[Timeline: Day before the Fall of Tepes Vampire faction]

"Where am I?" Kasumi questioned herself as she woke up with a blurry vision.

Her eyes traced the room around her and stopped at a window.

"This is...the Barbatos Household in the overworld?" Kasumi questioned herself as she recognized the view but not the room.

"So you are finally awake," Sara said as she entered the room carrying a basket of fruits.

"Sara! what happened? the last thing I remember was facing against Arakan-sama" Kasumi suddenly yelled as she tried to stand up.

"aaakkhhh-" Kasumi let out a slight moan of pain as she returned to her previous position.

"What happened there?" Kasumi asked desperately for answers to the situation.

"After the completely one-sided victory against the factions leaders of the Biblical faction that included Sirzechs, Serafall, Michael, and Azazel"

" Arakan-sama declared himself as the true leader of the entire faction, then with the help of Gremory's bishop he healed the leaders to some degree"

"He then made Grayfia-san take the position of the Levithan in the underworld and personally took over the Fallen Angels"

"From the rumors, I have come to notice..."

"he..."

"He what?" Kasumi asked as she held Sara's shoulders ignoring the pain in her body.

"He somehow gained the approval of the angels as well, he is now regarded as the second coming of God however this information is only rumors and there is no confirmation," Sara said as she updated Kasumi on the current situation.

"So, Arakan-sama has taken over the entire Biblical faction already..." Kasumi muttered as she bit her thumb.

"Indeed I have even heard his next target is the Valhalla" Sara said as she sat on the chair beside Kasumi's bed.

*Knock* *Knock*

"Some else is staying within the mansion?" Kasumi asked slightly confused.

"It's the Gremory and the Sitiri heirs and their peerage, I allowed them as long as they helped me look after you" Sara responded as Rias entered the room with some food.

"Rias-taicho, can we enter as well?" Issei asked as he opened the door to the room slightly.

"You all can," Kasumi said as Issei with the rest of Rias's peerage entered.

"what do you want to ask?" Kasumi said surprizing Issei.

"It is written all over your faces ask away little lizard emperor" Kasumi stated.

"Why...why is Arakan doing all this? and why are you still chasing to correct his doings," Issei asked straightforwardly.

"Despite what he shows to the world Arakan is still a teenager who barely entered the age of Eighteen"

"Regardless of the knowledge of the world, his heart has yet to mature to forget, forgive and move forward. "

"Having lost two of his friends killed he is at his darkest hour and hour if we do not end early will turn into an eternity of sorry and guilt"

"Before I joined Arakan-sama I was trapped in a seal with nothing to interact with. Just sitting still with no purpose"

"My Dragonic vitality kept me going as I kept on trying my best to break free from it"

"He saved me when I needed to be saved the most and it is now my obligation to repay the debt" Kasumi responded.

"Ne captain~ I never asked you but why are we taking over the world?" Hanma asked as the two of them walked the road of Romania.

"You know Hanma, you may not know this but after Iza-chin and Kaku-chan you are the guy I trust the most"

"Oh~ what an honor," Hanma said with a grin on his face.

"Everyone around me had an obligation that they wanted to follow me for"

"Grayfia promised someone in Barbatos family to raise me and keep me company, Kasumi feels that she has a gratitude or a debt that she needs to repay me"

"Sara is similar to Kasumi and feels like she too needs to help me out since I helped her out consider it like an equivalent exchange matter"

"However...Iza-chin and Kaku-chan were different they repaid their debt the moment they stood up for me despite their conditions"

"Despite being greatly outnumbered and being brutally beaten they never gave my whereabouts or any sort of information for the matter"

"They didn't expect my help nor did they call out for it, they were ready to die in the name of it"

"That is why...both of them would be my most precious friends," Arakan said as he moved Hanma's hand a little to see the skies and clouds above.

"Wait where do I come into the picture then?" Hanma asked a little curious.

"You feed off malice around you, you like seeing people in pain and you get excitement out of fights"

"You are a simple man Hanma, a simple man enjoying his life," Arakan said as he patted Hanma's shoulder.

"that still doesn't count in the world domination factor ya know" Hanma stated.

"But what exactly are Arakan's goals here?" Issei questioned now rather sympathetic at Arakan.

"I am not sure completely...however if I have to make a guess"

"Arakan for his whole trained himself to be the strongest and believed that he was invincible we did too"

"However after the loss of Izana and Kakucho, he must have realized his weakness and that was sadness"

"He must be thinking that by pushing everything aside he would be able to overcome his emotions"

"That is why he pushing me and Sara away and surrounding himself with people like Hanma who have no other job but to enjoy the chaos and pain of others around him" Kasumi responded as everyone in the room got into deep thoughts.

"However it still doesn't explain why he destroyed the old school building and killed most of the people inside?" Issei asked.

During the aftermath of the Biblical faction leaders facing defeat, Issei was able to meet his patients who by a miracle managed to survive all the destruction around them.

While they had most of their limbs missing and were covered in injuries it was nothing Asia's Twilight Healing couldn't heal.

" The strike was most likely aimed to kill me...however, he was unable to bring his heart to kill me or Sara which is why he kept on sparing us"

" Somewhere deep inside his heart is still the light of a guy who just wants to fight and enjoy life with no worries, " Kasumi said with confidence as she clenched her fists tightly.

"and I will bring him back to his senses no matter what"
