When it all began

Gao Chen beamingly smiled at the stunned Fua Lin, well he would take it as a positive response to his proposal, and then he will take it slowly from there. He has been planning for a way to confess his feelings to Fua Lin for the past weeks, he was purposely avoiding her because he wanted to be sure of how he really felt for this girl. He has been constantly thinking about her, and every time he sees her, his heart would just do a marathon on its own, this feeling was all too foreign for him, so he needed to be sure.

He remembered it clearly when it started, it was raining that day and Fua Lin was waiting for his sister near the gate so they could come home together. On normal days, he just left his sister and Fua Lin alone, and when in school he did not give them much attention as well, they don't see each other often since they stay at different buildings.

"Are you waiting for Gao Quin?" he stopped at his tracks, with one hand carrying an umbrella, and the other one securing his backpack.

"Yes, she left her umbrella in class, so she ran over to get it." Fua Lin slightly shivered from the cold, her uniform was slightly drenched from the rain.

"So you let my sister use your umbrella and left you to get rained on, tsk, she's always such a brat, and you spoil her too much." then Gao Chen extended his arms towards Fua Lin, "here hold this" he made her hold the umbrella but suddenly a strong gust of wind passed so Fua Lin struggled to hold onto the huge umbrella with all her might, while she did not notice a heavy stare by the boy standing next to her.

Seeing the girl stood her ground as she was fighting the strong gust of wind and keeping the umbrella upright, he was suddenly awestruck. Fua Lin, his sisters' best friend was actually really beautiful, her face was tiny and her messy bun made her pretty face even more attractive, her thin lips complementing her sharp nose, while her cheeks are a little round and it same goes for her eyes, which can drown you in its depth. Woah, what's suddenly happening to him, his heart suddenly sped up, how can he not notice her before today?

"Gao Chen, help!" Fua Lin couldn't hold it any longer, her arms are really tired from holding the umbrella and the wind was just getting unbearably stronger, and her body was going numb because of the cold. Gao Chen was startled but immediately jumped to help Fua Lin with the umbrella, with their hands touching, Fua Lin suddenly jolted and pulled her hand away, she suddenly felt she was stung or was it electrocuted, she got confused, but she felt the heat on her cheeks.

"Here wear this" Gao Chen offered her his coat, he saw how the girl shivered from the cold.

"No need, thank you. I'm going home anyway." she curtly refused, but what she wanted to do was get away from this man who was starting to look at her in a strange way, and there is this annoying spark like a magnet every time he would get close, oh god, where are you, Gao Quin!

He chuckled, this girl is really feisty, "Suit yourself then," then he continued to stare at the girl.

Feeling conscious about being stared at, she barked back "What are you looking at?" then she examined herself, she didn't see anything wrong, other than she was drenched all over and shivering slightly.

"Nothing.." he answered still smiling which infuriated Fua Lin more by the second, then without warning, he turned towards her and slowly closed the distance between them and said in a quiet voice, "by the way your blouse is see-through now" then he cheekily winked.

Fua Lin panicked and covered her upper body with her arms while landing a kick on Gao Chen's legs. "You pervert! why didn't you say so in the first place!" her face was now bright red from both anger and embarrassment, my goodness, of all people why should it be Gao Chen.

Hahaha, Gao Chen can't help but laugh harder, this girl was so easily tricked, even after the girl kicked her, it was not enough to dampen his mood from teasing her. As a matter of fact, Fua Lin's uniform has not become see through at all, he just said it so that she will no longer protest when he made her wear his coat for the second time.
