Chapter 40: Plot *Let me cook*

(Dante POV)

With a graceful sweep of my spear, the final hilichurl of the camp was cleaved in two, its form slowly crumbling into ashes.

"Mmm, I think I can finally call myself a true spearman," I murmured, admiring the precision of my last strike.

It has been two days since the meeting with Sucrose and since then I have been focused on committing mass genocide against the monsters of Teyvat.

Thanks to the constant use of teleportation, travel time became a non-issue, allowing me to focus on raising my energy cap.

Whether it was a camp of 10 mobs or a sprawling encampment of 20, they posed no challenge.

The Great Sage would cast a few Space Rends, decimating most of the enemies while leaving just enough for me to hone my spear techniques.

This efficient strategy enabled me to seamlessly combine practice with grinding, saving precious time.

'Great Sage, about how much did my total energy reserves increase?' I questioned my trusty partner as I sat above a boulder while taking a short break.

[Notice: AIM, Mana, and Elemental Energy reserves have all increased by 2%.]

'About a percentage each day, huh? That sounds quite good.' With a nod, I thought to myself.

'The plot to steal the Holy Lyre should unfold either tonight or tomorrow,' I mused, recalling Aether's message from yesterday.

He mentioned that he, along with Amber, Lisa, and Kaeya, were already on their way to Dvalin's three temples.

'In the game, completing the entire Mondstadt Arc takes about two and a half hours. Hmm, if there's no travel time, clearing the three temples, stealing the Lyre, obtaining the tears, and summoning Dvalin on the cliff could probably be done in two to three days. With travel time, however, it would likely take four to five days—about a week if I include the past two days,' I calculated thoughtfully.

'Aight, I'll push to earn a total of 10% increase before the quests end.' With such determination, I stood up as the hilichurl massacre continued.

(Unknown God POV)

Atop the drifting castle in the sky, a figure of striking poise sat in serene stillness before a colossal rift in space, from which an unsettling chill emanated.

Her hair, flowing like freshly fallen snow, framed her face with graceful elegance, while her eyes glowed with a fiery orange intensity, as if peering deep into the void.

Adorned in a sleek, white garment that hugged her form, she exuded an ethereal beauty that seemed to dissolve into the celestial expanse around her.

She embodied a vision of celestial grace, seamlessly woven into the cosmic tapestry above.

Her serene visage contorted with concern as she spoke softly, "This is deeply concerning. The rift, meant to unfold over a decade, now quickens its pace."

"If this continues," she muttered in a solemn voice.

"The rift into the imaginary realm will unravel completely, exposing Teyvat to external perils. That accursed Herrscher will come seeking me out. My preparations are incomplete; I need more time," the voice murmured, accompanied by a grim expression.

"What exactly went wrong?" she muttered, tapping into the stolen power of time to observe Teyvat.

Her solemn gaze swept across the continent of Teyvat as the Power of Time replayed the events of the past 500 years, during which she had spent her efforts stalling the unraveling of the rift.

After an unknown amount of time, the ethereal beauty locked her gaze on a peculiar pair.

"Everything proceeded as orchestrated until recent days," she lamented softly.

"Each piece meticulously positioned, yet fate relinquished its grasp on the sealed Goddess of Time and the pivotal blonde Descender," she reflected quietly.

Her contemplation deepened, and her eyes widened as they locked onto a white-haired man with eyes as deep as the universe itself.

Continuously teleporting into monster camps, he carried out his relentless massacre.

"Who? How has a new Descender emerged? Teyvat should be shielded by the power of the Original Sovereigns (the seven dragons), the other Descenders, and the myriad gods sacrificed during the Archon Wars," she pondered, her brows furrowed with concern.

Harnessing the stolen Power of Time, she strained to trace the origin of this unforeseen Descender, an anomaly that defied all logic.

"The Goddess of Time's power is wavering, which shouldn't be possible, as it embodies Teyvat's very law of time. The only explanation for its failure is that the white-haired Descender is either stronger than Teyvat's laws or shielded by a higher power. Both possibilities bode ill for me. Is Teyvat's location now exposed? Are the Herrschers or other unknown cosmic entities involved?" With a creeping chill, the ethereal beauty's face twisted in distress.

"I must devise a strategy to handle this Descender. His meddling threatens my meticulously crafted five millennial plan. While I cannot intervene personally, as I must maintain the rift's suppression, I trust the Tsaritsa and her lackeys should be enough to take him down," the beauty murmured, observing the white-haired Descender's lackluster display of spear skills.

"To ensure his defeat, I will dispatch the Artifact Set forged from fragments of the God of Space. It should sufficiently hinder the white-haired Descender's teleportation abilities and shield," she contemplated.

With a mere thought, a five-piece set of artifacts materialized, adorned in black and white hues with countless twinkling stars.

The ethereal beauty then conveyed a message to her most trusted piece, the Archon of Snezhnaya, the Tsaritsa.

Translucent light shimmered, transforming into myriad starlights that encased the five hovering artifacts before they faded into nothingness.

With that, the ethereal beauty closed her eyes once more, her focus redirected to suppressing the rift, safeguarding the peace of the continent of Teyvat once again.

(Authors Note:

Aight, aside from MCs main world, I would focus on the Genshin world as the main plot of the story, I like Genshin what can I say XD.

Though, let me cook, as I have plans for this shit, Just choke it up as AU Genshin as this fic will finish before Genshin anyways so I need to make up my shit.

Also, unpopular opinion, I believe the Unknown God and Tsaritsa are not really evil.

That is why in my fic, even though the Unknown God has some beef with a Herrsher, her main focus is still on protecting Teyvat.

Her method might not be the best, but she is not evil.)
