to roast demon flesh and drink blood. It was poisonous, even for me, but the potions kept me alive. I have now developed high resistivity for it. My connection with Oracle severed when I got here. Luckily Blackheart didn't come. I was now just a hunter here. I was actually able to learn hellfire copying it. But it was corrupting my soul so I never used it. All my senses were at max sharp. I was in a half asleep state with dark moon beside me, ready to hunt whatever comes.

Suddenly I felt a voice call me

'a...', " al...x", "a..l..e..x..."

'ALEX' the yell startled me as I sprang into action but saw no one,... Wait, that voice...

"O-oracle.., is that you?"

"Alex are you Ok? Quick head to the connection. The gate won't be connected for long and requires both sides to open it. Hurry."

Hearing her voice, I threw all my worries and rushed to the source of connection I felt at blinding speed. I finally reached and established a connection to open the gate. As soon as it opened I jumped in without hesitation. Anything better than this place. The journey back turned me extremely dizzy but I held on. I didn't trust anything until I was surely safe. I landed on the grass face first. My body was hurting all over. But then fresh air returned me back to my senses when I felt a hand in my hair. I didn't have any strength left to repel it. I didn't even want to repel it.

"It's alright, you can sleep now Alex", was all I heard and I blacked out.

*One week later*

In a cottage surrounded by beautiful trees, and a crystal clear lake beside it, one could only call this magical place paradise. In the cottage lay a boy around 16 years old, slowly waking up from his slumber. This was Alex who had been in a coma for a week finally waking up.

Seeing the unfamiliar ceiling, Alex was confused, but then suddenly shot up summoning Dark moon looking around in vigilance. The experience in hell had changed him a lot.

He slowly wandered out and looked at the scenery to find out he was where he had first met Gaea.

He then saw her walking towards him and let his stance loosen. But still didn't let go of the sword. Gaea was hurt to see this. If she had paid more attention, this wouldn't had happened.

She looked down and said," I'm sorry Alex. if I was there you wouldn't have faced that." This took Alex by surprise, then he noticed he still hadn't let go of his sword. Hell had changed him to be extremely vigilant all times. He finally eased is stance and consoled her it wasn't her fault and he was fine in the end.

After that Gaea told him that the disturbances caused when he arrived were still being fixed, so that then change in timeline could stay minimum, and her with many other's were busy dealing with it. Even Mephisto was there. Makes sense, as he should have known about anything happening in hell. Also gave the perfect chance to Blackheart to do as he pleased.

She felt their connection severe and went to master for information. This was one and a half month ago. I was I coma when I got here because of the changes in my body due to hell's energy. That why I was in her realm right now. She also told me that she actually made me her son rather than a champion. I realized right now that I had actually been wanting a mother's love all the time but never realized it. I just cried in her embrace for awhile and she just held me, telling me it was alright now.

After crying, I was extremely embarrassed, yet happy at the same time. A mother's love was really important in life. I also talked to Oracle who also cried calling mean idiot again and again. I really had a lot of people close to me. Mother upgraded my ring to have it's own personal space connected to her realm, as I now needed an abundant amount of magical energy to grow stronger.

I went back to Kamar Taj and everyone greeted me on coming back as well as apologizing. I didn't regret my actions. It was either me or Mordo. And I was happy to see him alright. Both him and master finally relented when I said I would have still done it even if I knew the outcome. Oracle was not happy with me saying this. But now I had a lot of time to talk to her and rest, which I still needed. Mentally, that is.

I went home to see Alfred and Eliana waiting there. I rushed and hugged him , which he returned with a tear and said" Welcome back Alex. Welcome back."
