New Guild

Lucas slept like a baby that night, it's been just a day since he escaped the dungeon.

He had plans to go back, defeat the boss monster, save the old man and return to a normal life with his family.

"Hah..."

He looked up to the roof, his blue eyes staring into nothingness as he let his thoughts roam free.

"What is it?" He rose from his bed, eyes alert, his instincts telling him to be vigilant.

"Don't worry, I won't bite." Lily teased from outside his room, she was probably in her demon form.

Lucas shook waved off the thought, he groaned an invitation as he walked up to the door and opened it.

Lily frowned, her eyes fixed on Lucas's pocket as she sniffs.

"Paragon Stone." She walked up to Lucas, with inhuman speed she snatched away the orb then vanished into the room, observing the orb in her hands.

"Wh-?" Lucas blinked, Lily had just disappeared, he put his hand into his pockets and turned.

Lily sat on his bed, his orb held to her face, she was mumbling something in demon language.

"Hey!" Lucas grabbed the orb then retreats to a drawer, he opened the drawer put in the orb then shuts it back.

"Lucas, what in heavens name are you doing with that?" Lily has a interrogative look on her face.

"Master Avarlyn gifted it to me." Lucas answered with his head lowered, he still needed to get back there.

"Do you even have an idea of what that is?" Lily looked as if she was going to tear the whole place down if she didn't get a response.

"No." Lucas replied with a shrug, but he knew that the orb would help him greatly in improving his abilities.

"It's the...You know what, never mind." Lily let out a quick sigh, then, appeared right before Lucas.

Lucas sighed, he wasn't going to argue with a potential goddess in his room, he had other important matters to attend to.

He walked up to his wardrobe, with a wry smile he opened the doors at snail's pace.

Lily glanced back at Lucas in anticipation, she wanted to see his clothing style no matter what.

"Th-That's all you have in your wardrobe?" Lily was shocked by the sight before her, her eyes were narrowed and steam was visibly rising from her head.

"What?" Lucas blinked, he didn't see anything wrong with what was currently in his wardrobe.

In his wardrobe was hung a plain T-shirt, a pair of black jeans, and some boots.

Lily exhaled sharply, letting out steam as she walked out of the room.

"Thanks for the priva..."

Lily slammed the door shut behind her, and then footsteps were heard going down the passage.

Lucas's mouth was still parted, it was as if he was frozen mid-sentence.

He waves everything to the side, his sense of fashion was terrible and so what?

Lucas looked back at his only clothes then let out a sigh.

Lucas and Lily walked towards a new guild were they were going to sign up together.

Lily kept droning on about the heavens, but Lucas was busy processing the past events in his head.

His life had changed since he became a disciple, he was given the privilege to grow faster than any being, not everyone wakes up and after a near death experience gets that.

Lily quickly noticed that Lucas wasn't paying attention to her tales so she slowly gave up.

"Why do we have to join this guild?" Lily asked with curiosity on her face.

"This guild has more high ranked dungeons than the others for one, you can get 50% of your dungeon spoils, and it is known for it's steady levelling system." Lucas elaborated, he had already made some research, and this guild was the best.

Miles away from them was the guild known as The Extreme power acquisition guild.

It was a large as four football stadiums put together, and it was made from the hardest materials to be found on earth.

Lily stood in a daze before the guild, her jaws dropped to the ground as she widened her eyes in shock.

Lucas casually walked up to Lily, then, he patted her on the back as if they weren't standing before one of the largest structures on earth.

"How did you humans build that?!"

Lucas smiled, somehow he felt a bit of pride after seeing how fazed Lily was.

Well, the truth is that after the first human awakened abilities, and the monsters were first discovered.

Humans had been growing rapidly in terms of technology, using the monster cores to power their research, they broke limits.

They now had the ability to temporarily buff their strength or speed, and this has helped greatly in the construction of various wonders.

Lucas looked at Lily as if she was a child getting used to the world.

Lily regained her posture then glanced at Lucas, she had hopes of getting more powerful in a world like this.

She had hopes of becoming Chaos dragon.

Lucas walked ahead, his hands were in his pockets as he approached the guilds guards.

Lily followed suit, she was a bit drawn back at first, but after making up her mind she had nothing to lose, she followed Lucas.
