My Fucked Up World Traveling System

Status: Indefinite Hiatus. We live in a world where monsters dominate the earth, causing humans to be pushed into small colonies that are barely thriving, unable to fight back with our useless weaponry. But once we were on the brink of extinction, people began obtaining magic systems, which allowed us to push back and gain some of the lost land we had once. … Three years later, in a small house on the outskirts of the New York safe zone, lived a 15-year-old boy named Alex with his aunt and uncle, since his parents were killed in a siege of monsters three years ago. Today, Alex would be awakening his system, which would allow him to become an adventurer to fight in the dungeons or the monsters in the wilderness. … They soon arrived at the ceremony, and it started shortly after with hundreds of young men and women awakening their systems with their families watching. Eventually, it became Alex’s turn, and he stepped up to the awakening stone and pressed his hand against it. How?

***

In another wooden house was an ogre. He had a better appearance than the ogre that Aurora had killed, but not by much.

He had a large potbelly with large brown moles all over his body. His nose was large to the point where it didn't fit his head that well. The only thing he wore was a loincloth that covered his lower regions.

Bang!

He heard a loud sound. It sounded similar to a gunshot coming from the east.

'Did Kiakuhr get into a fight? Let's go see.' The ogre grinned. He was eager to see a fight.

Grabbing a large wooden mace that had metal spikes at the top, he left his house. Outside of his house, he found that all the other ogres had gathered outside. Each held onto the weapons they specialized in.

They all stood outside Kiakuhr's house, their weapons resting on their shoulders.

"Can we go in?"

"The fight will end before we even get to see it."

All of them kept commenting on their desire to see the fight. They were eager to see who chose to fight Kiakuhr. He was considered one of the strongest at this outpost, so naturally this would interest them.

"Silence!" A powerful man's voice was heard.

All the ogres turned to see the newcomer. It was another ogre, but he looked far less ugly than the others. He still had the signature green skin and the large teeth, along with a tall figure. His figure was much taller and more muscular than the others, standing a foot higher than the others—his clothes were a luxury if you compared them to the other ogres.

This ogre wasn't any ordinary ogre. He was an Ogre Lord named Eoruk. A B-ranked monster that was many leagues above the other ogres, who were C-ranked.

"We'll enter together and figure out what occurred. Until then, I don't want to hear any rowdiness from you."

They all remained silent—they were in the presence of someone who outranked all of them in strength and authority. They didn't have the power to refute.

Seeing that they all remained silent, Eoruk nodded, a smile forming on his face. "Good."

He appreciated their obedience.

"Zoxog, you are the closest. You enter first. The rest of you follow after him. And remember, don't push each other, we're not children after all."

His last remark stirred anger in the hearts of the ogres, but they still didn't refute or even attack in anger. If they attacked, they would be six feet under before their attack could hit.

Not wasting anymore time, Zoxog, the closest ogre to the door, entered—this was followed by the others entering in a single file line.

They searched through the first few rooms that were near the entrance. Finding nothing noteworthy, they searched the rooms further into the house.

When one of the ogres entered the bedroom, their faces turned to shock and horror. What was found was a bloodied corpse. Murder was very rare in the outpost, so finding a body killed in such a matter sent shock and fear throughout his body.

"I found... Kiakuhr!" The ogre called out so that everyone could hear him.

Soon, he heard the footsteps of twenty ogres walking away and entered the bedroom he was in. As they walked in, they looked over at the closet, where Kiakuhr's body was.

Eoruk maneuvered through the crowd of ogres and crouched down next to Kiakuhr. He quickly did a short autopsy on the body to figure out a few things: the cause of death and the time that he died.

Soon, he finished his autopsy and stood up.

"He died from a puncture to the heart by a thrusting weapon. As for when he died, it was several minutes before we arrived," He sighed, "There is a high likelihood that the killer is still here."

"If the killer is still here, then why can't we sense them?" An ogre questioned—this question rang throughout the minds of the others.

Shaking his head in disappointment of their stupidity, he said, "We can't sense the killer because they are hiding themselves using a skill, making them imperceptible to us."

Unbeknownst to them, ever since they entered, the room had gradually begun to decline in temperature, but the declination was so slow that it went unnoticed by the ogres.

By the time they had noticed, the floor had turned to ice and was beginning to climb up the legs of the ogres. The speed of the ice increased as it killed every nerve cell in their legs. It didn't take that long for eight of them to die.

"Everyone, it seems our opponent is between levels eighty and ninety. The ice only kills those with lower levels than the killer."

He had come to this conclusion from the ones who died and the ones that didn't. Piecing it together, he easily found the killer's skill limitation.

"Good job... You discovered my limitation." A clapping sound reverberated throughout the room. "But that still doesn't change much."

'A woman? The killer is a woman?'

Aurrr!

Aurrr..

Eight Ogres roared loudly. They clutched their chests as they fell down, coughing out blood. Blood flowed down their backs from the hole left in their hearts. They didn't last much longer, dying shortly after with their hearts crushed like how Kiakuhr was.

Thud!

Thud!

Eoruk turned to face where the sound had come from. As soon as his eyes landed on the cause of the sound, his eyes widened from shock. The last twelve ogres had fallen from being frozen to death like the first eight.

In a matter of a seconds, he was the only ogre left alive.

'How...? How is she gaining levels so quickly?"
