In The Cafeteria

When they reached the office, they entered the lift together. Betty invited stares from the employees. Benjamin found some men ogling at her, so he just came and stood right in front of her to obstruct them from seeing her.

They reached the floor and walked out together. They were walking while talking to each other so comfortably that onlookers couldn't help but think that they have extremely good chemistry between them and looked perfect together.

While benjamim went to his office Betty went to her office desks she had a lot of work to do. As soon as she switched on her computer and logged on to the company's site she saw the notice that Clara had been fired from the company with immediate effect. Surprised at this development betty tried to find the reason in the notice, but there was none.

"Oh, so you have seen the notice" said someone from behind making her jump in the seat. It was Rita, she was leaning against the cubicle wall "you are such a Gillian Betty! You went and complained to the CEO that she has sabotaged your files why it was you who did it. Just a few days in the office and your mind worked overtime. Poor Clara didn't even get a chance to plead, but I will not sit quietly. I will let the CEO know about your evil plans, I will tell him that it was you who had damaged the file on the baby boo project then we will see how nicely he kicks you out of the company and get Clara back.

Betty listened to Rita's venomous words quietly and then said "be careful of what you're accusing me of, how do you know that the file of the baby boo project was missing? And why are you connecting it with Clara? Who gave you all this information? Tell me now as I have to talk to that person myself I need the proof of the accusation you just flashed on me.

Rita was taken aback, in her entire career no one had the guts to talk back at her she thought that betty it is another dumb, beautiful girl that Benjamin was smitten with and that is why he had kept her as his head secretary, she didn't know that betty would ask such intelligent question.

Rita was trapped in her web she had to come out of it so she yelled at her so that others could hear "Betty, you vile? Wait till I expose your truth in front of the CEO, you are maligning the image of old employees in order to gain his attention

Betty rolled her eyes and replied; Rita I don't have time, so go and try your best to expose me. saying that she turned her attention to the computer screen

Rita stomped her foot and went away from there taking the first opportunity out of the conversation showing her others that she had been the victim.

After she had gone betty was glued to her scream for another three hours until it was lunch. She would have missed her lunch when she had a chirpy voice right behind her "Betty I am hungry feed me".

Betty turned sharply to look at Grace and she burst into laughter " Oh my God, how did you get in here? she asked amused as she switched off her computer.

Grace swayed and said "the guard was my friend in high school".

"What? But how can that be possible? Betty was all the more startled at her friend's declaration then she got up and pinched Gracie's cheeks, "tell me about it in details where the hell have you been? your phone has been switched off, let's go and have lunch."

When they reach the cafeteria they saw that Benjamin was also having his lunch there along with other vice president of the company. Camella was obviously there sitting right beside him, it was very quiet in the cafeteria as all the employees were talking in hushed tones, it was rare that they saw the CEO having lunch in cafeteria. What brought him today, that was Thier thoughts.

Grace saw that and said, betty you must go and sit over there. See how that bitch is sitting so close to Mr. Benjamin.

Betty saw the two of them and get eyes met with his. He was staring at her so intensely that she blushed "why would she blush when he looked at her"? She broke the gaze and went to the counter to take her food along with Grace saying "gracie I don't want to go".

As soon as they got their food from the counter they started going to an empty table.

"Mrs Betty, come and sit with us" he demanded leaving her no chance to escape. Betty turned to look with wide eyes she saw that everyone else in the cafeteria was looking at her.
