I Will Find You

"Sushii!!!, please answer me....pleaseeee..."

He waded deeper into the water, his heart racing with fear for her safety. But before he could go too far, security personnel arrived and pulled him back to shore.

"Sir, it's not safe to enter the water at this time," they cautioned him. "Let's review the surveillance footage instead to locate madam. We may uncover some clues regarding her whereabouts."

Terrified of what he might find, June raced back to the security office, his heart pounding in his chest as he demanded to see the surveillance footage. As he watched the recordings play out before him, a sinking feeling settled in the pit of his stomach.

Sushi had left the house alone, her figure disappearing into the darkness without a backward glance. With a heavy heart, June realized the extent of her despair, the depth of her pain driving her to such desperate measures.

As the weight of his actions crashed down on him, June felt the crushing weight of guilt bear down upon his shoulders.

With tears streaming down his cheeks, he vowed to do whatever it took to find Sushi and bring her back safely, praying with every fiber of his being that it wasn't too late.

With a mind clouded with worry, June left the guest house, the weight of uncertainty pressing down on him like a suffocating blanket. He hurried to their home, desperate to find any trace of Sushi, but the house stood empty too, devoid of her presence.

Panic threatened to overwhelm him as he realized he had no idea where she could have gone. Every corner of their home felt hauntingly empty.

Frustration gnawed at him as he wracked his brain for any clue that might lead him to her. And then, like a bolt of lightning, it struck him – Huan, Sushi's best friend.

Without hesitation, June dialed Huan's number, his fingers trembling with urgency as he prayed for a glimmer of hope.

When Huan answered, June's voice cracked with desperation, "Huan, is Sushi with you by any chance?"

But Huan's response was swift and final – "No why she will be with me at this hour". The weight of his words crashed down on June like a tidal wave, leaving him feeling more lost and helpless than ever before.

"Sushi!!!..... I am sorry... I am sorryyy,,,, please..."

With a sinking heart, June realized he was running out of options. He didn't know where else to look, who else to turn to. All he could do was wait, his mind consumed by the terrifying possibility that he might never see Sushi again.

As the realization dawned upon June, a flicker of hope ignited within him. Sushi might have sought solace with her parents. With renewed determination, he sprang into action, his heart racing with the possibility of finding her safe and sound.

Ignoring the nagging doubts and fears that plagued his mind, June quickly drove to Sushi's parents home.

When he arrived, Sushi's mother's eyes widened in surprise at the unexpected visit.

"June, what happened? You've come so early in the morning. Did Sushi come with you?"

June's heart sank at the question, his throat constricting with the weight of his answer.

"No Mother," he replied, his voice barely above a whisper. "Sushi isn't with me. She asked me to bring her clothes. As we are going to..."

"It's already today," Sushi's mother murmured softly as she ascended the stairs to Sushi's room. "My girl, how many tears will she shed today? How much pain will she bear today?"

June's confusion deepened at her words. "I didn't say anything. What is Mother talking about? Should I ask her? What should I do?" He found himself lost in a whirlwind of thoughts.

"June, can you do me a favor?" Sushi's mother turned to him, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears as she handed him a bag containing clothes.

"When Sushi leaves for SmallTown tonight, please go along with her. Please make sure she eats something. My poor girl, she starves herself to death...."

June's heart clenched at her words. "Why would Sushi go to the SmallTown? What's happening? Why is Mother crying?"

"Don't worry, Mother. I'll take care of her. I'm leaving now. Take care," June assured her, his mind reeling with questions.

He made his way to his car, he opened the bag just to find memorial clothes belonging to Sushi.

A sense of foreboding settled over him as he realized something was terribly wrong. Without hesitation, he dialed Chloe's number, his fingers trembling with urgency.

"Hello?" Chloe's voice.

"Chloe, what's going on? Why is Sushi going to SmallTown today?" June asked urgently.

"Oh, it's today already?" Chloe's worry was palpable. "June, is Sushi with you?"

"No, Chloe. What's happening? I can't find Sushi," June replied, his voice tinged with fear.

"June, listen to me carefully. Go to SmallTown as fast as you can. I'll text you the address. Don't let Sushi out of your sight today and tomorrow. She'll be very unstable today, and she might do something harmful to herself.

I even called her yesterday, and she said she was fine, preparing a surprise for your birthday, I thought she is really okay" Chloe explained.

June's heart pounded in his chest as the pieces of the puzzle fell into place. "Chloe, I'm scared. I think I've made a huge mistake."

"June is her mother's death anniversary, and ever since her passing, Sushi has struggled with PTSD. She blames herself for it every day and lives in constant guilt. She once attempted to take her own life.", Chloe worried.

"Sushi has another mother...? And she's suffering from PTSD?" June exclaimed, his shock evident in his voice.
