Chapter 4: Demon

No! No!! No!!! If only I had a holy weapon, if only I had noticed, if only I had been stronger and now... I couldn't protect them, I couldn't protect them from Death.

"Link! Teri! Danga! Get up!!"

. . . . They are dead and before me, standing taller than a building is a demon with a wide and sinister grin on its face as it observes my pitiful experience.

It's appearance is that of a giant with red skin, long razor sharp claws, flesh-ripping teeth and fangs, big double horns and a long pointy tail. The demon looks alot like the one in movies but seeing it face to face in 'real life' makes it a whole lot terrifying but how did this come to pass.

It's almost like my mind went blank seeing my friends die from one attack, only I surviving because of my infinite health cheat.

"Erm, Satou let me have this one"

Yeah, I have been hearing that alot ever since I kept 'ultrakilling' every beast with a single blow. At first, it was fun massacring the monsters, no mercy included but soon it got boring with my one punch FIGHTS so my friends starting volunteering to fight which I allowed.

We have been collecting all the beast cores by the help of Danga, hahaha! and now we have more than we can even carry. My friends don't understand the logic of how I recovered with an overpowered superpower but they don't complain anyway.

I have steadily been gaining experience points from monster farming but just like all systems, it is getting harder to level up

Josh asked griping his weapon while we all nod in reply and went onward, into the end, into our doom.

Immediately we entered, on sight the demon attacked us as if expecting us instantly killing my friends and greatly injuring me which had healed.

"I've been expecting you"

Oh the demon can speak with a scary deep voice but I'll show it what's really scary. It must pay! 2356794

I air punch from this distance with all the strength I can muster, shit! I couldn't control the power well so I missed.

"Ahhhhhhh!!! My arm!"

Hahaha! it still grazed it but not enough, it hasn't felt enough pain!

"How dare you?!"

Ah! What the?! My stomach! Shit! Where did this thorn even come from, must be the demon.

"Ahhhhhhh!!"

I dragged out the over-sized thorn and tossed it to the floor. My health is depleting 5152567

"Infinite health cheat code inputted"

Now I can heal

"What! You can both heal quickly and have monstrous strength"

"Now this is going to be fun"

The demon said, a weird evil grin on its face.

"New quest: Defeat the plant-type demon.

Reward: ???"

Not the right time to prompt me system because the demon is firing hundreds or maybe thousands of thorns from its body. Should I input infinite strength cheat code and air punch? no that's too risky. Some thorns might get past my air punch, I need to survive and avenge my friends

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!"

Dammit! It hurts so bad that I actually feel better dieing

Why is the demon laughing? Maybe it thinks am dead, I can hardly think anymore, maybe I should just play dead and wait for it to go . . . .

No! I'm fighting for vengeance of my friends!

"Huh?"

I rise up from the floor slowly like a boss, thorns stick out of my body like I'm a porcupine but it didn't matter as I grinned at the demon and said

"Let's do this!"

"I don't know how you found out or when you found out but what I want to know is what you are going to do about it, are you going to remove me from the group for fear of incapability of my protection? Are you going to treat me like a god? Are you going to use me for your personal gains like everyone else? Are you?!"

"Wha?! Why did you slap me, Danga?"

"You think you're all mighty and important, right? Then let me tell you something, you're not important, you're not one in a million as people tell you. Satou . . . . Prince or not, we won't treat you any different because we are friends not based on background but on who we truly are, I want you to never forget that or I'll drill it into your skull if I have too!"
