Chapter 45: Blessing

Clara’s POV

I cannot believe that I am pregnant. “You should have told me,” I said to Angeline.

“I love surprises,” Angeline giggles in my head. I smiled at her and looked out the window. After Erik told me what had happened, I rested for more hours; now it was lunch.

My stomach growled, and I laughed. I touched my belly and whispered. “Are you hungry little one? Me too”

I got out of bed and entered the bathroom. Erik waited for me to sleep before returning to his office. They were tracking Klaus down, and I heard Ian was blaming himself when I lost consciousness. I should talk to him, but I know that everyone knows already.

After taking a shower, I wore a simple dress and some flats. I left the room and headed to Erik’s office. I knocked, but no one answered, so I entered, but no one was there, and the office was empty.

“Where are you?” I mind-linked Erik.
