Sitting in the class 1-S viewing booth, Kenjiki had a weird expression seeing the result of the fight that had just finished.

"Aren't those fights too comical?" Kenjiki was baffled after watching the last two fights.

Where the first was finished in less than a second. Because a halfie-boy just blasted his ice quirk at full power, covering half of the stadium in ice.

Meanwhile, that fight just now was just a product advertisement, where a girl from the support department had lent a lightning boy her equipment and controlled him to show what her equipment could do.

"Did I misunderstand what a Sports Festival is supposed to be?" Kenjiki doubted himself for the first time, as he saw his name plastered on the air.

Walking down to the arena, he saw a familiar face; Mina Ashido the pink girl who fling acid around.

"How'd you do, Kenjiki?" Mina greeted him in a cheerful mood.

"Good I suppose." Kenjiki replied with a slight nod.

"Whaat. Is that how you talk with girls?" Mina teasing was stopped by Midnight who shouted to ask their readiness.

"We're ready!" Both of them said, as a loud whip sound rang throughout the arena, signaling the start of the fight.

Mina instantly moved as a thick layer of acid coated her whole body, while throwing numerous blobs of acid towards him.

Kenjiki also moved when he grew a pair of wings on his back, dodging every bit of acid that was flung by her.

When he realized that the amount of acid wouldn't seem to decrease anytime soon, he bit his thumb and let a sizable amount of blood flow out.

Once the blood was enough, he clenched as the floating blood hardened into the shape of a sharp spear.

"That's my quirk?" The homeroom teacher of 1-B, Vlad King noticed the floating red liquid around Kenjiki. "Did he have a quirk copy type like Monoma? But how did he copy mine?"

Vlad King tried to remember if he had met that boy or that he had been touched by him. But it was to no avail because it was his first time to even see him himself.

Down below, Mina was smiling awkwardly seeing the horrifying looking blood spear while being thankful it hadn't been shot by him.

So, to prevent it from being shot at her, she gathered a big amount of acid by chopping off a bit of her acid armor. Once she thought it was ready, Mina leaped to the sky and swung the ball of acid downwards.

Kenjiki saw the attack and grasped the spear before clenching his whole body.

In an instant, the spear had vanished from his hand and was seen flying towards Mina.

Seeing that, she swung her body to dodge the spear, but was surprised when she saw the spear changing direction before bashing her body with a blunt force.

Fortunately for her, Kenjiki had changed the spear shape to prevent from killing Mina. At the same time, he helped her to slowly fall to the ground outside the arena using the blood that was stuck on her body.

"THE WINNER IS OUR DARK HORSE! KENJIKI!!" Present Mic announced when Midnight declared the winner.

Cheers erupted from the crowd, as this was the first proper battle in this tournament.

Other than cheers there's also people who were speculating what's Kenjiki's quirk supposed to be, because Teleportation, Wings, and Blood Manipulation made them more confused.

When Kenjiki's match had ended, the next match was instantly shown.

It was the explo-boy against a timid looking girl who had been the bone-breaking Midoriya's teammate in the previous Cavalry Battle.

This match was quite the beatdown, where the explo-boy continuously blasted the girl without letting her breathe.

Even though this 'fight' was hard for the crowd to watch that even caused some of them to boo him, it was within the girl's plan where her Zero Gravity quirk had floated every debris that explo-boy had exploded high in the sky.

So, when the time was correct, she deactivated her quirk and let the debris come down, bashing the explo-boy.

But unfortunately for her, she hadn't accounted for one thing. Explo-boy's explosive hand was strong, so strong in fact that it incinerated every falling debris.

In just a moment, her hope of winning was vanquished as with her consciousness when her body couldn't handle the quirk overuse anymore and fainted.

"Ochaco Uraraka is unconscious, Katsuki Bakugo WINS!" Midnight shouted as a team of robot paramedics came to retrieve the unconscious girl.

The next match was Momo against a goth boy who had a bird head as a head. This match was quite exciting with Momo flying a bajillion things at the boy. Though it wasn't that effective as the boy's agile body had easily dodge everything and pushed Momo out of the arena.

The next match was a boy that had an engine on both of his legs against a red spiky haired boy who could harden his whole body. Due to the engine-boy's fast leg, he could easily maneuver around the red haired boy and pushed him out of the arena.

The next match was supposed to happen if not for the participant being only 14, and so, Kyoka easily passed to the second round.

With that, the preliminary round had come to an end with only 8 students left in the tournament.

Even though the preliminary round had just ended, the second round was instantly started with a match where Midoriya was put against a halfie-boy called Todoroki.

This fight was quite the eye catcher with all of the explosion that ensued due to the collision of both of their quirk.

"That's quite the strong super strength quirk." Kenjiki braced his body against the shockwaves that even caused most Pro Heroes to fly out of their seats.

Kenjiki also noticed that with every huge shockwave, Midoriya's finger was broken causing him to think that the quirk was too strong for the boy to handle.

Seeing that, he speculated if his body could handle the full power of that quirk.

While he was thinking to himself, the fight down on the arena had progressed quite far, with Midoriya's 10 finger and left arm completely broken while Todoroki's right arm was freezing.

Also for some reason, the fire side of Todoroki's quirk that had been dormant the whole event had finally been ignited.

With both ice and fire cranked to the max, he went blasting towards the approaching Midoriya who was clenching his right arm that hadn't been broken.

Once they came to a certain distance, both of them unleashed their full power as a loud explosion sounded, louder than Present Mic's voice to be certain.

The collision of their quirk was so strong in fact, that the whole stadium and the area surrounding it was shaking violently due to the shockwave.

Though the result was underwhelming with Midoriya ending up unconscious outside the arena; disqualifying from from going forward to the semi-final.
