Multiversal Elden Ring Mercant

What happens to an obsession once someone dies? Some may fade away, some may eat at your soul for all eternity. Some, however, are so strong they can warp reality itself. A man obsessed with Elden Ring to the point of challenging this universes laws, what kind of story would that be I wonder?

Hey, just wanted to let yawl know that for scaling, I use the vs battles wiki. I know it's not entirely accurate, but it's the best I got for the sheer volume of characters that are going to be in this novel. If you have a better alternative lemme know, but until then it is what it is.

If you don't know what that is, here's a link.

[Kale]

"Of course, my name is Kale. Now, where to start? This is my home, the Great Caravan. I have ceased the flow of time here, so no matter how long my customers may stay here, they will waste no time in their own reality." My words clearly confuse Whis, and he speaks up moments later.

"In our own reality? Is this a completely different realm of existence?" Beerus looks intrigued as well, and he looks at me with confusion. I guess for beings like them, it could be beneficial to be honest. At the very least, it will let them know that the wares I have are actually beyond their ability to get.

"Yes, it is. There are universes outside of your own, so why wouldn't there be multiverses beyond the one ruled by Zeno? They are simply beyond your ability to reach, but well within my own power. The great caravan is constantly wandering through countless dimensions, we just happened to enter yours and invite you." My mentioning of Zeno has an instant effect, Beerus shivers and Whis simply widens his eyes in surprise. It shouldn't shock them that much; they are aware of the alternate realities in xenoverse. To be fair, this is quite different from that.

"And you? How does one do what you do? It shouldn't be possible to do this completely undetected, so how do you travel to different realities?" Beerus makes a fairly obvious question. To be fair he's right, there's just nobody strong enough in Dragon Ball to detect me. Speaking of that, Millicent, what's the lower limit of people who can detect me?

Master, the lower limit would be people at the low complex multiversal level. Alternatively, people with a significant grasp over the laws of fate and or time could detect you. The law of fate would allow them to detect your fate apon entering their dimension, and the law of time would allow them to foresee your arrival. This only applies to those with a significantly strong grasp over such laws.

Okay, that's really helpful, thanks Millicent. Due to my enhanced thinking speed, the small conversation between me and Millicent takes no more than an instant. Still not sure which of my abilities made me think fast, but I'll take it. Back to the conversation at hand.

"There's simply nobody strong enough to detect me in your reality. Don't be discouraged, you two are actually fairly high in the omniverse power scale." My words seem to both scare and comfort them. Imagine being told that your reality is weak, knowing someone that can erase multiverses as easily as raising their hand. I would be scared too.

"I'm not exactly sure how to feel about that, but I'm still curious as to how you pass through realities, could you tell us?" Whis speaks while shaking his head, Beerus yawning on the side. How can he be tired in this situation? Maybe I could sell him some Saint Trina's Lillys, he might just make a bed out of them.

I should answer Whis, "I'd rather not go into specifics, I am a merchant, so how about you purchase a little something?" Not saying that because I have no clue how this works, I just want to get down to business. Beerus practically shouts his next words at me.

"I want enough of every kind of food you served us to feed me for 100,000 years." I can practically taste his excitement in the air, he's a real glutton. But does he even have anything to trade me right now? I'm planning on exchanging for ultra instinct from Whis, but I don't know what Beerus has to offer.

"I can do this, of course, But what do you offer in exchange? I told you I don't care for mere currency." My voice seems to snap him out of whatever daydream he's lost in, and he practically deflates. Barely a second after, he jumps up with a massive smile.

"I have these three things. My bracelets and collar are made of a special material that can resist my power of destruction. Surely this would interest you, Kale?" That smugness in his tone annoys me a bit, but business is business. Before he can toss them to me, I stop time again. I walk up and take his bracelets and collar off, then I walk back to my seat and unfreeze time.

Okay, I might be a little petty.

Beerus stops moving and looks at his hands in shock. Him and Whis look at me with a small bit of fear in their eyes as they await my verdict. Time stopping is probably one of my strongest abilities right now, I use time powers a lot as well. Maybe I should specialize in time laws? Thoughts for another time. Back to the items.

The bracelets and collar are made of a material resembling gold in both color, weight, and sheen. Unadorned, they give a calm and noble vibe, completely unlike Beerus. I force a bit of destructive power with the law of destruction, and it has no effect on the items. Beerus and Whis look shocked at the small display, but that's to be expected. I could try to use more power, I'm sure I can do more than Beerus with laws, but I don't want to damage the items.

Still, they can resist multiversal levels of power of destruction, and can be reforged to a weapon or another item in the right hands. The total amount of material is roughly 18 ounces, enough for a dagger or another single larger piece of jewelry. Overall, for some food I can infinitely generate that serves no practical use to very strong beings outside of taste?

