Dealing With The Patient's Father

Hearing loud noises, Han walked down the stairs, wondering what was happening.

A few seconds later, as he arrived in the waiting area, Ellan and Blade went silent. Blade had given up explaining to the father how great of a physician Han was, but the father wouldn't budge.

Han was amused at the sight he walked in on. 'Looks like he's sane now,' he thought, seeing the father throwing a tantrum.

Noticing the young man with the white coat, Ellan assumed that Han was the physician making him even angrier. He knew youngsters liked to play around with his daughter. And even if the boy In front of him was a physician, he was a quack; look how young he is!

"What did you do with my daughter? If I get no answer then I'm going to go straight to my master and ask him to teach you guys a lesson", Ellan demanded an answer.

"You brought her to the clinic to get treated, didn't you?" said Han shutting the man up.

Ellan was confused; what does he mean I brought her here?

"I just treated her since you pleaded with me. Anyways, she's safe now", said Han.

Ellan got even more confused hearing what Han said, "W-what do you mean she's cured? That's impossible! How did you cure her? How can you?".

'This is getting…annoying', thought Han seeing Ellan's reactions. "It sounds like to me you didn't want her to get treated."

"How dare you say that? I-I'm her father, I love her dearly…" replied Ellan justifying his actions.

[***WARNING***]

[Host, I advise you not to push any further. If the patient or her family leaves the clinic unsatisfied, then I will have to deduct a star from you]

Han immediately decided not to provoke him any further. 'I was only doing it because he's so annoying, with all his complaints…', he thought, sighing.

[If the Host ever faces a physical attack, I will deal with it, but the Host still has to be within limits regarding your behavior].

Han nodded. 'I don't know what those stars are for but it's better to save them for the future'.

Sophie's imaginary head sighed in relief, seeing the Host didn't make a stupid decision.

"Do you want to see her or not? She's healthy and will recover in 1-2 weeks", explained Han.

The more Ellan heard that his daughter had been cured, the more he knew it was a miracle since he didn't expect the alchemists to heal her.

Ellan nodded; he wasn't prepared to look his daughter in the eye anymore after seeing the metal shard in her chest. He had been traumatized; just remembering the blood oozing from her chest sent shivers down his body.

Agreeing, Han escorted Ellan to the 2nd floor. Han saw Blade coming along with them as they were about to go. He scoffed, not knowing how shameless Blade was, "Stay here! You're not allowed to go to the 2nd floor ever again!".

Blade heard this and stopped. He bowed toward Han and left to do his gardening.

Ellan wondered if Blade did anything wrong; he looked upstanding.

Both arrived on the 2nd floor; Ellan cried seeing his daughter cleaned, having no trace of blood, and sleeping peacefully.

Ellan walked up to her and caressed her lovingly.

Han sat to the side, giving him time alone. 'He doesn't look like a trashy father, but his personality says otherwise,' he thought, glimpsing at the scene.

As he was waiting, Han decided to look at his status.

'Damn, I have a lot of unallocated stats for use right now! Though it's tempting I think I'll save it for later like those main characters in Mangas, they're always onto something…6 more levels to go until I reach the unprecedented level 10, I can't wait till the shop opens', thought Han analyzing his status.

He scrolled down and noticed something surprising; The General Medicine had risen by 5 points! And Surgery had increased by 1! Though he wondered why? And he didn't feel anything different.

[Host, as I have said before, you have an affinity with general medicine. That's why you can raise the percentage faster but trust me; it won't be this easy with the other specializations.]

Han nodded, and on second thought, he felt his mind scope had gotten more expansive; for example, he could memorize things quickly. 'This ability would have been awesome when I was back in medical school,' he sighs, regretfully shaking his head.

After 1 hour, Ellan decided to find the physician as he had to apologize for his rudeness, and he couldn't believe such a genius existed…

Ellan smiled awkwardly, catching Han swiping in the air and thinking, 'I guess geniuses have quirks.' He coughed, getting Han's attention.

Han swiped the system panel away, noticing Ellan. "So, are you done?" he inquired.

Ellan nodded and bowed, "I have been exceptionally rude to you, and I cannot forget this favor, what you have done for me is----. "

Han interrupted Ellan, "Wait, there's no need to bow. After all, you agreed to pay for her treatment".

Ellan stiffened as he had forgotten about this…. After getting the reminder, he said, "Yes, please give me the full cost, and I will pay it off in one go."

"Sure, you can pay it off in one go?" Han questioned.

Ellan nodded; This clinic does look expensive, but how high could it be? After all, I'm an herbalist; I can afford this much luxury.

"Materials used- 15 silver coins, After Care- 10 silver coins, and my service- 20 silver coins. Overall, you need to pay 45 silver coins", said Han reading off the system panel.

"I think I didn't hear correctly; you mean 45 bronze coins, right? Not Silver coins", questioned Ellan.

"No, I mean 45 silver coins. You don't have to pay in silver coins instead, you can provide me with items that are worth 45 silver coins just a reminder don't you dare try to scam me with faulty stuff. If you do then, don't think of being treated by me ever again", warned Han. 'I will obliterate anyone who tries to scam me again!'.

There was an awkward silence between them.

"As I said before, your daughter needs to stay here for 1 week for Care. So, you have to hand in the money in 2 days or else she can't stay", informed Han as he went downstairs, leaving Ellan in thought.

'Now, let's go deal with that horny bastard!' thought Han as he went downstairs. He got angrier the more that memory flashed in his mind.
