They were none other than Lydia and Cristina. Lydia was wearing an off-the-shoulder long dress.

It showed her beautiful curves. It was an elegant blue dress. Her delicate face was enough to drool people over her beauty. She was giving a strong and elegant aura to the people. Men's were drooling over her and women were jealous of her beauty. Next to her was Cristina, she was wearing a beautiful long sleeves A-line light pink dress. She was a beauty herself. They all recognised her. She was goddess Cristina. They knew Mia and Cristina was a rival in industry but Cristina was far better than her. She had this innocent and soft aura around her. One look and they all have this urge to protect her. They both were giving an aura of a devil and angel. One was the heiress of Carlton family and the other was the goddess of the nation. They were too eye catchy. They all forgot Mia.

She was clenching her fist. She turned around to see Jacob. He was staring at Cristina with a gentle look. He never looked at her with those looks so she was jealous. She even got mad that she was with Lydia.

When Jacob saw her. He was happy. He was angry at the people staring at her.

Even Louis was angry at the people. He stared at them coldly like if he will take their eyeballs out if they look at his precious girl.

Meanwhile Lydia started walking to Jacob and Mia. She congratulated them.

Mia"Lydia why did you came so late. You know how much I missed you." She said with a soft and friendly voice.

Lydia was disgusted by her friendly tone. "I'm a busy person. So I cant attend an unimportant events." She said coldly. Mia was astonished by her words. She was embarrassed by Louis now even Lydia embarrassed her. She just smiled awkwardly.

Jacob heard their conversation and was quite satisfied with it. He was trying to find where Cristina was. He saw her. She was talking with some directors. She was smiling cheerfully. He was jealous, that smile was only meant for him but she showed it to other men's. He was mumbling to himself. Just then there was a pat at his back. He was startled by this action. When he turned around he saw the little devil. She was just coldly staring at him. He had chills down his spine when he saw her.

"Hello,Mrs.Lydia how may I help you." He said while smiling. Lydia ignored his question. "If you want to know the reason behind your breakup.You should ask her."

Jacob was startled by it. He saw her looking at Cristina's direction. "I'm sorry, I didn't understand what you are trying to say Mrs.Lydia."

"If you are given a chance seize it before you regret it." She then left without turning back.

He was confused by her words. Then suddenly something hit his mind. He recalled her words. He tried to figure out something. Just then he realised. "Did she mean to chase Cristina and ask for a reunion before it's too late. But why is she helping me." He was confused. Just then he heard the opening speech of Mias father George Avery. He didn't even think twice and ran out of there. He began to chase after Cristina. He saw her going there. Just then he saw Cristina. She was stunning. She was so lovely. He was happy to see her again. He panted for awhile. "Cri...cristy I love you. I really love you. I don't care what other says. Even if there is someone trying to break us apart, I will break them. I still can't forget your smell. I still remember your sweet lovely words. So please....please don't leave me." He had tears falling from his eyes when he said those worlds. He really meant those words.

When Cristina heard her familiar nickname and his confession she was really happy. She felt like she was young again. They were just a teenager when he proposed her. He took care of her all the time and showered her with love. But when she heard his confession tears began to fall from her eyes. She ran and hugged him. Startling Jacob, when he felt the familiar touch and the familiar scent he was happy. He hugged her tightly and they kissed each other. It was an happy reunion.

Lydia was at the corner listening to his lovely words and seeing their happy reunion. She was very happy for them. She only imagined to get a partner like Jacob who was very loving and caring. But she could only imagine she thought that she was not lucky enough to have this perfect guy. In her mind and heart there was no place for love. She was watching their happy reunion when suddenly a voice startled her.

"Eavesdropping at other conversation is not a good thing." He said playfully. She looked straight at him.

He had a great features. What she noticed was his sexy lips. She was suddenly thirsty. Louis was smiling at her. "Oh my Did you liked me? May I serviced you tonight Milady." When she heard it she was burning red. She angrily stared at him. "Who wants a service from an ugly guy like you." He was chuckling. "You don't know how to lie Milady. I just saw you drooling over me." She blushed. She agreed that he was a beauty. When he saw her blushing. He couldn't controlled himself. Just then Jacob called him.

"Louis what are you doing." Louis and Lydia looked at him. Cristina went to Lydia's side. "Ehh....you both know each other?" Jacob asked him.

"No I don't know this guy." Lydia hurriedly said. Jacob was surprised to see his bachelor friend talking with a girl. And he was talking with Lydia. He thought they knew each other. When he looked at Louis he saw his cold stares. And he knew what it means. He thought he disturbed his time with his girl. He was happy that his friend started to take a liking to a girl. "Ohh then let me introduced to my Best friend Louis saint." He said smiling. Lydia knew the king of underworld. He was a ruthless and cold man. He could kill people without even blinking. His business became a huge success. His power and wealth could compared to that of Carlton family. He had connection in underworlds. But Carlton has a connection with militaries. Her grandpa was a major in his time. He wanted his son to take his place but he took interest in business so he couldn't do anything. And her brother also inherited the business.

Then Cristina introduced her. "She is Lydia Carlton my best friend." She said happily. She knew Louis so they were familiar.

Both Lydia and Louis nodded and looked at each other. Lydia was glaring at him while Louis was looking playfully at her. Both Cristina and Jacob felt some chills. Jacob then broke their staring competition.

"I think an interesting show will be shown in the hall. Let's go. We cant miss it." He hold Cristina's hand.

Lydia smiled from ears to ears."yeah we can't miss the great show." She stated. Louis just nodded and looked at Lydia lovingly. Lydia didn't noticed the stare but the duo noticed it. Love was in the air. They thought. They went back to the ballroom.
