Jennifer meets Jayden

"Isn't his name Jayden?" Elina enquired.

"No. He is Aiden and I am damn sure! Ok now! Take rest for some time and then we will discuss the topics for our next exam" Jennifer changed the subject as she was still unsure if she must inform Elina about Aiden and Jayden.

Anyways other than names, she hardly knows anything about them. So she decided to gather some more details before informing Elina.

"Can't we start to study tomorrow? Anyways we have a whole day tomorrow before our next exam starts!!" Elina tried to escape.

"No… We need to start studying from today as there are too many chapters to cover" Jennifer stopped all the escape routes for Elina.

"But..."

"No butts…" Jennifer smacked her butt cheeks and took a blanket to cover Elina.

Then once she was sure that Elina started to breathe steadily, she left the room. She did not know what their future would bring. Right now, she wanted to think of a way to resolve the present issues with Cassie.

Jennifer roamed around the college in search of Cassie but she couldn't find her anywhere. It looks like she had to wait until she came back to the room. Not having the heart to go back and disturb Elina, She decided to roam around for some more time.

She went to the nearby cafe and was shocked to see Jayden sitting on the window seat. The moment she entered, his eyes never left her. Her legs walked towards Jayden and she sat opposite him.

She did not even realize that she forgot to ask his permission before she sat opposite him. Anyways Jayden never minded that. He would even allow her to sit on his lap if she only agrees.

They both stared at each other for some time without having any intention to speak. The waiter stood next to them, asking about their order. But even after shouting for five minutes, he did not receive any response. So, he left the place after he accepted defeat.

"So, how are you?" Jennifer finally broke the silence.

"Was at worst but after looking at you, I feel like I am once again alive?" Jayden said with love flowing from his eyes, no but from his whole body.

He slowly leaned towards her. Jennifer moved back, cautiously.

"Have you decided to tell me the truth?" Jennifer tried to test him.

"What truth? That I love you more than earth… I love you" Jayden dreamingly said.

"No!" Jennifer could not digest his cheekiness anymore.

She just shook her head and got up from where she sat as she understood that he would not tell her anything. Fine by her then! She would just ignore him until he spills the truth out.

"Where are you going?" Jayden held her hand and asked with dissipation.

"Going to that table," Jennifer replied without any expression.

"Why? Why won't you sit with me?" Jayden complained like a kid whose lollipop which he was about to lick was taken away.

"Why should I sit with an unknown person."

"Who is an unknown person? I am your husband."

"How can you be my husband? You are not… My husband went on a mission overseas."

"No, no… How could I leave my beautiful wife and go on a mission? What I said in the morning was just a joke to test you, to see if you will stop me or not!"

Looking at Jayden who was not ready to tell her the truth, she forcefully removed her hand and went to sit on another table. Jayden followed her behind.

"Why are you following me?" Jennifer asked, lifting one of her eyebrows.

"I will follow wherever my wife goes, even if it means hell"

"Look, Mister, I am telling you patiently. Listen carefully for once! I am not your wife and stop following me"

Jennifer moved to another table and sat on it. Jayden looked at her cute behavior and smiled. He once again went near her and this time sat directly next to her.

"What is wrong with you? I am going to yell for help if you do not leave now" Jennifer almost shouted.

Jayden kissed her and said, "I missed you! I love you"

He looked at her affectionately and held her hands. Jennifer pulled her hands away and glared at her.

"If you are my husband, then prove it"

"How?"

"You have to figure it out by yourself"

"Oh! I have our marriage certificate with me. I always carry it along with me, wherever I go." Jayden pulled out their marriage certificate and showed it to her.

"If you kidnap my husband and pretend like him, do you think I will believe you?" Jennifer yelled.

She came near his face and acted like she was trying to pull his mask away. While one of her hands was pinching his face, her other hand pulled his collar a little away and looked at the wound behind his back.

This confirmed that they were actually two people with the same face. She now wanted to know why they were behind her. Whatever reason he gave earlier felt like it was all a lie.

So, she decided to act along with them and find out the truth. For that, she needs to work along with him and now the internship will get her close to Jayden.

The waiter once again came near them and coughed awkwardly.

"Dear customer, this is a cafe and not a hotel room. Please refrain from being intimate in public places. If you both are not going to order anything, we kindly advise you to leave now. Thank you for the understanding"

He bent down and showed them the way out. Jayden got irritated being disturbed when his wife took the initiate to almost hug him. He took his phone and called Derek, his piteous assistant.

"Derek, buy the coffee shop opposite to my wife's college immediately."

Once he ordered what needed to be done, he cut the phone mercilessly. Derek who was now signing a major contract for the company on behalf of his boss left stupefied.

"Gentleman, just give me a few minutes. I will be back and we will carry on with the signing. Sorry for the inconvenience" Derek said and walked out to make calls to do the work assigned by Jayden.

The clients looked at each other and shook their heads. One of them said,

"That's why I was not very confident in signing with this company. Look at the way we were being treated. How dare a mere assistant make us wait when they were the ones who will get the most benefits from this contract."

"Dad, do not forget. Dan internationals have a strong root in this city and if we need to establish a powerful stance on this market, then we will need their help" Amelia tried to cool down her father.

"Mia, if it was not for your compulsion I would never sign a contract with them. What do we lack that we need to come and beg these bastards? Look that guy is not even here and he sent his assistant to handle all his work" Lorenzo complained.
