Bleeding Words

Sushi's heart constricted at his accusation, her hand trembling slightly as she placed the knife aside. Taking a deep breath, she pivoted to meet his gaze, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears.

"I love you, June," she confessed with tears in her eyes. "That's the only reason. I have no excuses or explanations. I just love you."

Sushi's breath caught in her throat as she met his gaze, her own eyes filled with sorrow.

"I wanted to tell you from the very beginning..", her voice trembling with emotion. "But I was scared. Scared of hurting you, scared of losing you."

She took a deep breath, her words pouring forth in a torrent of honesty and regret.

"I knew you, I knew June that you loved Chloe,". She contintued, "But there was no other option. Chloe had someone else in her life. I didn't want to be the one to break your heart."

June's eyes widened in realization as her words sank in, the pieces of the puzzle finally falling into place.

"Do you think you haven't shattered me enough already?" June's voice rose with a mixture of anger and pain, his words cutting through the night air.

"If Chloe loves another man, you should have told me. I deserved to make my own decisions about who I share my life with. Instead, you made that choice for me, dragging me into this nightmare without my consent. Who are you to decide that for me?"

His accusations hung heavy in the air, echoing off the distant waves crashing against the shore. Sushi's heart clenched at his words, the weight of his anger crushing her spirit.

"And then there's you," June went on, his voice quivering with emotion. "One day, you were there beside me, spending time with me, sharing my bed. The next morning, I wake up, and it's like you're a total stranger. I didn't even know who you were, but now I married you."

His words cut through Sushi like shards of glass, the bitterness in his tone like a venomous sting. With each accusation, their connection seemed to wither, the trust between them unraveling thread by thread beneath the weight of unspoken grievances.

"You have no idea how much I adored Chloe over the years. All my life, she has been everything to me. She is the one person I can truly trust. But now that you've betrayed me, I feel like I'll never be able to love again.

Sushi, you took away my joy. You have taken me for granted. You are untrustworthy, thus I don't see us being together in the future. Every time I look at you, it aches to realize that you are a falsehood. I can't live a lie for the rest of my life, and I don't want to," June said, his voice heaving with pain in every word.

His drunken ramblings continued, "Just disappear from my life. Better yet, vanish from existence." His words hung in the air like a heavy cloud, filling the space between them with the weight of his despair. Sushi's heart shattered into countless pieces, the pain of his rejection cutting deeper and deeper.

As June walked away, leaving her engulfed in darkness, Sushi felt the crushing weight of his words press down on her, suffocating her with the realization that she had lost him forever.

Alone, she sat, tears streaming down her face, her sobs echoing into the night, a symphony of heartache and despair💔💔💔..

Around midnight, June stirred from his slumber, his throat parched and in need of water. He stumbled to the living room and gulped down a glass, the cool liquid soothing his dry throat.

As he drank, the fog of sleep lifted, and the memory of his drunken tirade flooded his mind. Shocked by his own behavior, he felt regret.

"What have I done? What nonsense did I spew?" June muttered to himself. "I hope she's okay."

With a heavy heart, June crept to another room to check on Sushi, hoping to find her safe and sound. But as he opened the door, the room lay empty, devoid of her presence.

Panic surged within him as he searched every nook and cranny of the house, calling out her name in desperation, but she was nowhere to be found.

"Where could she be? Is she still outside? Is she out of her mind?" June fretted, his concern mounting. "It's chilly out there. What if she catches a cold or worse?" Worry gnawed at him, urging him to find her as quickly as possible.

With a sinking feeling in his chest, June rushed outside, his heart pounding with dread.

He scanned the beach walkway, illuminated faintly by the moonlight, but there was no sign of Sushi. Frantically, he called out her name, the sound echoing into the silent night, but received no response.

"Should I call her?" June pondered, his fingers hovering over his phone. With a flicker of hope, he dialed her number, but the sound of ringing seemed to emanate from somewhere nearby.

Confused, he followed the sound until his eyes fell upon a glitching light buried in the sand. As he approached, he realized it was Sushi's mobile phone.

His hands trembled as he stumbled upon Sushi's mobile phone, abandoned on a nearby table. Dread coiled in the pit of his stomach as he realized she had left it behind, a chilling indication of her intentions.

Fear gripped him as he made his way to the edge of the lake, the darkness enveloping him like a suffocating blanket. The water lay still and calm, its surface reflecting the dim glow of the moon overhead.

"Sushi!!!!.....Sushiiii..."

With fear in his eyes, June shouted out Sushi's name into the abyss, his voice echoing across the water.

Feeling a surge of panic, June dashed towards the water, heedless of the cold or the late hour. "Sushi!" he shouted, his voice echoing across the shoreline.

But there was no answer, no sign of her presence anywhere.
