Disappointments

Flustered by the closeness and new emotions Zoey quickly yelled at Don to ask what had happened.

"Miss the black BMW M2 seems to have a drunk driver, who threw something on the road and changed lanes," Don reported quickly.

"Max take the number down and call the lawyers," Zoey said, trying to calm herself down. Julong moved back to the other side once the road was smooth again.

"As I was saying, it would be better for you to not know the reason. Do you have any more questions to ask?" Zoey asked as she closed her eyes.

"That would be all." He said, turning to look outside the window.

That night neither of the two could sleep peacefully. The thought of why Zoey brought him back lingered in her mind, while the thought of why he wanted to stay there lingered in Julongs mind.

The next day Zoey was up and ready by eight. She changed into a pair of shorts and a tank top as she listened to Max's report on their shipments.

"Those are all the shipments we had from Old Lin," Max said hold out a pair of heels.

Zoey put them on as Max held out a trench coat for her while asking, "They are in their positions right?"

Max held the door out while replying, "Yes Miss, we should be there before 10:30."

"Good," Zoey said, continuing as they walked towards the car, "Who is going to attend?"

"All shareholders were bought back like you instructed and will be in their seats before you arrived today," Max said going to the driver's side as Zoey got in while Don held the door open.

"You know I don't like disappointments, right?" Zoey asked as she reached for the gun under her seat.

"Yes, Miss," Max replied thinking of the events that happened less than 12 hours ago.

The two drunk men with a bullet each on the center of their hearts as their life ended within minutes. Max and Don had seen her kill often yet every time it felt as if it was the first.

She shot now without even a single glance right at the center, and they tossed the bodies in the car as she walked away.

The car was found a month later with two dead bodies that barely held any meat on the bones mostly eaten away by wildlife.

It was 10:15 when the car was parked at the hotel. Zoey walked out as Don on the left and Max on the right followed behind her.

Their aura seemed dark and murderous as they entered the meeting hall. Zoey sat down on her seat at the front of the tables all eyes on her. She clapped once and the meeting had begun.

Don went over all the highlighted materials and the plans for the upcoming year. Once he was done Zoey got up she walked towards the board.

She clapped and the screen had changed, she started talking, "This is the building you all are inside of right now. You have been bought here regarding this building." She pointed towards the next picture.

It was a blueprint of another hotel and a picture of a mountain. "This is the place owned by one of the shareholders located here and I would like to take this land. Now tell me does anyone have any problems with this."
