Chapter 39-2

Raj and Aaron glance at me in unison. We all share the same doubts about Eddie; he's been fidgety since we left River Moon. However, he shuts his mouth and follows my lead for the first time.

"North-East for five miles, guys. When we reach the railway tracks, we follow the line to the first set of warehouses. Let's hope we have an uneventful journey." Aaron pockets a handful of handmade bombs.

Garlic bombs, to be exact. I guess you can say the age old vampire weaknesses really are true. Garlic and holy water can damage a vampire, but not as badly as you would expect.

I stockpiled as many weapons as I could, raiding Dad's weapon supply stashed in the cupboard under the stairs. Splitting the vampire weaponry between us, it's only fair we all have enough ammo.

"C'mon, guys. Let's do this." I call loudly, curling my hand into a fist and waiting for one of the usual huddles we engage in during training. "We don't leave anyone behind -- understand?"
