Ch 4-New Boss

I had slept after eating my chocolate and was woken up by Hermoine to change my rodes as we had almost reached Hogwarts.

My Walkman wasn't working now, Great, so the thing about magic interfering with electical equipment is true? i will have to look at some way to get it working. Otherwise what was the use of bringing my boombox to Hogwarts.

The aura around Hogwarts is heavy very heavy, for me it was intoxicating. I could feel all the raw magic, unadulterated, unfiltered, flowing all around. I felt high at that moment so much so that i started drooling almost.

"Hey look the Mudblood, finally lost his mind." said one of my the Slyntherin.

"Some people have enough IQ to apprectiate beauty dunderhead." I replied and shot a Petrificus Totalus at the person who feel down.

I enjoyed the look on the face of the Slytherin who were completely shocked by my action, as i made my way up to the Great Hall for the feast.

The food is the best that you can taste, the elves really do come handy in things like this. Though you can say that to keep them working without pay is just slavery, but the Hogwarts Elves are free to leave anytime they want. They are not bounded like the Dobby was. But none of them ever leave, they are content with there living.

Its work that give their life meaning. I don't care about it though, for all I know they can do whatever they want as long as they don't cause any problems for me.

Dumbledore introduced the new DADA teacher, Lupin as well as Hagrid being made the teacher of a subject. Nothing new for students, who are kind of immune to the election of new teachers every year. He informed about Dementor roaming around Hogwarts for protection. This did get gasps from student around.

I don't understand how releasing killing beast can provide protection, i mean they know that if Sirius Black will come to Hogwarts then it will only be for Harry, why not give him a few bodyguards? portkey or something just to escape when Black comes. They really lack common sense. It is literally like pulling out nukes to throw at the very first offense.

I raised my hand while Dumbledore was delivering his speech. Everyone looked shocked to see this for a second, except for Dumbledore, maybe experience helps in hiding emotions.

"What?no one ever asked any question during a speech?" I shouted.

"Yes, Mr.Rivers, May I know what query you have?"Dumbledore asked with twinkle in his eyes.

Don't know why my head hurt for a second when Dumbledore made eye contact with me.

"I wanted to ask that are the Dementors necessary? How can you say that they will protect us? Harry was attacked by a dementor on the Express and this is just the start of the year. We already know that Black will come after Harry, why not just give him a few aurors as bodyguard and be done with it." I spoke

"Mr. Rivers, we can do that but we still can't guarantee the safety of other students. And no one was hurt by the unfortunate incident in the Express so lets, what do you muggle say, let bygone be bygone" and with a smile he continued on with where I interrupted him.

Some of the Slytherins were looking at me the whole time of the feast, some had pity in their eyes, some with viciousness, with venom, with mirth anticipating what was to happen as soon as we reach the Dungeons.

Since reading the face of 3rd year student is easy I was pretty sure that there was going to be an attack on me when I reach Dungeon.

Notts passed me a slip while we were walking back to Dungeons.

"Be Prepared."

Ohh I didn't think he cared enough well I will have to look after him now.

As soon as we entered the Dungeon I had one hand in my robe holding on to my Wand prepared for any alteration. I was delighted that i could get over with it the first day. The easiest way to establish yourself at the top of the food chain is to the take down the one at the top. Malfoy was already my target before i had even entered Hogwarts. He controlled Slytherins by being a Malfoy with money plus preaching his Pureblood ideology. Take out the King and the Kingdom falls.

And suddenly i felt fluctutations around me.

'So it begins'

I ducked immediately.

"You are so dead MudBlood." shouted the same Kid who i body binded at the beginning.

"Oh yeah, Well say hello to my little friend!" I shouted pulling out my wand while noticing the complete lack of understanding of the reference on any Slytherins face, 'Idiot Purebloods' i thought.

Before he could launch another spell at me I fired an Arresto Momentum at him, this slowed him down not much, can't actually expect a lot from a quickly cast spell.

But even a second makes a major difference in a fight. I casted a KnockBack Jinx to end the fight with the Boy laying on the ground moaning.

"Well I hope you will think before fighting those who are better than you." I said with venom to the boy while picking up his wand.

"Now what should I do with this?"I said while playing with his wand. "Should i snap it?"

"You wouldn't dare, Mudblood" came the voice of Draco Malfoy who just made his presence known.

"Mamma Bear finally comes to protect it weak cubs Malfoy? Give me one good reason why should I even listen to you?" I replied looking him directly in the eye.

Draco took out his wand along with Crabbe and Goyle.

"Well maybe if you weren't so outnumbered you could have fought me so know your place Mudbood before we show it to you." Said Draco smugly.

"Draco, Ants attack in group, Tiger fights solo." and before the meaning of my sentence could hit him, I send a Body Binding hex at him.

I had to priorities taking out Draco first, no matter how much of a prat he was he had skills, same could not be said of Crabbe or Goyle who were more muscle than brain.

Unluckily my plan didn't succeed and the spell hit Goyle who like a meat shield came infront of Draco, Crabbe charged towards me but a punch on his nose and then at his throat stopped him in his track. All this gave Draco enough time who casted a Knockback Jinx at me.

"Finite" I shouted countering it.

And then launching a barrage of different hexes at him, I had no idea which one hit Draco until he started laughing holding himself.

"So Tickling charm got the job done, kinda anti climatic." I said while going forwards and kicking Draco's, and Goyle's wand from their hand. Always make sure to take the wand off the fallen enemy,

I placed my wand at my throat and Amplified my voice and said," Listen to me each and every one of you, From now on I am the boss, If anyone of you has any problem come forwards now, Malfoy had problems but look at him now, he can't even stop laughing."

No one came forwards.

"Well i didn't expect any one of you to come forward too, I can expect that of Gryffindor not Slytherins. GOOD, so there is hope some Hope for this house after all. And since i am one of you sneaky basterd I am pretty sure that you all are soon gonna come up with some plan to attack me." I said so while looking at Malfoy who was looking at me with rage though still laughing. Clearly he already had plans for it.

"To those I say, you are most welcomed to try, but remember i won't be as nice i was right now, if you are coming after me then know this, I remember my grudges. And be prepared cause i will not be liable for any damage done then. Or as we Muggle say it You Have Made Your Bed, Now lie on it"

Suddenly there was the arrival of Flint along with the First Years.

Flint looked at the 4 down boys, He looked at us and the asked,"Who did this?"

"If any one says I did it then they will be lying with these 4" I immediatley declared.

"So you accept doing this Rivers?"Flint asked maliciously.

"I never did, did I now Flint? I just said that if anyone says that I did it then i will hex them, and since no one has said anything about my involvement and i haven't hexed anyone infront of you yet, it looks like i am innocent, ain't I?"

Flint smiled, clearly understanding what had happened. He turned towards the First Years and said, "Welcome to Sylntherin."
