Chapter 3: There’s no escaping

That creature was dead. I couldn't tell the difference between reality and fantasy. The only thing that kept me assured about my surroundings was that sharp pain in my leg.

I stood up and ran as fast as I could, trying to battle with the pain in my leg. "What the hell was that!" I was panicking. I wasn't sure if that was real. Me? Having weird ass powers? That is bullshit. I stopped realizing that I'm making my situation even worse than it already is. I don't know where to go and the injury wasn't helping.

My leg was bleeding non stop. And it was already getting dark. I really got scared that I will die in this forest. I had no idea where I was at the moment, and I wasn't sure how big this forest is. I tried to look for my phone but it was destroyed.

  At least I'm going to see the full moon for the first time.Bloody moon. I never thought that that's how I'm going to see it. I decided to find a good spot to rest on under the tree, and as soon as the sun will show up on the horizon, I will try to find the way out.   That's a smart decision, because if I go through the forest any further, I'll get lost completely.

       Time to times I was checking my leg, to see if the bleeding has stopped, but then I saw something weird.

"I remember the mark of a bite on my leg was way bigger than this." Maybe due to the shock my brain was tricking me. I don't know what to believe anymore. This might have been an outcome of not drinking my medication. Good job Sarah.

Finally the moon showed up.The atmosphere was magical. The moon was so beautiful. I can't believe my mom forced me to hide from this beauty.

All of a sudden, I felt my mind going foggy. My vision was focused on the moon. It was getting bigger, and bigger, until I saw a white room with no windows or doors. I was sitting in the middle of it in a white dress with my hair down. I began to breath heavily, I looked up and tried to stand up.

"Hello...?" I said quietly. Maybe I was dying. This time for real. I began to walk forward trying to find my way out.

"Hahaha Sam, that's not possible..." somebody said that with...my voice? It was echoing all over the room. I tried to follow the sound and see who was that. I begin to run, to see what was happening.

"Sam we are going to be late for class, our professor will force us to stay after school..." Here we go again. The same voice. Same echoing. What is that? Some stupid hallucinations?

I stopped and tried to close my eyes and concentrate. All sounds became one, until I felt a different location.

"What in the..." I opened my eyes and saw many people fighting with each other. That's the dream I had every single night!

" You will never be part of my life again you monster!" I turned around and saw a blurred figure. This time that voice was screaming. With pain and anger. I wasn't sure what was happening. This voices were playing inside my head. I tried to cover my ears but they just got more intense. I screamed on top of my lungs and fell on the ground. All of a sudden the ground began to break. I fell into the dark abyss. I tried to grab the air with my hands, but that was useless. I appeared by my new house, but something was different here. The windows were broken. The front door was wide opened. I tried to come closer and then all of a sudden I was paralyzed. The voices began to whisper "evil" all over my head.  Some weird bright light was breaking from the inside of the house. I looked down my legs and saw that my leg was glowing with it. I tried to touch it and all of a sudden I opened my eyes in the middle of the forest again.

"Holy sh..." I raised up holding my head. It was probably around 5 am in the morning.

"I probably just blacked out because of..." I looked down to reassure that my injury was still there but...it was gone.

"What in the.." I jumped on my legs and felt nothing. The blood was still there, but the bite mark was gone. I wanted to cry, disappear, or just forever stay in this forest. How will I explain to my mom why I was gone for that long? Hey mom I was attacked by some weird ass creature, he almost ripped my leg out but don't worry, using my hand I lifted him up in the air and turned him into a meatball. Oh and also my leg healed. Bullshit.

I began to walk randomly. I was walking for 30 minutes, until I heard few car sounds. I almost cried due to the happiness of escaping this nightmare. I rushed towards the road and saw few cars driving by. I quickly jumped on the road to force all upcoming traffic to stop. The drivers were mad but I didn't give a shit at this point. I just wanted to get home.

"Listen up! Nobody wants to sleep with, please move yourself out of the way!" Some old fart began to speak. Ew I wouldn't even sleep with you for free.

"I need to get to the city, you dump fuck, I had a terrible day, I almost died and all I want right now is to get to my house. I remembered your plate number, and as soon as I get home, I'll let the police know you declined to help a teenager that went missing last night. The whole Silverer will know. So you better do a full 180 with your car, and get me home." I said with a breaking voice. After what happened to me, I wasn't scared to do something crazy like this.

"Okay okay, whatever, get into the back seat I'll get you home." The driver said with a scared tone in his voice. I told him my home address and we drove away from that forest. That was the forest that changed my life...forever.
