Aaron's Disappearance

After arguing with me, Aaron asked for a leave of absence from the school. He told the Office a Friend had died.

He told his family that my body was found in the woods with claw marks all over. He told them that I died from blood loss alone in the woods. Then he went to his room.

He was playing his own family to see if I was lying to him.

He laid on his bed for hours facing the wall.

After refusing to eat all day his brother came in to let him know dinner was ready..

When Aaron pretended to be too upset to respond, his brother said "I'm sorry I didn't think that go that far. Her eyes just scared me you know...the eyes of a monster... like the one that took mom. Aaron is in disbelief. he can't believe his own brother would do that.

"I saw her 'freak face'. I knew that she was part Vampire, but she was equally a wolf. In fact her Grandparents started this community. He went looking through the woods in full wolf. It's been freezing everyday since. So any evidence would be there still. It's snowed but nothing has melted... he has to see for himself.

After crossing the freezing river he picked up the sense of her blood.

After more the a week he could still find it. The tree had red ice around the base.

The ground was frozen solid. You can see the bubbles. Where the warm blood started to seep in through the frozen soil before freezing itself....

He sets at the trunk of the tree where Murray had laid bleeding out against the trunk. He sat there crying. When he noticed black feathers. The black feathers were soaked in frozen blood.

He stared at the feather for a long time he sat there until sunrise.

"this was my fault."

He left the woods stained in the blood that melted with the heat of his body overnight.

He didn't go home.

He went to the house of Marie's grandparents. He recognize them from a shared memory.

He knocked loudly continuously until the door was answered. It was her father.

"I know who you are but you don't know me."

"sorry kid most of the people here know me."

"I'm not a child. Neither is Marie."

Marie's father is a very large man. With an intimidating expression.

He stepped out of the home shutting the door behind him.

"So you've met my daughter?"

"don't you recognize the smell of your own daughter's blood? Can't you smell it?"

He grabs Aaron around the throat.

"What have you done to my daughter? Is she okay? Where is she?"

"She's at school. She's safe now. " Aaron was barely able to respond. From the pressure on his neck.

Aaron stands up and walks to the door.
