Chapter 27

With a soft pop, I teleported to the side of Tenma with the tengu's she was giving her marching orders bowing deeply to me as Tenma herself placed her hand over her petite chest where her heart was while also lightly bowing her head to me.

"Tenma are you finished giving orders to your soldiers?" I asked for her own benefit as I had actually already waited for her little speech to the couple dozen tengu's died down.

"Yes, Lord Moria. How may I serve?" She said respectfully as she looked up at me from her light bow.

"Meet me in my throne room when are ready as I need to bless you as my actual priestess," I said as I teleported back to my throne room with a soft pop.

While she was quickly flying towards my cathedral, I pondered on the kind of blessing the petite leader of the Tengu would appreciate.

With a shrug, I decided that just a general blessing that was tuned for life here in Gensokyo would be for the best.

A couple of minutes later, the Tengu leader flew into my cathedral, and I made the large gem-encrusted doors to my throne room open as she approached, clearly telling her to simply enter the room.

"My lord you wish to give upon me your blessing?" She said as she stood across from me.

"Yes... I was actually torn upon whether to give you a specific blessing like longevity, power, or whatnot... But I believe I have the best option here." I said as I walked over to Tenma and gently placed my finger upon her brow making the tengu go cross-eyed as the tip of my finger glowed with a soft golden light.

"A blessing that includes magic resistance will no doubt be very useful for a woman mired in the nonsense that happens in Gensokyo and frankly I doubt that with the splash that I have made that other people won't try to cause issues for their own entertainment," I said as I intertwined the concept of protection against magic into her being.

"There, it's done," I said as I turned around to sit back on my throne.

"Thank you, Lord Moria, for your blessing," Tenma said respectfully as she bowed with her large tengu wings spreading out in the motion.

"Your service will be rewarded do not fear... Now I have a little get-together with Ran and the Ghost Princess Yuyuko Saigyouji but with the princess bringing her retainer Youmu Konpaku I wish for you to be there as well." I said and she smiled at the dinner invitation and once I gave the details about when it should happen, she excused herself to continue her duties in settling her Tengu into the older style homes I didn't knock down or similar houses she requested me to throw up for her people to live in.

Why she didn't want the rest of her people to have plumbing and electricity escaped me, but I wasn't going to argue with my priestess.

As I was relaxing in my throne just watching the people of Gensokyo going about their business especially around my mountain I could only hum in thought as I saw Kanako the busty Moriya goddess along with the Loli goddess Suwako leading their shrines priestess in a wide circle around where my barrier once was.

"Gotta wonder what those troublemakers are up to." I muttered as I paid closer attention to them, and I was barely able to hear their conversation as they were just out of the range of my mountains influence.

"Come on little Sanea, it's no big deal! The greedy brat has a whole bunch of it! It won't hurt if you get a bit of it!" Kanako pushed Sanea Kochiya to probably come onto my land and illegally my heavenly materials.

Or at least that's what I thought their plan was... I doubt they would attempt to prostitute their priestess to me for a bit of divine gold in any case. But I could be wrong, as of a whole, all gods and goddesses are assholes. and I even count myself inside that camp a bit.

Thankfully for my own sanity Sanea managed to ignore her goddesses as she retorted. "We are alreadly on thin ice here in Gensokyo due to the incidents you two keep stirring up! Besides Lady Suwako you said we were just coming around here to pick herbs and stuff!" Sanea scolded the goddess stuck in the form of a little girl.

"Bah we got plenty of money from the human village's donations for having an actually active god... But those heavenly materials could cement our existence and reduce the need of faith." Kanako said frowning and I realized my materials were worth more to these goddesses then I actually thought if they could be used to help reduce the faith a deity would need.

But I knew damned well that the materials would do no such thing for me, as any faith energy given to me only goes into expanding the range of my consciousness....

Sadly, it seemed Sanea got tired of her goddesses' shenanigans and bugging so she flew off away from my mountains so I couldn't hear the goddesses yelling at their priestess as they followed her home.

"Well, that was enlightening." I muttered as I pondered over whether a sort of divine instrument made out of heavenly materials was a god's divine symbol like Zues's lightning bolt, Poseidon's trident, Hades's helmet, and so on, would help cement their existence in mythology and be why the Pantheons in this DXD world wasn't so obsessed about faith and the worship of humans while the minor deities who didn't have a symbol were the ones constantly trying to gather worship.

After my little rumination I noticed how much time had passed and decided to get to work creating the feast I was going to host for Ran, Yuyuko, her retainer Youmu, and my own priestess Tenma. But I also had a strong feeling that with my barrier being down that some other people may join as parties here in Gensokyo... Never stay a private affair.
