Betty looked startled for a moment, what could she say? What did he want to know? Is it Jeffery? Betty asked tentatively. She recalled him being displeased after coming back from the restaurant, presumably because of the event they encountered with Jeffery and Rita.

Benjamin answered with a light "yes". Betty bit down on her lip, she is Benjamin's wife in name and he is not an ordinary man to avoid causing unnecessary conflict, she owes him an explanation. The surroundings were very dark. Betty could not see his facial expression clearly, this seemed to give betty the courage to face her fears.

" Thank you soo much for helping me today, I'm sorry to have involved you in such a mess" I should have made it clear to you before we got married, but.... I didn't now how to explain it since I was confused. Jeffery was my ex-boyfriend, we have been together for three years, he helped me alot when I was still in college.

"Few months ago, I had a job which took me to a very remote location, so I had no signal and could not contact him for a few months. When I came back he started acting strange. He didn't have time for me anymore, I started suspecting that maybe he's seeing someone else, until I saw him in bed with another woman.

Betty's speaking volume gradually turned down as she went out. She did not have that confidence to believe that Benjamin would accept her past. She thought in her head, and if he wants to end the deal she can take it, all she will have to do is raise money herself to get her house.

"You loved him very much? A deep male voice echoed in the dark room. Betty froze for a moment, then said "yes Jeffery was my first love". He wasnt like this, he changed after I returned from the job. I only tried to know what I did wrong, but when I caught him red-handed with that woman he threatened me.

No one likes listening to his woman talks about her former lover, Benjamin face was hidden in the dark. Betty did not see the temperature of his eyes dropping, there was nothing but silence. "Now you're my wife" Benjamin said.

As expected Benjamin's mind was on Jeffery. What happened today at the restaurant must have belittled him, and now he going to reconsider the aggrement.

Betty's heart sank, she spoke bitterly, if you want to end the deal, I.... As Betty spoke, she stepped forward unintentionally. Suddenly she felt her face touching a warm body, a steady, powerful heartbeat ponder in her ears, and it was his chest. Betty's eyes widened, wasn't he standing at the window? When did he walk over here?

Did I ever say I want to end the deal? Huh? The voice-over Betty's head was deep and charming as if he was by her ears, she sensed enchantments in the pitch dark night. But she seemed a little flustered "I.....i may not be suitable to be your wife" when she spoke Benjamin felt the fresh breath sprays in his chest.

His hands touch her waist gently "No, you're the most suitable person" though his voice always had a cold tone to it, at this moment it sounded gentle. Betty felt the warmth passing through his large hands "why?

The big hand wavered on her waist, betty was thinking about what he just said and forgot to resist.

"Don't you think my family would be happy I got a wife as beautiful as you"? he looked down and spread his warm breath on her forehead, the smell of the male hormone made her blush at once she pushed him away "I get it, good....... good night".

Betty run away straight after she finished the sentence Benjamin did not stop her he feared that a part of his body has risen if he touched her body again he was not sure whether he will lose control and frighten her. In fact everything betty just told him about Jeffrey he had already known including thing she hasn't told him.

How could he possibly marry a random woman? not resenting her touch was just one of the many reasons that made him choose her. More importantly she was indeed the most suitable for him by the information he found, she just happened to fit his appetites.

Not only could he accept her touch he utterly desired her touch, her tenderness, her sweet taste. In front of others he could be a cold blooded King but once facing her, he experienced the devastating attraction.

Something in a heart seemed to have sprouted, but she did not think profoundly and even avoid it she doesn't need intimacy , what happened with Jeffrey had made her utterly disappointed in love. All she wanted was to live well that's what she promised her parents.

As for Benjamin, as he said it was because of his grandpa that he had to get married. When the deal terminate they will never meet again. Afterall they are from different world what she needs to do now is to get her family house back and punish that has shameless uncle.

As Betty poundered in her head, she took two deep breath and calm down. She set the alarm for work tomorrow close her eyes and fell asleep.
