Chapter nineteen The lost watch

The party was going on well, Anna did not continue making a fuss so far. The songs that were played were all the songs requested by the people at the party and most of them requested Doe's songs.

At the corner were seated a group of people, but the one who caught most people's attention were two look alike men who looked like they were in their early thirties. Both were surrounded by women, but one looked more interested while the other looked bored at the ladies company. He was staring at certain direction.

"What caught your attention that much!?" Ace, his younger twin brother asked, then he followed his gaze and smiled, "Or rather, who caught your attention? Brother, it's rare for me to see you staring at someone like that."

"It's rare for me to see you minding your business!"Jace answered.

"Come on brother! I am just trying to be a good younger brother."

"I appreciate it, but it's not needed."

"So who is it!?" Ace wasn't one to give up, especially when his brother is interested in a lady.

"The one dressed in black." Jace said, knowing that his brother was a persistent man.

"Oooohh, the one standing next to the lady dressed in red!? Oh my, she looks like a daring devil and the other one seems silent but also dangerous. You interested?" Ace asked, his eyes still focused on the lady in red.

"Just curious. I haven't seen her before."

"I saw her at a party in England but I didn't catch up with her, she was also dressed in black that day."

"Where was I?" Jace asked.

"You said you were going to see Damian's arranged bride. By the way, did you get to see her?"

"No, she had already filed for a divorce and left." He remembered at that time, Damian said he was doubting Anna, because of the high school friend. He said he felt like Anna wasn't the girl, but he wasn't sure because Anna was the one he met at the locker that day.

"Oh, Damian's assistant just said they are here!" Ace suddenly remembered.

"I bet he also told you they are in a meeting, so don't go budging in the room. Once he is done he will call us."Jace sniffed his nose and said, "this place is suffocating, it is filled with strong perfumes."

The party was going on well until, Rita and Anna bumped into each other, Anna turned around to see it was Rita, Elena's friend and became even angrier, "You bitch, why don't you watch where you are going!?"

"I guess that sentence applies to you too." Rita encountered. "Or do you think you are superior enough that when you bump into someone you shouldn't be blamed!"

"Do you know who I am!? I am..."

"Yeah yeah, you don't have to say, the noisy church mouse who goes about bragging how much offering she gives, not knowing others give more than you!" After Rita finished speaking everyone jeered. No one ever dared to speak that way to Anna.

"You bitch, how dare you insult me!" Anna raised her hands and wanted to slap Rita but was stopped by Elena.

"I told you, you should do a surgery on your hands and mouth , they are so loose that they offend people they should not." she grabbed Anna's hand and pressed it behind her back, then whispered into her ear, "You are pressing the wrong button."

Suddenly someone took the microphone and said, "I lost my watch, it's a Rolex Oyster, 36mm,oystersteel and it has white gold and diamonds."It was Kalen.

"Who else could take it except her!?" Anna said pointing at Elena.

"Yes, I think she stole it, she has been looking suspicious and nervous for a long time!" Sandra, one of the other minions that follow Anna around like lost sheep said.

Elena just smiled, the same group that caused Sarah to suffer, thank God Sarah did not remove the memories. That girl would randomly delete memories, 'maybe she became tired of being mistreated and that's why she gave everything to me. This fools think I am a pushover.' Elena thought.

Rita sneered, `these fools don't know when to back down, they keep on pressing the wrong button every time!"