Pure fucking profits.

"Yes, I'd say this is barely sufficient. The ingredients for this food are very rare, as you can imagine. Let me prepare it for you." Lying is a staple of a true merchant, besides to them the ingredients to make food this good don't exist, so I'm not even technically lying. I use the mist to make a ring that contains 1,825,000,000 pounds of food made up of all the food in Elden ring, with the perfect taste of course. That should definitely be enough for 100,000 years, even not accounting for his naps.

The ring forms into my hand and I toss it to Beerus. He looks at it for a moment, before an incredibly wide smile dons his face. Now, for Whis. While he's looking at Beerus with envy, I speak up.

"Whis, I desire to learn Ultra Instinct. I want you to stay here and teach me. Time is not an issue, as I've stopped its flow. Now, what do you want in exchange?" I really hope I have something he'll take. Most importantly because once he teaches me, I'll hopefully be able to teach others and sell the service!

"Well, Ultra Instinct is a power only for the gods. While I don't imagine it being that hard for you, I would like to know what you will offer me for it." He smiles at me after he's done speaking, damn. Why can't he be as stupidly gluttonous as Beerus and just ask for food? I stop time to think and strategize. I can think fast but I want to seem like I can instantly think of things that are as good, if not better than Ultra Instinct.

Laws are way more valuable than UI, so that's out. Food is a good option; he'd surely love an infinite supply of what I served earlier. I could offer to teach him something in return, kits in dragon ball are notoriously slim comparative to other strong verses. Fragments of Farum Azula could work, they are from a real beyond time and have small amounts of time power on them. Marikas Hammer is too valuable, it can break laws for fucks sake.

Other weapons outside of death ones won't be good enough, but I'm not sure I want to give something like that out. Miquella's needle won't do much in the DB verse, hax are almost nonexistent. I could teach him some death blight spells, I can definitely neg them with time powers and laws. The healing and cerulean flask are also options. Millicent, would the cerulean flask regenerate ki?

No master, however, you can make one that works with KI. The concept is rooted enough in Elden ring to work. Alright, let's go.

"I can teach you some spells that bring forth death, I have an elixir that can restore any damage you may take, one that can restore vast amounts of ki. I have an elixir that can grant infinite ki, for a time. I also have stones basked in the power of time, as well as that food you had. Which of these items would you like in exchange? Only one." I keep my voice calm despite my nervousness, and Whis seems to me mulling over his options.

"I would like some stones that hold the power of time. How many?" His answer makes me smile beneath my mask; I can work with that. As for how many, I'm not sure. Hmm, oh! Thats a good idea.

"I can give you one stone for every year it takes me to learn Ultra Instinct. If it takes me less than 10 years, I will give you 10 stones. What do you say?" He goes silent at my response, and that just makes me nervous again. Soon, he replies.

"Very well. Lord Beerus, could you return before me? And please don't eat all the food in the instant I'll be gone. I will know." His last words were laced with threat, accompanied by a glare. Beerus reluctantly nods, no doubt planning to eat as soon as he gets back. I hope they don't destroy universe 7 fighting over the food.

Whis nods at me, and I send Beerus back. After he fades, Whis approaches me.

"Now, for your first lesson..."

{Insert Time Skip. I'm not gonna try and explain UI or its training methods lol.}

[Kale]

Finally, Its done. Thats all I can think as Whis is shuttling around me faster than I can see, striking me from countless different angles. Not does a single blow land, as my body miraculously moves without any direction on my part. I don't think, I don't try to move, my body does all that on its own.

I wasn't content with lesser versions of Ultra Instinct, nor did I want to restrict myself to a mere transformation. We weren't stopping until I was as good at ultra instinct as Whis himself. I wanted true, mastered ultra instinct. And now, I had it. I can safely say I'm very old now, I overestimated my talent after learning everything instantly from remembrances. Soon, Whis stops attacking and appears in front of me. He also seems tired of being here, so let's get it over with.

"Well, as promised, Its time for my end of the deal. Here you go, Whis." Just as I finish speaking, A ring appears in my hand. One containing 13,572 ruin fragments. I would have surely gone insane had Millicent not been here with me. After all, I was only 17 before this.

I pass the ring to Whis, who tiredly nods at me. I guess even for someone like him, training me for 13,000 years is tiring. I send him off back to Beerus, who hasn't experienced even an instant in these years. In this time, I also deeply studied the law of time and found myself talented. I seemed to have an affinity with time, and now I could use many time-based powers without the use of the Elden Ring.

Okay, time to get back on track.

Millicent, invite Rimuru tempest!
