Scarlett part 2

(Authors note: This chapter might be a bit confusing but that doesn't mean you should stop reading, with time you will understand but for now just bear with me.)

"Piercing feathers"

Swoosh

About a dozen feathers that looked like razors flew towards the worm and pierced it around its body mercilessly. Blake and the leader of the squad looked up at where all the feathers were coming from and saw a saw a beautiful woman with red hair wearing a red shirt with a red skirt and red boots. This was the woman who Blake bumped into and was also the same woman who gave mayor Norman the certificate.

It was miss Scarlett.

The only visible difference she had right now compared to before was that she had wings now that were made up of multiple white feathers making her look like an angel.

The leader of the squad and some of the remaining soldiers looked at her with absolute appreciation for her beauty in fact, some of the soldiers were drooling just by staring at her and there was only lust.

The feathers continued attacking the worm until eventually it died. Scarlett then ordered them to return to her which they did, she then looked around and saw the way the men were looking at her and she was disgusted and decided to approach the leader and talk to him but then she noticed a certain person who wasn't looking at her with lust like others did but instead he stared at her with indifferent eyes as if he didn't care about who she was.

Swoosh!

As Scarlett descended elegantly, the wind howled and Scarlett looked behind only to see a black shadow approaching really fast. She was about to use her piercing feathers skill but wasn't fast enough as the shadow instantly appeared in front of her which was actually a tiger with black fur, the tiger raised it's claw and was about to attack Scarlett.

Swoosh

Stab!

The wind howled and the sound of something being pierced was heard in the ears of everyone present.

The all looked behind Scarlett and saw the Blake with the sword in his hand and the tiger impaled by the sword from the jaw upwards. Blake then pulled out the sword and said in an indifferent voice as the system message flashed in his eyes "I hope we're settled from last time."

[You gain STRENGTH+3, AGILITY+4, DEFENSE+2, STAMINA+4, MANA+2, HEALTH+3]

"Trash" said Blake in a bored voice.

Some of the soldiers looked at Blake with jealousy because they thought he had saved Scarlett because he wanted to win her favour but soon that jealousy turned to pity for Blake as they started thinking about how disappointed he would be when Scarlett doesn't accept him because Scarlett was the most beautiful woman in the whole of Lexville and she had turned down many men who other women could only dream of having.

If Blake knew what these people were thinking he would spat out 3 litres of blood and died on the spot. Blake had two reasons for saving her.

The first reason Blake saved Scarlett was because he remembered how due to his clumsiness his ice-cream stained her shirt and she had to go change into a new one. To others this might not sound like much of a big deal but to Blake he had to make it up to her and the second was because he couldn't let a possible ally die just like that.

The beast gave a skill scroll which Blake picked up and put in his pocket.

"Thank you" said Scarlett.

"Whatever" said Blake nonchalantly as he didn't care whether she thanked him or not but some people wouldn't let this go.

"How dare you talk to miss Scarlett like that, don't you know she's the most beautiful woman in all of Lexville?!"yelled a soldier in anger completely forgetting that Blake just saved them.

Blake turned around and looked the man in the eyes and said calmly "because I don't relate with the weak".

Gasp!

Everyone including Scarlett gasped as he not only didn't care about her compliment but still called her weak. Scarlett's blood was boiling as of this moment as although she didn't care about the former but she did about the latter, she remembered what happened when the system message flashed in her eyes for the first time.

-10 minutes before the first system message appeared.

When the climate suddenly changed and people started running around in fear and destroying many things Scarlett had a sad expression on her face as the citizens had run wild.

She looked towards where the mayor was and when she saw he was gone, she cursed him in her mind and sighed sadly as she couldn't do anything here as even if she tried to talk to them none would listen,she then returned to her car where her driver and bodyguards were waiting.

When she arrived at her car she quickly got in and the driver started the engine and zoomed off.

On her way home she saw many people hiding in their homes afraid, others committing evil acts and she felt pity for them.

Bang!

A lightning bolt hit the ground in front of the car and the driver pressed the brake but due to the speed of the car he hit his head on the steering wheel and died.

The bodyguards then helped Scarlett get out of the car and escorted her back home but, on their way they were ambushed by a man who was once a soldier who had gone senile and had a gun with him. The man shot the two bodyguards in the head and then pointed his gun towards Scarlett and was about to pull the trigger when a blue light shine brightly and a shadow came out of Scarlett's body and attacked and killed the man.

The shadow came back to Scarlett and it was a bird that looked like a phoenix that was gray in colour. The system message then appeared in Scarlett's eyes.

[Earth's mana core has overfilled and the mana has been leaked into the world.]

[Due to the weak soul of humans a system has been created.]
