Chapter 28 STAY

MICHELLE's P O V

I went back to the dorm with Devon only accompanying me, with my head still throbbing but not as much as it had this morning. As he helped me sit down on my bed, I grabbed his wrist, and stopped him from leaving the room. He told me on our way here that he had a training at five in the afternoon, and it was already forty after four.

‘‘I have to tell you something…’’ I started as he stared at me with a questioning look. ‘‘This won’t take long…’’

He nodded, stepping back, and placing my bagbook on the desk.

‘‘What is it?’’ he asked, glancing at the clock that was sitting on the desk, before sitting down beside me on my bed with his arms crossed over his chest.

I hesitated to speak for a while, his intense gaze was making me hard to breathe. ‘‘I… I’m leaving…’’ I announced, my eyes lowered down on my lap, while my fingers fiddled with the hem of my dress shirt. ‘‘I don’t want you and your friends to feel like you have to babysit me—’’
