Cassie gets into trouble

Cassie who just came out of the private bar noticed how deserted that area was. When she came here it was bright and it didn't give any creepy feeling. But now it made her shiver in fear looking at her surroundings.

There was not even a single human on the road and hardly any car passed by. Forget about getting a taxi, she didn't even see any life on that road.

There was still so much time left before midnight when all the celebrities would crash this place after their whole day of stressful work.

The bar was located in such a secluded place that no one would even know such a bar existed in the first place. It's mainly because only celebrities are allowed here as they wanted to protect their privacy.

Cassie decided to go back and ask Tyler to drop her off. But when she went near the gate, she saw two bouncers who were missing when she came out.

"Look, I think she is from the press! Be careful and do not let her sneak in" One of the bouncers whispered into the other's ear.

He nodded and stood stiff.

"Hi, I came with Tyler today. Would you mind if I go in and ask him to drop me off?" Cassie asked politely.

They did not say anything, so Cassie thought they gave their approval through silence. She slowly walked inside but suddenly her collar was grabbed by one of the bouncers. She was thrown out in the middle of the road.

"Do you take us as a fool? We know that you are from the press. There is no entry for the press here. Please look at that signboard"

"I am not from the press. Here, looking at my college ID. I am a student. I really came here with Tyler. To be precise, he brought me here" Cassie tried to explain.

"Look at the way these people are behaving shamelessly. They even made a fake id card" One of the bouncers smirked irritatingly.

"Trust me! This is my original ID card. You can even call my college and check to confirm." Cassie was now almost in tears.

"We do not believe you. If you do not leave now, then please don't blame us for using force. Even our hands are tied and we need to follow the rules here strictly." The other said in a warning tone.

Looking at both the bouncers' body-build, she moved back in despair. They could easily crush her small body. Left with no choice, she started to walk on the pavement. She hoped that she would find a taxi sooner or at least signal on the phone.

She switched on the torchlight and walked for almost two hours. But still, she could not see any main road or even people. At that time, she heard some noise behind the bushes.

She ran like wind without looking back. A bunny hopped out of the bush and started to cross the road leisurely. Cassie felt like she was being chased by an evil man.

Before she could turn around the corner, a car dashed forward and almost hit her. Either because she ran for a long time or because of the scare she got just now, our cute little Cassie fainted on the road once again.

Someone got down from the car and lifted her up. But unlike last time, they put her in the back seat instead of the car's trunk. The car slowly drove away.

When Cassie woke up, she realized she was in an unfamiliar environment. She turned to look around and saw that she was in the hospital. On her left hand, a drip was attached.

She was in a private ward and no one was around. She tried to sit up but felt some pain on her legs. At that time, the door opened and a handsome man entered the room.

"Looks like you are awake! I am sorry, I did not notice you when I made that turn. In fact, I did not expect a beauty queen to be on that lonely road. How are you feeling now?"

"I am fine, I guess! Except for the pain on my leg..." Cassie said slowly.

"Oh! I think you might have sprained your leg a little bit. But do not worry. It is nothing serious! You will be fine if you take bed rest for a couple of days." He said.

"But I have exams the day after tomorrow. So, I definitely can't take a rest now, can I? Why do I feel like I have seen you before somewhere?" Cassie asked while trying hard to recall where she had seen him.

"That is not possible as I do not remember seeing you before!" Alex said.

Alex wanted to take a breather, once his sister left. So he took his SUV for a drive. Little did he expect that he would hit a girl and would make his day even worse.

He was already very familiar with the line Cassie used and that is why he did not introduce himself in the first place. But when Cassie said that she had seen him somewhere, he was now sure that he needed to maintain his distance from her.

Anyways his work is done here. He already paid the bill and took care of the expenses. It was not his fault in the first place. She jumped onto the road without any prior warning.

At first, he thought someone was playing a prank on him. But when he noticed that she actually fainted, he considered it his responsibility to bring her to the hospital.

"Ok, then! I am leaving now! Bye! Take care." Alex said and moved towards the door without even waiting for a response.

When Cassie looked at his back, she suddenly remembered where he saw him.

"Aren't you the guy who works in that coffee shop opposite my college?" Cassie shouted at him.

Alex stopped walking and turned around.

"See I told you, I have seen you somewhere. And now I got it after I saw your back. I used to come along with Jennifer and Elina once in a while at the cafe where you work. We have always mostly seen only your back view, so I remembered it immediately when I saw your back"

Once she said that Cassie realized that a lot of things came out of her mouth without her knowledge. Doesn't she imply that they have been staring at his back and drooling at his handsomeness?

"We were staring at you because you looked handsome…Did I make it even worse?" Cassie now pulled the blanket about her head.

Alex looked at her head which was slightly peeking out and laughed. He felt suddenly relaxed and free of worries.

"It's ok. At least you are truthful. The doctor said you could be discharged already, as there were only minor scratches. If you want I can drop you back to your college if you don't mind." Alex suggested.

"I definitely do not mind" Forgetting the drips was still connected to her hand, Cassie climbed down from the bed.

Thankfully, Alex was faster and stopped her before she could move further away. The drip needle did not come out and create a bloody scene. He then called for the nurse to remove the needle and prepare her discharge papers.

The whole car ride, they both talked and laughed at random things. They did not even realize when they reached Cassie's college. Alex parked the car on one corner.

"Looks like it's time to say good-bye. You look great when you smile, I would like to see you smiling always. Unlike how you always keep a poker face when you work." Cassie complained as she felt like they both had been friends for a long time.

"Oops! Forget it! If I crossed the line once again. Just that I think how much trouble we face, it is always good to wipe it off with a smile. Then we could live a long healthy life. My mom used to tell my brothers this line." Cassie said and got down from the car.

"If your mother said, then we definitely need to follow. I would like to meet such an optimistic person once." Alex stated.
