Alexander

Evelyn walked searched around the house but she couldn't find Kate. She made her way to Kate's bedroom and she found the girl still sleeping with her legs spread nastily on the bed. Evelyn smiled as she walked up to her.

"Wake up, sleepy head!" Evelyn tapped Kate on her ass. Kate hummed, she didn't even open her eyes.

"Kate? You are already LATE for work" Kate eyes were opened brightly as soon she heard the word 'Late'. Kate immediately stood up with a panicking face. She dashed into the bathroom to take her bath and brush her teeth. In some minutes, she was dressed up ready to leave. Evelyn could only laugh at her bestie's attitude.

"At least, comb your messy hair before you leave" Evelyn reminded her. Kate went to the table and took out her comb.

"Kate, I'm going out in search of work today" Evelyn said slowly as she approached Kate. Kate halted in what she was doing as she turned around to look at Evelyn. Kate threw her a questioning look.

"You've never bothered about working, why now?" Kate asked her and Evelyn chuckled.

"Everything I'm doin' is for you, Bestie. I know that very soon, your uncles will come disturbing you and secondly, you salary has reduced drastically. I want to help you out" Evelyn explained and Kate felt guilty. Evelyn is from a rich family but she left her home just to be with her and now, she is willing to work for her. This is just too much!!

"I don't know what I will do without you in my life, Evie. I love you" Kate hugged her tight and Evelyn hugged her back with a smile.

"I love you too, Kate. I will never leave your side. I want us to grow together and if possible, let's die together" Evelyn laughed as she withdrew from the hug.

"Yes, dear. We will die together. I need to leave now.... Bye" Kate pecked her on her lip. Kate bade her goodbye and leave.

"Bye" Evelyn said as she placed her finger on her lip.

Kate walked into the company, walking towards her cabin when she caught sight of other employees leaving the meeting hall.

"Was there a meeting today?" Kate asked herself. Kate shrugged her shoulders as she went to her cabin. She didn't want anything to disrupt her thinking. It was too early for that.

"We missed you in the meeting, Miss Kate" Zamiel walked up to Kate in her cabin. He was holding some files in his hand.

"I didn't know there was a meeting today and besides, I'm not worthy of entry the meeting hall because I'm not in the position to." Kate said casually rather rudely. Zamiel pouted out his devilish red lip as he stare at her.

"I'm sorry for what, Mr Alexander had caused. I'm..." Zamiel was cut off by Alexander.

"And what the hell are you apologizing for." Alexander walked up to the duo with his eyes blazing in anger and curiosity. Kate bowed her head.

"I'm just...." Zamiel tried to speak but Alexander cut him off again.

"I don't like this Zamiel. I'm Alexander and I rule the world. I don't care about what she thinks of me.....she can leave here for all I care" Alexander blurted out in anger. Zamiel breathed out as he stare at Kate who's head was still turned downwards. Her fingers were shaking.

"Alex, don't you think it's a bit mean." Zamiel said lowly as his eyes vigorously stare at Alexander. A frown deepened in Alexander's forehead.

"I'm not mean! It's my rule and by the way....you were a bit late today. Your salary is now reduced with $500 dollars more."Alexander said and a year dropped down from Kate's eyes. Still, she didn't look up at see the cruel man.

"Alexander!!" Zamiel ranged. Alexander remained unfazed.

"Stop shouting my name out like that! You can pay if you want!!" Alexander smirked scornfully as he gazed at the girl before them before he finally left. Zamiel tucker his hand in his pocket. He didn't know what to do anymore.

"You can leave now" Kate tearily said. Zamiel's eyes was filled with pity. He didn't want to implicate the issues, he just have to obey her and leave her presence. Kate threw herself on her chair as she bit her lower lip. Employees stared at her with pity eyes but some were happy with what she was facing.

Kate was a strict CEO to them during her regime so she didn't expect any kind attitude towards them now that she is in the same position as them.

"What's with you, Alexander!? What has that girl ever done to you?" Zamiel stormed into Alexander's office.

"Why Zamiel? Since when have you start to show concern about humans?" Alexander questioned him and Zamiel breathed out.

"I'm not wicked, Alexander. I just feel for her. You being way to cruel to her! She's just a fragile human. She can't tolerate all this for too long" Zamiel reasoned but Alexander played with the pen he was holding.

"She's really fragile but she has provoked me and secondly, I want her to leave this company.... that's all I want!" Alexander said and Zamiel got him a glare.

"You very well know that this company will close down without her. All our clients only wants her and they only agree to do business with us because of her presence. This company will be a broke ass if she leaves this company!" Zamiel shot at him. Alexander menacingly stared at Zamiel as he inspected every word that he said. His eyes squinted around searching for words to say but he came up with nothing. His gaze averted to Zamiel who was intensely looking at him.

"You want her to stay?" Alexander started and Zamiel looked confused.

"I don't want her to stay. She must stay!" Zamiel vocalized and Alexander grinned.

"My business here with you is over. I'm busy" Zamiel itched his hair as he left his office, slamming the door behind.
