rumours had it that the ceo of the golden rock was a devil,kasper was famous for his reputation and all girls didn't care if the rumours were true as they wanted to be on his bed.

mari finished packing her hair as she sighed,she just found out that the company she was employed was owned by a mafia Don who ruled the underworld;she feared for her family to learn this fact.

today was another day,she took her things before leaving for the office with a heavy heart.

kasper sitted on his chair checking the time as his aura got colder each seconds,he felt so angry that he kept breaking the pencils on his desk;his phone rang and he picked it up after seeing the caller ID.

"big bro,i can't wait to come back to the country",the male voice said from the other line;kas felt an headache coming knowing the type of brother he had.

"what of the assignment",he changed the topic not knowing when someone entered his office.

"i did it alright,the gang are in this country and i will have to take care of somethings",kas smirked as he spoke in a very cold voice which no one had ever heard before;"Good".

mari had just entered the room froze listening to the conversation,she didn't know maybe she should inform him that she was around;she shivered upon hearing his voice.

she made a sound which made kas turned around,their eyes met and she swallowed;he looked so freaking handsome that she couldn't take her eyes off.

"i am sorry for eavesdropping",she said almost a whisper;kas's aura dissipated as he stared at her.

her angelic face was calling him to her,her grey coloured eyes made her more beautiful;kas cleared his throat before returning to his cold form.

"don't worry,you won't understand as i won't want to hurt a beauty like you",he said with a devilish smile;mari swallowed her saliva feeling the heat in the room and praying silently for a miracle to happen.

Tim opened the door with a smile,"boss,your schedule planner is available now";mari breathed in relief seeing the change in his aura.

"what a cold stone",she muttered silently;she didn't want anything that would put her in jail so she had to find her way out.

a female woman entered the room with a tablet,"sir,your schedule is full for today";she started reading somethings on the tablet before pausing to look at that expressless face.

Tim whispered into his ear before chuckling when he saw a reaction on his face which disappeared immediately,"what are you thinking dummy";he said in a low voice.

"this would be your work assistant mari,you would be escorted to meet your colleagues",Tim said ignoring his question;he would force this two together but he hoped to melt this ice.

"yes sir,i mean Tim",she said with a smile when she remembered their last encounter;kas rolled his eyes before looking at the woman who was still standing there.

"Suzanne,you would now be Tim's assistant since i already have one",he said not looking at her;Suzanne nodded as he was her big boss.

Tim left the room with Suzanne as he had lot of pending work to take care of,mari looked at the tablet in her hand and a notebook and ball pen which was given to her;finally she could do something meaningful.

"Sir,the business contract is about to start and you should be there",kas nodded as he picked his suit before strolling to the door;mari followed after he left the room.

kas entered his car and signalled for the driver to drive,mari kept stealing glances at him;she couldn't believe that she was his assistant.

she had come to know of his shady business but the police weren't make attempt to get hold of him,"boss,why is the police not making an effort to catch you";she subconsciously asked.

kas looked surprised but he still opened his mouth to answer,"maybe i am too powerful to be put behind bars or maybe i keep my underworld business a secret".

kas said clearly her suspicions,he indeed was powerful but he always appear with a mask and a hood which hides his real identity from the world;most rumors didn't carry specific news but he was talked about being the coldhearted and brutal CEO.

"you would need to change that outfit of yours to avoid being noticed",kas said;he didn't want her to be mixed with the dealings of the underworld as her personal life matters.

mari nodded as she put on the hood given to her,she put on the mask and gloves as she looked at him;he was barely recognized as he has took another form.

they got down from the car as he looked around before signal and went in,the place was crowdy and mari clinged unto him for fear of getting lost.

"am sorry boss but i am scared of getting missing",she whispered inhaling his scent;kas felt his body react but he ignored it as he kept moving.

his sharp eyes moved around hoping the other mafia Don wouldn't be here,he felt his shallow breath and frowned when he found his knees weakened;he held her hands tightly.

"boss,is something wrong",mari asked when he straightened up his back again pulling her away from his chest;"keep a little distance and we would be fine".

she nodded following him into the escalator,she felt butterflies in her tummy when he held her hands tightly;she smiled before facing her front.

a few distance from the escalator was a man who smirked,"i never knew you had such a smart ass";he muttered silently.

he watched the two get down from the escalator walking away,he signalled his men to follow;he won't let this opportunity pass him by.

"i would rule the underworld and only me",he said with determination in his eyes;he won't let him grow.

he noticed a female figure with him wearing the same hoodie,he shook his head not believing what he had just seen.

mari kept moving till they got to a spot,"i didn't think you would come";a deep voice spoke up.

kas kept a cold aura,"i couldn't miss the opportunity of getting a new goods";they exchange cold glares before he sat down.

"who is this",mari swallowed when she became the center of attention;"she is my woman".

kas leaned forward with his eyes on her with a gentle gaze,"her name is Madelyn";mari didn't know why but she felt him stiffened.

emotions flashed through his beautiful eyes before he closed them,"let's get this with";he opened his eyes which grew more colder and deadly.

they ordered for a drink,kas drank it in one go as he kept drinking and talking to them;mari didn't take anything since she was not permitted to.

they finally signed the document without reading since they were drunk,kas closed his eyes as he was smelling of alcohol;he was drunk but his eyes were still clear.

"let's go",he said in his hoarse voice;mari flinched when he put his head on her shoulders.

she raised his head before helping him up,"are you still able to walk";kas nodded as she guided him.

he followed her when she stood still,mari felt goosebumps and her mind was screaming danger⛔🚫;kas pulled her hand as he continued walking knowing they wouldn't attack since the place was crowded.

he sent the red alert to his men who immediately guarded them while some stood on standby,"you said that i was your woman,why";mari asked when they were inside the car as she was curious.

kas didn't say a thing but leaned forward,"you liked that,didn't you";his breath sweeping on her face while he caged her between his arms.

"i don't",she said with a frown making kas chuckle;he kept leaning forward taking their masks off.

mari subconsciously closed her eyes waiting for his kiss when she didn't feel anything,she opened her eyes seeing the man staring at her;she looked away in embarrassment.

kas moved away as he dialed a number getting the information he needed,he smiled letting his calm aura take control;"you know you could just tell me if you like being my woman".

mari didn't like the idea of being his woman,how could she love a criminal;no way.

she would never let that happen,she was doing it for the big pay and not for getting mixed with their shady business;"shut up right now".

she yelled as she clenched her fist,she hated how she got into his company;she hated the fact that she couldn't tell her grandfather the work she was doing.

kas looked at her angry face before keeping quiet,he hadn't seen this side of her since they worked together;silence reigned between them.

mari was still fuming with anger when she got to her apartment,she got down without saying goodbye;kas made sure no one followed them.

he couldn't risk her life being in danger,he didn't know who wanted him dead but that person was out there waiting for his doom;the car speed up past the dusty road.

mari dropped her back before falling her long hair,she took a shower and wore her robe;she was eating when a notification popped up on her phone.

mari beamed as she jumped up but realization dawned on her that she had never gave anyone her number before,"maybe it is Timmy who gave it to him";she muttered.

she couldn't believe the luck she had,she would go shopping tomorrow;she began writing what she wanted to do on her to do list.
