Night Turned into Nightmare

When Nivi opened their room door slowly, she witnessed a heartfelt scene: Sushi sleeping peacefully with June beside her.

Upon hearing the door creak, June woke up and realized he had fallen asleep without realizing it. He silently excused himself and gestured to Nivi to not make any noise. He stepped outside to close the door quietly so as not to disturb Sushi.

"It seems you had quite a night. Did you guys make it?" Nivi asked loudly.

"Shhhh, you'll wake her up," June sighed while closing the door.

"Why did you make me drink that much knowing about my trauma? I think I did something to her last night," June vented his anger on Nivi.

"I know, that's why I wanted to use that opportunity to make you guys close," Nivi mentioned.

"Are you mad?" He continued his outburst.

"Did you realize one thing?" Nivi interrupted him.

"What?" June asked.

"Do you remember you met multiple girls to forget about her and get out of your trauma? But you couldn't be with any of them."

"Yeah, that's right," June acknowledged.

"I even took you to a psychol—" Nivi tried to say something, but June cut her off.

"Keep it short, quickly. Sushi might wake up soon," June hurried her.

"After that incident with Chloe, you couldn't sleep with any women due to your phobia until Sushi came back into your life pretending to be Chloe.

You were fine with Sushi when she was pretending to be Chloe because your mind thought that it was Chloe.

But now you know... You know that she is Sushi, not Chloe. How do you feel around her?" Nivi asked.

With the question, June realized, he thought, looking at the beautiful view of the early morning fog hovering outside the penthouse.

"You are right. Even I couldn't figure out what is happening to me. When I am with her, I don't feel any difference. It feels like I am with Chloe. She makes me feel so comfortable like I've known her for a long time, though I've only known her for a couple of months.

He continued expressing, "How many mistakes she has made, those mistakes are not keeping her away from me. I keep on thinking about her.

Initially, I thought I pitied her because of her mom. But later on, I realized it doesn't have anything to do with pity. I am just finding ways to go back to her every time."

June is so confused about his emotions; he's just lost in thought. Sushi woke up and found June was not in the room. She slowly opened the door and came outside, hearing some sounds from outside.

Nivi asked, "Do you love her?"

June was taken aback by the question and tried to maintain his posture.

"Who? Me? Her? No way. I think I slept with her maybe because I felt she has a similar face to Chloe. Not more than anything."

"Figure it out quickly before she leaves," Nivi mentioned.

"By the way, how did you do it? How was she in my room instead of you? Wasn't Huan there with her?" June asked, not knowing the story.

"I hit him and tied him up in the room next to yours," Nivi responded.

"WHAT?" shocked Sushi shouted.

Nivi and June turned upon hearing Sushi's voice and were frightened. They were not sure how much of their conversation she had heard. They were too stunned to say anything and looked at each other in the dark.

Sushi went back in anger and found that the second room was locked. Upon she ran, June and Nivi quickly went inside following her.

"Where is the key?", Sushi stretched her arm pointing to Nivi with anger in her face.

When Nivi looked at June, he nodded to hand over the key to Sushi.

They opened the door and found struggling Huan. June quickly pulled Sushi back and closed her eyes from placing the hand on her eyes. He signalled Nivi to help Huan.

"Clear up the mess you created," June said to Nivi and held Sushi's hand to drag her out.

Nivi went inside removed his tied-up cable and closed the door quickly to give him privacy for getting dressed up.

In seconds, he came outside angrily, he pushed Nivi back to the wall, "How dare you hit me and make me like that?".

"I can understand. I apologize for that. But it was..", Nivi trying to say something.

But Huan is not in a situation to listen, he said, "If you dare to mess with me one more time, you don't wanna face consequences after that". He warned and left angrily.

Upon they came outside, Sushi released June's hand irritatingly.

"Sush..", June is trying to explain something to her but she cuts him off.

"So you were sleeping with me all this time because I look like Chloe", her eyes are red looking straight into his eyes.

June realized that she heard that and was too speechless to answer her question. He wants to say, "No I did that because I was drunk. And whenever I get drunk it goes back to that night and my heart longs for Chloe".

He couldn't say that out because he knew that statement would hurt her even more. But he needs to explain to her to calm her down.

"No Sushi, you misunderstood. That's..", June doesn't know what to say.

"So are you disappointed that I was with you last night instead of Nivi?", she asked again.

"No, that's not true. I can't sleep with any other women due to my Genophobia, you are the first and last person so far", he again can't respond with this answer.

"No Sushi, that's not true. Nivi is my best friend and I do admire her but not in the way you think", he tried to explain to her.

"You know I used to think, if I make more efforts, I thought things would fix between us eventually. But it seems not. 

I used to wonder why you were not believing in me. Why you weren't keeping a tiny trust in me?

It seems like not because of the situation or Huan, but it's because you don't want to."

When June was trying to say something, Sushi shifted her gaze. Huan came in between, "I warned you June to not make Sushi cry. But this time you went overboard. How can you.." 

Upon their talking, Sushi suddenly felt dizzy and fell and got unconscious. 

"Sushi..", June shouted and sat on the floor resting her head on his chest.

"Sushi!!!.. Sushi!..."
